Palworld 1.0: Unlock Zenara & Astralym World Tree Boss
New Palworld guide: get Mythical Wood, Paloxite Ore and World Tree Holy Water before the World Tree eats your patience alive.
Palworld World Tree, the game's final area, designed specifically to punish you for having free time. Here you'll find Mythical Wood, Paloxite Ore, and World Tree Holy Water, three resources the developers placed behind just enough friction to make you question your hobby choices. Let's get through it.
Before you can even disappoint yourself farming here, you need access. This requires clearing every Tower Boss across Palpagos, Feybreak, and Sunreach, then capturing a Panthalus and using it at the Altar with a Whalaska to cross the barrier. If any of that sentence confused you, you are not ready for what follows.
Walk up to any tree or ore node here and it vanishes on contact, because the game hates you personally. There are two fixes, one temporary, one permanent, both equally annoying to set up.
|
Method |
What It Requires |
How Long It Lasts |
|
Drink World Tree Holy Water |
Vials collected from Teafant Springs (10 per touch) |
Temporary, you'll run out mid-farm |
|
Equip a Pal with a Rainbow Passive |
Random drop or hatch an Ominous Egg |
Permanent aura, farm freely forever |
The game generously offers you a choice between "manage a consumable forever" and "gamble on egg RNG." Truly spoiled for options.
The real endgame prize is a Rainbow Passive, since it removes the vanishing-resource nonsense entirely. Five exist, each with a catch, because nothing here is allowed to be simply good.

|
God of Destruction |

Obtainable via implant too |
You get these by catching Pals in the area and hoping, or by hatching an Ominous Egg, a special egg from this zone that guarantees one of these passives. Given the odds of a wild drop, treat the egg as your realistic plan and the random drop as a bonus you'll brag about later.
Once your resources stop fleeing at the sight of you, harvesting is embarrassingly simple. Mythical Wood comes from the region's trees; chop, shoot, or otherwise assault them until they yield. Paloxite Ore comes from the purple rock formations scattered around, mined the same way you'd mine anything else. Bring a Plasma Multicutter if you own one, since it shreds both node types faster and saves you the indignity of standing there swinging a pickaxe for a full minute.
Defeating any Pal in the World Tree area has a chance to drop World Tree Holy Water itself, alongside Ancient Relics and Gems. It's a tidy loop: kill Pals for water, use water to harvest safely, repeat until the concept of a peaceful game session feels distant.
Relics get condensed at the Ancient Relic Recycler for rewards and Ancient Tech unlocks, and this recycler is arguably the most efficient farm in the update, since it also hands back Paloxite and Mythical Wood without you touching a single tree. Gems go into the Ancient Workbench to power up your Pals. Paloxite itself gets refined into a Paloxite Ingot for the game's top-tier crafting recipes, which is the entire reason you put yourself through this.

And that's the full loop. The Palworld 1.0 update built an entire endgame region around making you drink a potion so a tree doesn't run away from you. Go forth and farm, or don't, the tree will still be there tomorrow, smugly intact.

You lack Holy Water or a Rainbow Passive. The game punishes unprepared players by design, not accident.
Hatch an Ominous Egg. Wild Pal drops exist too, but the odds insult your time.
No, the passive replaces it entirely. Save the water for crafting instead.
Kill Pals in the area for drops, or touch Teafant Springs for ten vials instantly.
Farm Ancient Relics and recycle them at the Ancient Relic Recycler. It's the laziest efficient option.
