Equip two pieces and you get Primary Honing: better handling and reload on primary weapons, plus bonus damage against non-boss combatants scaled to your Weapons stat. Naturally, this rewards the exact stat-stacking behavior every Destiny 2 armor set bonus already encourages you to do, so nothing about buildcrafting philosophy has changed, only the numbers got bigger.

Below 100 weapon stat Destiny 2 investment, the bonus still applies, but the return shrinks to under 3%, which is Bungie's polite way of telling you to stop being cheap and finish the build. Pair the two-piece with something that keeps you fed, like King's Fall for double ammo bricks, or Smoke Jumper if you'd rather not die between reloads.

The Four-Piece: Supercyclical

Go full four-piece and you unlock Supercyclical: final blows during your Super refund energy when it ends. This is the same trick as Stormdancer's Brace, just built into armor instead of an Exotic, which means it stacks. Run both, and a Storm Trance build refunds two-thirds of your Super with no diminishing returns, tested in both the firing range and live content. This is absurd, and I mean that as a compliment.

• Ballidorse Wrathweavers + Supercyclical: same 2/3 return
• Geomag Stabilizers + Supercyclical: technically works, but Geomag isn't built for racking up kills, so don't bother
• Any roaming Super clearing 5-10 adds: still nets 1/3 back on its own

The catch nobody advertises: this only matters if your Super actually kills things. A one-shot boss-damage Super gets nothing. Supercyclical is an ad clear roaming super tool, not a DPS cooldown reducer, so stop trying to make it one.

Iron Battalion isn't a special snowflake. It's one more entry in the Monument of Triumph update's Armor 3.0 overhaul, where every set in the game got a 2-piece and 4-piece passive. You can mix two different 2-piece bonuses from separate sets plus an Exotic, or commit to one set for both bonuses. Should You Bother Farming It

Yes. Obviously yes. A Destiny 2 PvE build running Storm Trance, Chaos Reach, or any exotic that already refunds Super energy becomes borderline unfair with this set layered on top, and the two-piece alone is one of the strongest primary-weapon damage bonuses currently in the game for content that isn't boss damage. Given the state of the studio, get your farming done before something else breaks.
