Taking on the Rogue Buccaneers faction quest line (often referred to as part of the Glorious Hunters arc) is a wonderful way to kickstart your journey in Windrose! Completing this adventure rewards you with a fantastic 200 Faction Reputation points and a unique item called the Buccaneer's Friend.
Be sure to use the promo code CRINGEBLOG! Rest assured, just like this guide, it won't let you down and is sure to live up to all your expectations. ^_^
If your character is around Level 3 or 4, this quest chain is the absolute perfect way to safely boost your faction standing, unlocking better gear, helpful building blueprints, and friendlier dialogue options with the local NPCs.
Here is a friendly, step-by-step walkthrough to help you easily navigate the first phase of this quest and gather all the hidden treasures along the way!
Your first objective is to explore three specific locations marked on your map to gather vital clues and quest items. Taking your time to thoroughly look around each site is highly recommended, as they are packed with extra goodies!
This camp is a goldmine for early-game items and contains your first major quest requirements.
π Wildlife Tip: Keep an eye out for wild boars roaming around the camp! When you see a red glint in their eyes, they are getting ready to charge in a straight line. Simply dodge sideways to avoid the impact, and strike while they recover. Bringing a few Healing Potions along will keep your health bar nice and full!
When you arrive at the warehouse, you will find the main entryway gently blocked by some old storage containers.
Your final stop takes you to an impressive fort that rewards adventurous climbers.
Once you have gathered all the pages and components, you'll be fully prepared for the next exciting step in your Buccaneer adventure!

With the Broken Musket, Damaged Flask, and both diary pages in your hold, you now have the distinct pleasure of sailing to the Rogue Buccaneers Main Base on a remote island to personally inform Henri Boucher that his brother Marcel and every member of his hunting party are dead. Pirates attacked, they were forced to hide in the jungle, and the jungle apparently won. You are bringing the evidence. You will hand over the Broken Musket as proof. Henri will process his grief in approximately four lines of dialogue and then immediately commission you to commit violence on his behalf. Emotional efficiency at its finest.
Do Not Skip This You cannot progress the quest without the Broken Musket in your inventory. Sailing to Henri empty-handed is a waste of fuel and a test of what level of personal failure you are comfortable with.
The Windrose Henri Boucher location is fixed at the Main Base. Follow the quest marker. He will not have wandered off to find closure on a beach somewhere. The conversation triggers automatically when you interact with him. Hand over the musket when prompted. Do not linger hoping for a cutscene that honors the gravity of the moment: this is a pirate survival game, and grief is a mechanic here, not a theme.

Sail back to the Rogue Buccaneers Main Base. Speak with Henri. He will confirm that justice has been served: or vengeance, which in this world are the same thing wearing different hats. The quest closes. Your rewards arrive. You have earned 200 faction reputation with the Rogue Buccaneers reputation points system and the Buccaneer's Friend item, which sits in your inventory as a quiet trophy of what you were willing to do for 200 numbers.

The 200 reputation feeds directly into the Windrose faction reputation system, which operates as follows: you accumulate Insignias by looting and killing, hand them to the Bounty Agent at Tortuga, and slowly unlock access to better goods at the faction Provisioner. Letters of Favor: earned through quests like this one: are worth 10 reputation points each and represent the fastest legal method of climbing faction standing. Completing Glorious Hunters places you measurably ahead of anyone who decided the main campaign was sufficient and faction quests were optional. It is not a large gap, but it is a real one, and it will show up the moment you want to buy something decent.
The quest becomes available at level 3, but level 4 makes the boar fights and ship combat noticeably less humiliating for everyone involved.
No, but the Broken Musket and diary pages are split across camps. Miss those and Henri's conversation simply will not advance. Visit all three anyway.
One Buccaneer's Friend item and 200 Rogue Buccaneers reputation: both legitimately useful for unlocking better gear and vendor dialogue early on.
Yes. Windrose supports up to four-player co-op. Splitting campsites between players cuts exploration time significantly and makes the boars look embarrassing.
Hand Insignias and Letters of Favor to the Bounty Agent at Tortuga. Higher standing gradually unlocks gear tiers and building blueprints at their Provisioner vendor.
