BO7 Season 5 Jubilee Guide: Maps, Weapons, Zombies

Black Ops 7 Season 5 drops on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 9 AM PT, and the headline attraction is the new 6v6 map Jubilee, a rural Japanese town where a festival collapses into gunfire. Alongside it you get four new maps, four new weapons, a new Zombies Survival map, and Warzone's Drone Labs, so nobody has an excuse to be bored, only an excuse to die faster.

Jubilee: The Festival That Bites Back

Jubilee is a medium 6v6 map built around a pachinko arcade, a shrine, a palace courtyard, and a main street lined with festival stalls. The Jubilee map forces a choice on every spawn instead of letting everyone camp the same lane, which is either brilliant design or a cruel joke depending on how many times you get flanked through the Garden Path.

Two remastered maps also return day one: Frequency, the Black Ops 4 surveillance station, and Dig, the Black Ops 2 ruins. Neither one forgives you for standing still, and this is your last free ride into Endgame before Season 6 locks it behind a purchase.

New Weapons: Four Ways to Ruin Someone's Day

Season 5 adds the FG42 Assault Rifle, the Gremlin SMG, the Mammoth LMG, and the Mace melee weapon. The FG42 is unlocked early on the Battle Pass and rewards patience with high damage and low recoil, so naturally most players will spray it like a garden hose anyway.

• The FG42 is a fully automatic assault rifle with 37 weapon levels and a 30 round magazine built for medium to long range fights.
• The Gremlin SMG is a permanent dual-wield weapon that cannot aim down sights and survives entirely on hip-fire accuracy and aggression.
• The Mammoth LMG trades mobility for twin reciprocating barrels and sustained suppressive fire that punishes anyone foolish enough to stand in the open.
• The Mace is the melee option for players who consider bullets a personal insult.

Unlocking the Mammoth requires finishing an in-season event rather than a Battle Pass page, so if you want to lock down objectives with brute firepower you will have to earn it, which is only fair since everyone else earned their deaths already.

Zombies and Endgame

The Black Ops 7 Season 5 Zombies map adds Eidskallen Lighthouse, a new Survival battleground, while the existing Kowakujō map gets Directed Mode and a Starting Room. The mid-season update brings the confrontation with the Warden, closing out the Black Ops 7 Zombies story, which is nice, because someone finally has to answer for all this.

Endgame gets Ability Boosts, letting you upgrade Major and Minor Abilities in Zone IV and Nightmare regions with reduced cooldowns and extra ammo. The new Burn Run Assignment puts you in a bomb-rigged vehicle you must keep moving through checkpoints while running over enemies for bonus time, a design philosophy best summarized as "keep driving or explode."

Warzone: Drone Labs Arrives in Verdansk

Warzone Season 5 Drone Labs is the new point of interest south of Quarry, and it comes with Juggernaut Armor at launch plus the ability to shoot down Supply Drones and airborne Buy Stations for loot. Hunter Killer Drones are planned for Resurgence and Battle Royale, because apparently ground threats were not humiliating enough.

The Season 5 Battle Pass ships with over 100 rewards spanning Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame, plus the BlackCell upgrade for players who want exclusive Operators and premium Blueprints immediately instead of grinding for them like everyone else.

For players still deciding which gun to grind first, the FG42 is the sensible starting point thanks to early availability and versatility, though sensible has never described the average lobby.

Whatever you choose to run, Season 5 is live July 23, and the only thing standing between you and the leaderboard is everyone else who read this same guide.
