Palworld 1.0 New Pals: Full Location Guide Every from 73 Pals

Palworld 1.0 launched and dumped 73 new Pals on you at once, which is generous in the way a landlord raising rent by 40% is generous. If you were hoping Palworld 1.0 new pals would be a quick scavenger hunt, adjust your expectations downward, then downward again. Most of the roster is stapled to two new zones: the Sunreach floating islands and the World Tree, and the World Tree in particular is locked behind beating every main tower boss first. So no, you cannot skip the story and go straight to the good stuff. The game wants your time, not just your attention.

Roughly a third of the new arrivals are not new species at all: they're existing Pals wearing a different elemental costume, tagged with suffixes like Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Lux, Primo, or Terra. Palworld pal variants exist to make you re-catch things you already own, which is either lazy design or genius monetization of your free time, depending on your mood. Below is everything, sorted by where the game forces you to go get it.

Early Game & Main Map Pals

These spawn near the starting area or scattered across the original map, so no story progress is required: a rare act of mercy. If you're chasing Palworld 1.0 pal locations for a fresh save, start here before the game gets cruel.

World Tree Pals

The World Tree is the game's punishment zone for people who finished the story. It's dense with late-game Palworld World Tree pals, most with brutal capture requirements and stat checks that assume you've been paying attention.

Access requires clearing every main tower boss. There is no shortcut, no cheat door, and no amount of begging that unlocks this early.

Reading The Variant Naming System

Once you notice the pattern, half the "new" Pals stop feeling new and start feeling like a reskin sale. Useful shorthand for Palworld pal variants:

  • Ignis: fire-element reskin
  • Cryst: ice-element reskin
  • Noct: dark-element, usually nocturnal spawn
  • Lux: electric-element reskin
  • Primo / Terrneutral or ground reskin

None of this is a scandal. It's how live-service monster games pad a patch note. Just know what you're chasing before you burn three Pal Spheres on a Pal you already caught wearing a different jacket.

Work Suitability & Partner Skills Cheat List

Base management gets more granular with this update, and knowing Palworld work suitability numbers before assigning jobs saves you from stapling a Lv1 gatherer to a facility that needed a Lv6. A short survival checklist:

  1. Check the highest work level per Pal before slotting it, not after you've already built the base around it.
  2. Palworld partner skills that boost base-wide suitability (like Clovee, Amone, Puff, Tetro) are worth catching early regardless of combat stats.
  3. Pals with poor work suitability but strong partner skills (Valentail, Hudel) exist purely for the passive effect: do not bench them for "efficiency."
  4. Boss versions of regular Pals share the same partner skill pool but sit at much higher levels, so plan capture gear accordingly.

Palworld 1.0 New Pals: Full Location Guide Every from 73 Pals FAQ

How many new Pals does Palworld 1.0 add?

Roughly 73 additions total, mixing brand-new species with elemental reskins of existing Pals across two new zones.

Where do most new Pals spawn?

Mainly the Sunreach floating islands and the World Tree, with a handful scattered across the original map.

How do I unlock the World Tree?

Defeat every main tower boss first. There's no shortcut, no cheat, no early access whatsoever.

What do suffixes like Ignis or Cryst mean?

They mark elemental variants — fire, ice, dark, electric, or neutral reskins of Pals you probably already caught.

Are boss-only Pals catchable normally?

Some are, most aren't. A few, like Agodron, only exist as boss encounters with no wild spawn.
