The Traits system is Blood Hunt's skill tree. You earn Trait points by playing matches and leveling up. Squirrel Girl traits Blood Hunt are split across three trees: General (base attributes), and two signature-specific trees tied to her primary abilities.
Invest first in General Traits for damage and health floors. Then push the Burst Acorn tree hard: her primary fire is the backbone of everything. Squirrel Blockade traits come last, used to set up your imprisonment combo on bosses.

Every hero in Blood Hunt best build territory needs to understand the gear system before they do anything else. There are four gear slots: Weapon, Armor, Accessory, and Exclusive. Gear drops from enemies and bosses during every run. It comes in five rarities. Here is what each slot does for Squirrel Girl specifically:
|
Slot |
Effect |
Priority for Squirrel Girl |
|
Weapon |
Increases damage output directly |
Maximum priority. Always upgrade first. |
|
Armor |
Increases health and damage resistance |
High priority on Nightmare difficulty. Squirrel Girl has no tank ability. |
|
Accessory |
Bonus effects: Critical Rate, Block Rate, etc. |
Stack Critical Rate. It multiplies your acorn ricochet damage substantially. |
|
Exclusive |
Squirrel Girl-specific ability enhancement |
Enhances Squirrel Blockade and Burst Acorn directly. Never skip this slot. |
Gear comes in five rarities — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Higher rarity means stronger bonuses. You will spend most of your early runs in Common and Uncommon, and you will feel every bit of that experience.
The Forge menu lets you scrap unwanted gear into Uru Shards, then smelt those shards into new items for any hero or slot you choose. The quality ceiling of crafted items scales with your hero's level — at level 32 and above, Epic and Legendary outputs become realistic. The system is RNG-based, meaning it will absolutely give you gear for the wrong slot at the worst possible time. This is a feature.

Arcana upgrades sit next to the Traits tab and represent Marvel Rivals Season 7.5's deepest progression layer. Arcana points accumulate far slower than Trait points: this is intentional. You will be running the mode repeatedly before these feel meaningful, which is the exact psychological mechanism NetEase designed them to be.

For Squirrel Girl, prioritize Conquest over Immortality in early Normal runs. The faster you amplify damage output, the faster you farm better gear from higher-difficulty clears, the faster you access the Nightmare tiers where the actually interesting rewards live.
Your Squirrel Girl abilities in Blood Hunt are PvE-tuned versions distinct from her competitive kit. The fundamentals are the same. The application is different. Here is what you need to know:
Fires large projectiles that ricochet off surfaces up to twice, exploding on contact. In Blood Hunt's vampire-infested streets with buildings, alleyways, and corridor choke points, this is your primary DPS tool. Aim at walls behind enemy clusters. Watch the explosions do your work for you. Feel nothing.
Launches a projectile that deals direct damage and imprisons the target briefly. Can be charged for higher projectile velocity. Against bosses, pairing this with Mammal Bond lets you cycle two imprisonments back-to-back: one of the most effective boss-control patterns in the mode. Use it whenever Capwolf starts thinking about attacking your teammates.
Reduces cooldowns significantly. In Blood Hunt context, this ability exists almost exclusively to reset Squirrel Blockade so you can imprison something again. This is its entire purpose. Respect that purpose.
Provides vertical mobility and repositioning. Blood Hunt maps have elevation. Use Tail Bounce to reach high ground between waves, which keeps you out of melee range of the vampire hordes that will absolutely kill you if you let them touch you. Squirrel Girl is not designed to take hits. She is designed to avoid them while shooting bouncing explosives from above like a particularly caffeinated engineer.
Releases a stampede of squirrels in a forward charge. In Blood Hunt, use this against grouped enemy waves between boss stages, not against bosses themselves where positioning control matters more. The lead squirrel of the stampede has 300 HP: enemies can destroy it, cutting off the chain. Aim it along walls and corners where the ricocheting herd can hit multiple targets. This is deeply undignified. It is also effective.

Yes. She outputs clean sustained DPS, excels at boss encounters, and absolutely clears vampire hordes in enclosed spaces.
Weapon first for damage, then Exclusive for ability tuning, then Accessory stacking Critical Rate, then Armor for survivability.
