Warzone Season 5 release date is July 23, 2026, launching alongside Black Ops 7 at 9am PT / 11am CT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 4pm UTC, worldwide, simultaneously, so nobody gets a head start except the people who preloaded like adults.

New Verdansk POI: Drone Labs

• The Mammoth LMG is a twin barrel heavy hitter arriving mid season as an event reward through the Machine of War event.
• The Mace is a melee weapon earned through Weekly Challenges for players who enjoy getting close enough to smell their opponent's fear.

The Warzone Season 5 battle pass ships over 100 rewards across free and premium tiers, and the Spectre operator unlocks instantly with the standard $10 pass. BlackCell buyers, because apparently $10 wasn't punishing enough, get the exclusive Cipher operator plus a Mastercraft weapon blueprint.

Completing the full pass rewards a Viscera Ultra Skin for Spectre, a Legendary Carbon 57 SMG blueprint, 200 CoD Points, and assorted cosmetics that will sit unused in your inventory forever.

Modes and Events

Heavy Metal Heroes returns as a limited time mode, alongside Lockdown Casual, and the Machine of War event tasks players with collecting Fuel Cans for camos, reticles, and the Mammoth LMG itself. Supply Drones now carry a chunk of loot in the air instead of on the ground, roughly 40% of Legendary Supply Box contents, so shoot the drone or wait like a patient predator.

Patch Notes Highlights

The Warzone Season 5 patch notes quietly nerf Thermite damage against vehicles, because apparently melting a tank with a single grenade was too generous. Cluster Strike and Smoke Screen indicators are now more visible at screen edges, a fix for a problem that has existed since launch and was somehow never priorities until now.
