Palworld 1.0 launched and dumped 73 new Pals on you at once, which is generous in the way a landlord raising rent by 40% is generous. If you were hoping Palworld 1.0 new pals would be a quick scavenger hunt, adjust your expectations downward, then downward again. Most of the roster is stapled to two new zones: the Sunreach floating islands and the World Tree, and the World Tree in particular is locked behind beating every main tower boss first. So no, you cannot skip the story and go straight to the good stuff. The game wants your time, not just your attention.
Roughly a third of the new arrivals are not new species at all: they're existing Pals wearing a different elemental costume, tagged with suffixes like Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Lux, Primo, or Terra. Palworld pal variants exist to make you re-catch things you already own, which is either lazy design or genius monetization of your free time, depending on your mood.
