Our WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior guide is live: covering Siege of Orgrimmar BiS, burst cooldown alignment, AoE rotation, arena build, and everything e
One of the few genuinely pleasant things Blizzard introduced in Mists of Pandaria was a talent system that did not require a spreadsheet from 2007 to navigate. WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior talent builds are built around a simplified tier system: six rows, three choices each, one correct answer per row (and one correct answer per fight type, if you bother using Tome of the Clear Mind between pulls like a functioning adult).
|
Tier |
Level |
Talent Name |
Function & Strategy |
|
Tier 1 |
15 |
Juggernaut |
Charge twice in a row. Primarily a quality-of-life choice for re-engaging after movement. |
|
Tier 2 |
30 |
Enraged Regeneration |
Personal survival cooldown. Essential to use despite lack of healer coordination. |
|
Tier 3 |
45 |
Disrupting Shout |
AoE interrupt. Mandatory for dungeons and multi-caster fights; superior to Piercing Howl. |
|
Tier 4 |
60 |
Dragon Roar |
Guaranteed crit, ignores armor. Primary single-target burst filler. Swap to Bladestorm for AoE. |
|
Tier 5 |
75 |
Vigilance |
30% external damage reduction (2-min CD). Best used on the tank for raid utility. |
|
Tier 6 |
90 |
Storm Bolt |
500% weapon damage vs. stun-immune bosses. Heavy ST nuke to be used during Colossus Smash windows. |

The Fury Warrior Mythic+ build WoW MoP Classic is not "Mythic+" in the modern sense: Challenge Modes are the MoP equivalent: but the dungeon-optimized build swaps Tier 4 from Dragon Roar to Bladestorm, because Bladestorm with two two-handed weapons in a trash pack is the physical embodiment of everything this spec stands for. Tier 6 can also shift to Bloodbath for sustained bleed damage across packs, particularly when paired with Bladestorm. The synergy between the two is unreasonably satisfying.

Glyph |
Effect |
Priority |
|
Increases Rage cap to 120. More Rage means more spending inside Colossus Smash. Mandatory. |
Core |
|
|
Charge generates 20 Rage instead of 15. Every point of Rage counts. Take it. |
Core |
|
|
Reduces Heroic Leap cooldown by 15 seconds. Great mobility on fights that demand it. |
Situational |
|
|
Interrupting a spell gives you 10% damage for 10 seconds. Excellent on interrupt-heavy fights. |
Situational |
Minor glyphs in MoP are largely cosmetic or provide marginal convenience. Glyph of the Subtle Defender removes threat generation from Defensive Stance, which matters if you ever swap to it mid-fight for damage reduction without wanting your raid leader to age ten years. Glyph of Bloody Healing increases bandage healing while Deep Wounds is active: a niche that will likely never apply to you, but at least it exists.

The WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior raid rotation is not a strict sequence. It is a priority system: a hierarchy of decisions you make every global cooldown while managing Rage, Enrage uptime, and the ever-present anxiety of whether Colossus Smash is about to fall off before you can dump your resources into it. The two macro questions governing every moment of your gameplay are: is Colossus Smash active, and is the target below 20% health?
Fury Warrior burst cooldown alignment MoP Classic is the foundation of your opener and every subsequent cooldown window. Stack Recklessness, Skull Banner (if assigned), and your on-use trinket simultaneously. Then chain into Colossus Smash and make every GCD count. Cooldowns used outside of a Colossus Smash window are cooldowns being disrespected.

The Fury Warrior single target priority MoP Classic is governed by the Colossus Smash window above all else. Outside of that window, you are generating resources and procs. Inside it, you are spending everything you have, in order:
Bloodsurge: When Bloodsurge procs (20% chance on Bloodthirst hits), your next three Wild Strikes are free and have a reduced GCD. Use them immediately. Free damage has no wrong answer.

The WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior AoE rotation is where the spec graduates from "good DPS" to "raid-wiping threat numbers if nobody is watching." Two two-handed weapons spinning through a crowd of enemies is a feature, not a bug, and Bladestorm is the headline act. On AoE encounters, swap Dragon Roar out for Bladestorm before the pull: Tome of the Clear Mind costs almost nothing and the DPS difference on five-plus targets is not subtle.
Note that Bladestorm locks you out of other abilities for 6 seconds. This is a commitment. Do not open Bladestorm if the tank is about to kite the pack off a cliff, the mobs are about to die, or you have never seen the encounter before and have no idea what happens next. Experience is free. Stupidity is less so.
The WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior stat priority is mercifully uncomplicated compared to some classes, though it does require you to understand what "hit cap" and "expertise cap" mean before you embarrass yourself reforging into Haste like a rogue who wandered into the wrong armor vendor.
The Fury Warrior best professions MoP Classic question has a mercifully short answer: Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting remain the top combination for DPS Warriors, as they have been since Wrath. Blizzard went to the effort of tuning all professions to roughly equal stat gains in MoP: approximately 320 primary stat equivalent: but the execution quality varies.
Blacksmithing grants two extra gem sockets (one each on wrists and gloves via the Blacksmithing profession perks). This flexibility lets you socket exactly the stats you need, which matters when you are chasing Hit and Expertise caps. Jewelcrafting grants access to Serpent's Eye gems, which provide 1.5x the stats of regular epic gems in the yellow socket: use one Smooth Serpent's Eye for Critical Strike. The combination of these two professions gives you the most control over your stat distribution of any option available.
Alternatives worth noting: Engineering offers Synapse Springs, a hand-enchant that provides an on-use Agility proc that stacks with other cooldowns. Alchemy provides an extended Flask duration and stronger Flask bonuses: relevant for the consumable-conscious raider. Inscription provides a shoulder enchant (Greater Tiger Fang Inscription) that outperforms the Therazane alternative. None of these surpass Blacksmithing plus Jewelcrafting, but they are not embarrassing choices if your crafting situation demands it.

The Fury Warrior PvP guide MoP Classic section begins with an honest and pointed disclosure: Arms is the correct Warrior spec for PvP in this expansion, and anyone who tells you otherwise is either misinformed, loyal to a fault, or playing Fury for entirely personal and cathartic reasons that have nothing to do with winning. That said, Fury in PvP is not unplayable: it is simply sub-optimal in a meta where Mortal Strike's healing reduction is the currency by which Warrior PvP value is measured.
What Fury offers in PvP is raw, sustained pressure backed by Recklessness burst windows and the healing-reduction application of Wild Strike's Mortal Wounds debuff, which reduces healing received by 10%: anemic compared to Arms' Mortal Strike version, but better than nothing, which is what you had before you read this sentence.
The Fury Warrior arena build WoW MoP Classic swaps some of the raid-centric utility picks for survivability and pressure tools. In arenas, your burst window is everything: most matches are decided by whether your Recklessness cooldown aligns with a kill window before the healer has the game under control.
|
Tier |
PvP Pick |
Reasoning |
|
T1 (15) |
Double Charge means gap-closing through every pillar-hugging caster who has personally wronged you. |
|
|
T2 (30) |
Self-heal while Enraged. Necessary because your healers in arenas will not always be there for you emotionally or practically. |
|
|
T3 (45) |
AoE silence on a short cooldown. Casters despise it. This is the correct response to casters. |
|
|
T4 (60) |
Burst damage and knockdown. Opens kill windows. Always crits. |
|
|
T5 (75) |
Vigilance or Avatar |
Vigilance for peeling pressure off a teammate. Avatar if you want a raw damage button to force the healer to react. |
|
T6 (90) |
A stun, a nuke, and a reason for the healer across the arena to say something they regret. Take it. |
For gear, prioritize Resilience on every socket until you reach the comfortable PvP floor, then layer in Strength. The Malevolent Gladiator sets provide solid baseline stats and acceptable set bonuses for the early PvP seasons. Transition into Tyrannical and Grievous sets as seasons progress.
How to play Fury Warrior in WoW MoP Classic PvP, distilled to a sentence: Charge in, apply Wild Strike's Mortal Wounds to the healer's target, build Rage, and detonate your burst when Recklessness is ready. If they CC you, break it with Berserker Rage and re-engage. If they kite you, use Heroic Leap to close the gap and re-evaluate your life choices regarding spec selection. The spec is forgiving in execution but unforgiving in preparation: without correct gear and cooldown management, you will feel like you are attacking someone through a mattress.

The Fury Warrior macros and addons WoW MoP Classic toolkit is not optional for anyone who takes their DPS numbers seriously enough to have read this far into a guide. Macros compress your cooldown alignment into fewer keypresses; addons prevent you from flying blind on proc tracking and cooldown management.
|
Macro Name |
Code |
Purpose |
|
Burst All-in-One |
#showtooltip Recklessness |
Stacks Recklessness, Skull Banner, and both trinkets with one button press. The only correct way to use these abilities. |
|
Force Enrage |
#showtooltip Berserker Rage |
Simple, but bind it somewhere accessible. Berserker Rage is your emergency Enrage button and you will need it at inconvenient moments. |
|
Heroic Leap + Dragon Roar |
#showtooltip Heroic Leap |
Leap into a pack and immediately detonate Dragon Roar. The sequence of events is gratifying and the damage is real. |
WeakAuras 2 is a requirement. Build or import an aura set that tracks: Enrage duration, Bloodsurge proc count and duration, Raging Blow charge count, and Colossus Smash duration on the target. If you can see all four of those things without scanning five UI elements, your reaction time to proc windows will improve measurably. Skada or Details! for DPS tracking. Bartender4 for sane bar management. OmniCC to display cooldown numbers on ability icons so you are not guessing.
WoW MoP Classic Fury Warrior DPS optimization and Fury Warrior MoP Classic performance ceilings are conversations that begin and end with Enrage uptime. If your Enrage uptime is below 80%, no amount of gear, cooldown alignment, or spiritual wellness will save your parse. The spec is an engine that runs on Enrage: take that fuel source away and you have a plate-wearing bystander swinging expensive swords for no reward.
Enrage Snapshot:Enrage in MoP no longer increases damage taken (a mercy Blizzard quietly extended in this expansion). It simply increases physical damage dealt by 10% for 6 seconds. That 10% is your entire personality as a Fury Warrior. Protect it accordingly.

Fury is excellent in PvE, especially in Siege of Orgrimmar, and outclasses many specs on cleave encounters with proper gear.
Fury for PvE raiding and cleave damage. Arms for PvP and Mortal Strike healing reduction in arenas. Simple.
Colossus Smash windows determine everything. Recklessness and trinkets stack inside them for maximum damage output.
Two-handed weapons in both hands via Titan's Grip. Weapon damage is your primary damage driver: always upgrade weapons first.
Pool Rage before Colossus Smash, spend it inside the window on Wild Strike and Raging Blow. Never cap Rage passively outside burst.
