Palworld Best Base Pals 1.0: Work Level 10 Guide
New guide: how to unlock, build, and actually use the Palworld Ancient Relic Recycler without losing your mind in the process.
You've reached the part of Palworld 1.0 where the game stops pretending to be nice. The Ancient Relic Recycler turns Ancient Civilization Relics into loot you actually want: ingots, gems, blueprints, skill fruits, work suitability books. The catch is a crafting chain so long you'll question your hobbies. Let's walk through it, slowly, so you feel every step.
The Palworld Ancient Relic Recycler sits in the tech tab at level 74. You don't get to skip this by being clever. Grind the level, unlock the schematic, move on with your life.

Material |
Where It Comes From |
|
Pal Metal Ingot |
Crafted at Ancient Furnace, requires Pal Metal Ore + Sulfur Ore + World Tree Holy Water |
|
Mythical Wood |
Farmed manually in the World Tree area (or recycled later, but you need it fresh first) |
|
Ancient Civilization Parts |
Old-world material, expeditions, raid bosses, shiny piles |
|
Ancient Civilization Cores |
Same sources as above, you should already be swimming in these |
None of this works without access to the World Tree Palworld zone. Here's your obstacle course, presented without decoration:
Skip a step and you get to do it again. The game does not care about your time.
Trees and glowing ore in this zone vanish the instant you touch them, unless a Pal in your party carries one of the new rainbow passives. Find one in the wild or hunt down an Ominous Egg, which guarantees a baby Pal with a rainbow passive skill Palworld players are currently farming Discord servers over. Alternatively, drink World Tree Holy Water before harvesting; either method stops the resources from despawning on you like they're embarrassed to be seen.

Nothing crafts without this. It needs Paldium Ingots, Thermal Cores, Computers, and Ancient Civilization Cores, plus a Kindling Pal and a Cooling Pal, each with a level six working trait, because apparently one specialist per job wasn't humiliating enough.

Once the furnace exists and powers on, unlock Pal Metal Ingot crafting in your tech tab. Combine Pal Metal Ore, Sulfur Ore, and World Tree Holy Water. Sulfur Ore comes from the floating islands, or from a mining site if you'd rather automate your suffering. You'll need fifty ingots and fifty Mythical Wood before the recycler even lets you build it. Fifty. Count them yourself.
With the recycler built, kill things in the World Tree area and collect Ancient Relics from bosses, minibosses, and shinies. Drop the relic and some Holy Water into the machine, and it converts the relic into ingots, gems, blueprints, cores, or skill fruit. The Holy Water doesn't visibly get consumed and nobody, including the developers during early access, seems totally sure what it does mechanically here. Add it anyway. Different relic tiers exist, but the reward pool barely changes, so don't overthink which one you feed the machine.
The entire loop, start to finish: unlock furnace, farm zone mats, craft ingots, build recycler, kill things, feed machine, repeat forever. Welcome to endgame.
That's the whole Palworld 1.0 guide to the Ancient Relic Recycler. It's not complicated, it's just long, tedious, and gated behind six other systems the developers clearly enjoyed making you suffer through. Go forth and grind.

Level 74, in the tech tab. No amount of clever farming skips the level requirement itself.
Yes, one with a rainbow passive, or drink World Tree Holy Water before harvesting instead.
Unclear even to players; it goes in, doesn't visibly deplete, add it anyway regardless.
Fifty, alongside fifty Mythical Wood, plus Ancient Civilization Parts and Cores.
Not noticeably; reward pools stay similar across relic tiers, so feed in whatever you have.
