Palworld 1.0 New Resources & Materials Guide

Everything the 1.0 update forces you to grind for. Read it, or keep guessing at the crafting menu forever.

Palworld 1.0 update materials didn't just add new items, they rewired half the crafting tree you already memorized. Pal beds, assembly lines, storage chests, all of it now demands resources that didn't exist a patch ago. Below is the full rundown, no repeated intros, no "let's dive in" filler, just what each material is, where it comes from, and what eats it.

Tier 1: Resources Bolted Onto Old Recipes

Pocketpair's solution to a pile of resources nobody used was simple: force you to spend them. Wooden boards, hardwood, and high-quality wooden boards now gatekeep items you built in hour one of the game.

Material

Made From

Crafted At

Used For

Wooden Board

Wood, Fiber, Nails

Workshop Assembly Line

Assembly lines, Pal beds

High-Quality Wooden Board

Hardwood, Wood, High-Quality Cloth

Workshop Assembly Line

Drafting table, large fishing pool

Hardwood

Chopped from trees on the floating islands

N/A (harvested)

Large pal beds, refined metal chests

None of these require a new tech tree detour beyond unlocking the recipe, so treat this tier as a tax, not a project.

Tier 2: Mid-Game Assembly Line Materials

This is where Palworld 1.0 crafting materials start compounding into each other. Every item on this list is built from resources you were already hoarding pointlessly.

Cryogenic Coolant

Older cold-related materials

Armor, fishing magnets, power pods, hot spring

Corrosive Solvent

37

Venom Gland, Sulfur

Feeds directly into Thermal Cores

Bio Battery

44

Electric Organ, Refined Ingot, Carbon Fiber

Electric furnace, ceiling lamps, item retrieval machine

Computer

50

Circuit Board, Plastial, Bio Battery, Carbon Fiber

Advanced storage, ancient tech

Thermal Core

59

Flame Organ, Coal, Corrosive Solvent, Hexalite

Armor, ammo, wing suit

How to get cryogenic coolant Palworld players keep asking about: it's produced at the production assembly line once unlocked at level 31, from ingredients you've likely had sitting in a chest since day two. Same principle applies to corrosive solvent and thermal cores. Everything upstream feeds everything downstream. It's a supply chain, and you are the unpaid intern running it.

Reality check: exact quantities per craft shift between patches. Treat every number here as "roughly this much," not gospel. The devs change their minds more than you do.

Solar Light Ingots and AI Cores

Solar Light Ingots are the new load-bearing material of the mid-to-late game, made at the Ancient Furnace from Solar Light (floating islands) and Pure Quartz. AI Core Palworld crafting sits above that: unlocked at level 67, built at the Advanced Workshop from Computers, Solar Ingots, Thermal Cores, and Ancient Civilization Cores.

  • AI Cores craft the wing pack, new sword variants, and ancient armor sets.
  • Solar Light Ingots feed into a large chunk of the new 1.0 item list, so mine Solar Light every time you're near the floating islands.

The World Tree: Where Farming Becomes a Punishment

The World Tree area guide nobody wants to write, because it's tedious: the zone is locked until you find the NPC who hands you the Echoing Flute blueprint, collect four items from the whale-bone locations marked on your map, craft the flute at a primitive workbench, and return to trigger a boss fight against Pal Felis. Capture it, talk to the NPC again, then interact with the World Tree terminal. Only then do the exclusive materials become farmable.

World Tree Holy Water

World Tree Holy Water Palworld farming is mandatory, not optional, because it's the only thing letting you harvest World Tree resources without them vanishing on contact. Get it from the Teafant Springs scattered around the World Tree zone, or skip the whole ritual by catching a Pal with one of the new Rainbow passives, which lets you approach these resources without drinking anything at all.

Mythical Wood and Pal Metal Ore

Mythical Wood comes off any tree in the World Tree area, provided you've got that Rainbow-passive Pal in your party or enough Holy Water to bypass the requirement. It fuels wing cells for the wing pack, so expect to farm it constantly. Pal Metal Ore is the purple rock variant scattered through the same zone, and it exists for exactly one purpose.

Pal Metal Ingots: The Actual End Boss of Resource Farming

The Pal Metal Ingot recipe Palworld 1.0 introduced is crafted exclusively at the Ancient Furnace, requiring Pal Metal Ore, World Tree Holy Water, and Sulfur Ore. All three ingredients live in different corners of a zone designed to waste your time, which is the point. This is the material gate for the game's best late-game gear, so budget your play sessions accordingly.

Ingredient

Source

Pal Metal Ore

Purple rocks, World Tree area only

World Tree Holy Water

Teafant Springs or Rainbow-passive Pal

Sulfur Ore

Desert regions, pre-1.0 zones
