Loki Path to Doomsday PvP Build Guide

The Marvel Rivals Loki Path to Doomsday build is not a question of preference. You are the only villain available. The mode gave you a massively expanded health pool, a reworked kit built entirely around the Mind Stone, and the unique pleasure of functioning as a one-man army against six people who genuinely believe cooperation will save them. It will not. Not without your active assistance through catastrophic misplay on their part.

Yes... Yes... i know... this guide is completely CRINGE... SO... as for my own excuse... you can get this CRINGEBLOG promocode, which is working... for ANY offer at our shop... even if it custom...

Loki's core identity in this mode is unchanged from what made him dangerous as a Strategist: he is slippery, deceptive, and capable of turning the battlefield into a geometry problem for the opposing team. The difference is that the Path to Doomsday version removes the support training wheels and hands him the Mind Stone, which means he can also make the opposing team into a geometry problem for themselves.

This is not the regular roster Loki. His kit in The Avengers mode is completely exclusive to this event. Do not waltz in expecting Blood Hunt logic, trait trees, or crafting systems. This is pure asymmetric PvP with a reworked boss skill set. Adjust your expectations accordingly, or enjoy the education the hard way.

The Loki 1v6 Kit: Full Ability Breakdown

The best Loki build Marvel Rivals players understand the kit before touching a match. Every ability here feeds into the same machine: create confusion, divide attention, punish coordination failures. The six heroes across from you were designed to work together. Your entire job is to ensure they cannot.

Ability

Type

Function

Priority

Mystical Missile

Primary Fire

Energy projectile. Damages enemies, heals allies (clones). Slow projectile speed — aim at large, slow targets first.

Core

Doppelganger

Ability (2 charges)

Places stationary illusions that mimic your primary fire at your current target. Two active at once. 60-second duration. The primary source of your pressure multiplier.

Max First

Deception

Secondary / Escape

Places an illusion, grants Loki invisibility with 20 HP/s self-heal. Does not break on reload or Devious Exchange. Breaks on attacking. Your primary survival tool between cooldowns.

Max First

Devious Exchange

Mobility

Swap places with any illusion within 30m. 15-second cooldown. Bait movement abilities. Survive ultimates. Open flanks. Use it with purpose, not as a nervous habit.

Core

Mind Stone Field

Ability (New)

Deploys a field that briefly mind-controls any hero caught in it, turning them against their own team. Duration and radius scale with investment. The reason six players now distrust each other.

Max First

Regeneration Domain

Defensive

Creates a rune field that provides high HPS and converts 30% of damage taken into direct healing for nearby allies (your clones). 30-second cooldown. Reactive, not proactive.

Situational

God of Mischief (Ultimate)

Ultimate

Summons cloned versions of the Avengers themselves to fight for you. Temporarily grants access to any hero's full kit or Ultimate. Forces the enemy to fight their own team composition. Delightful.

Save for Turns

Backstab

Melee

Quick knife thrust. Extra damage from behind. Use when a target is isolated and turned away. Do not brawl melee in a 1v6. You are not Hulk.

Emergency

Loki Path to Doomsday PvP Build Guide

Loki Traits: Path to Doomsday

The Loki asymmetric PvP build prioritizes traits that compound his confusion output. Each illusion is a pressure node. The Mind Stone field is a coordination grenade. Traits that enhance duration, radius, and clone fidelity earn their points. Anything else is a comfort purchase for players who have already decided they are going to lose with style.

Trait

Points

Effect

Priority

Mischief Amplified

3

Increases Mind Stone field radius and duration. More area covered means more heroes mind-controlled per activation. The most reliable single investment in the tree.

Max First

Mirror Fidelity

3

Boosts Doppelganger clone damage and health. Sturdier illusions that hit harder create a genuine targeting dilemma for the opposing team. They will shoot the wrong one constantly.

Max First

Shadow Veil

3

Extends invisibility duration and increases self-heal rate under Deception. Survivability between engagements. Necessary at higher-skill lobbies where Avengers actually coordinate.

Second Tier

Stone Resonance

3

Reduces Mind Stone Field cooldown and adds a secondary disorientation pulse. Allows more frequent redeployment of the mode's strongest tool. Not optional at serious play.

Second Tier

Trickster's Endurance

3

Passively increases Loki's health regeneration between engagements. Third priority. The health buff this mode ships him with already buys adequate breathing room for skilled play.

Third

Arcana Priorities

Arcana in Path to Doomsday scales Loki's raw output as the match progresses. The God of Mischief does not reward passive accumulation. Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 Arcana follows the same philosophy as Blood Hunt: maximize the damage layer first, then survivability, then the situational bonuses that exist primarily to make you feel something during the last thirty seconds of a match you have already decided.

Priority

Arcana Upgrade

Notes

1st

Mind Dominance Output

Maximizes damage and control duration from Mind Stone abilities. This is your primary win condition. Everything else is scenery.

2nd

Resilience / Health

Increases Loki's effective health pool. Necessary against coordinated Avengers teams who correctly focus him when clones are down.

3rd

Illusion Multiplier

Enhances clone damage scaling. Useful, but irrelevant if you die before investing in the first two. Do not confuse optional with worthless.

4th

Cooldown Reduction

Tightens the gap between Mind Stone Field activations. Worth the points only after all above categories are maxed. This is the cherry, not the cake.

The Two Winning Approaches

There is a dominant strategy and a high-variance strategy. Both work. One works more consistently. The correct choice depends on how much you enjoy gambling with the six most dangerous humans on the planet.

Dominant: Mind Stone Chaos Build

This is the best Loki PvP build for the vast majority of lobbies. Place both Doppelgangers before every engagement, trigger Mind Stone Field at the moment the Avengers cluster around an objective or each other, and let the resulting friendly fire do the organizational damage. You are not trying to kill all six heroes. You are trying to make three of them kill the other three. The difference matters enormously for your cooldown management.

Phase

Action

Goal

Opening

Deploy both Doppelgangers at flanking angles to the objective. Stay visible long enough to anchor their attention.

Force positioning decisions before they have communicated a plan.

Mid-Engagement

Drop Mind Stone Field on the highest cluster. Use Deception to go invisible. Observe the chaos from a polite distance.

Trigger friendly fire. Destroy team coordination. Watch Iron Man accidentally murder Black Widow.

Cleanup

Use Devious Exchange to close distance on isolated targets. Mystical Missile from an unexpected angle. Backstab where available.

Convert the confusion window into eliminations while cooldowns are reset.

Hulk Denial

Interrupt objective completion sequences. Prioritize any hero moving toward a Hulk-summon trigger point.

Prevent the one event that significantly shifts the match against you.

The Two Winning Approaches

High-Variance: Clone Army Ultimate Rush

Stack Arcana aggressively toward cooldown reduction and Illusion Multiplier first. Save the God of Mischief ultimate until the Avengers have used their most dangerous abilities. Drop it to summon your cloned Avengers team, then activate a copied enemy Ultimate using their own most dangerous kit against them. It is the equivalent of stealing someone's weapon mid-fight and immediately returning it to their face. This approach punishes passive, reactive teams but collapses entirely against players who correctly read the ultimate buildup and disengage immediately. In ranked lobbies with communication, assume they will.

Map Control: Yggsgard Royal Palace

The Loki vs Avengers tips most players discard in the first minute: use the map. Yggsgard is not a flat arena. It has vertical levels, chokepoints, and environmental event triggers that the Times Square equivalent made famous. You are not obligated to stand anywhere. The Avengers have to come to the objective. You have to be wherever they are not expecting you.

  • High ground above the central objective is where Doppelgangers should be placed. Clone firing lines from elevation create targeting angles that the Avengers cannot simultaneously address from ground level.
  • Chokepoints between objective zones are where Mind Stone Field generates maximum value. Six heroes funneled through a corridor are six heroes who cannot scatter fast enough.
  • Environmental event zones tied to the Path to Doomsday narrative will actively complicate movement. Let them. Any environmental disruption that hits the Avengers while you are behind a wall is a free damage interval.
  • Do not cluster with your clones in the same visual space. Six players with functional aim will locate and delete all three Lokis inside thirty seconds if you give them a single clean target cluster.

The Hulk Problem

The six Avengers can summon Hulk by completing specific in-match objectives. When they succeed, Hulk delivers the iconic "puny god" treatment to Loki, which is as mechanically unpleasant as it sounds and as narratively accurate as it is unwanted. Denial is not optional. The moment you identify which objective feeds the Hulk summon condition, that objective becomes your primary interruption target until the window closes.

Non-Negotiable

Hulk is the Avengers' win condition. Treat the summon objectives the way a Blood Hunt player treats the Pendant of Ostr slot: non-negotiable priority. Six angry heroes are manageable. Six angry heroes plus Hulk is a result screen.

Practically: use Devious Exchange to close distance on objective holders faster than they expect. A mind-controlled Iron Man flying into the objective zone and disrupting his own team's progress is two problems solved simultaneously. Prioritize this interaction above almost everything else in the mid-game.

What Loki Players Get Wrong

The Marvel Rivals asymmetric PvP mode exposes a specific category of player: someone who watched a Loki cinematic, got into the queue, and immediately started sprinting toward all six opponents simultaneously on the grounds that Loki has enhanced health. He does have enhanced health. He does not have enhanced intelligence, and that is the real limiting factor in most losses.

  1. Fighting in the open without clones deployed. Two illusions are two additional firing lines and two targeting distractions. Playing without them active is playing at one-third capacity. There is no excuse.
  2. Burning Devious Exchange casually. This mobility tool is what keeps you alive against dive heroes and targeted ultimates. Using it to close gap on a Hawkeye who has two allies next to him is a donation of your survival cooldown to people who did not earn it.
  3. Ignoring Hulk summon objectives. Addressed above. Addressed again because it kills Loki players with consistent reliability and the lesson apparently requires repetition.
  4. Using Regeneration Domain proactively. It is a reactive tool. Save it for an incoming ultimate or a moment where you and your clones are actively being focused. Using it on four vampires who were already walking into your Mystical Missile field is a thirty-second cooldown wasted on a situation that was already resolved.
  5. Mind Stone Field deployed on scattered heroes. The field needs cluster to generate value. One mind-controlled hero in an open area without teammates nearby is one briefly confused hero. Aim for three minimum, ideally four, and ideally through a chokepoint where they cannot simply walk out of range.

Hero-Specific Threat Assessment

Not every Avenger is equally dangerous. Some are infrastructure problems. Some are execution problems. The Marvel Rivals 1v6 Loki experience varies dramatically depending on which player ends up on which hero and how competently they use the kit available to them

Hero

Threat Level

Priority Approach

Iron Man

High

Mobile, ranged, difficult to catch. Mind Stone Field converts him into a guided missile aimed at his own team. The single highest-value mind control target in most engagements.

Thor

High

Burst mobility and stagger. Bait his hammer throw before engaging. Use Deception to reset if he closes distance and the clones are down.

Hulk

Extreme (if summoned)

Do not let him get summoned. If he is already summoned, the match has materially changed and your optimal play is to stall while identifying whether a mind-control window can create a friendly-fire situation involving Hulk's own team.

Captain America

Medium

Objective-oriented and mobile. Most dangerous as a Hulk-summon facilitator. Prioritize when he is near summon triggers.

Black Widow

Medium

High-precision flanker. Use Devious Exchange to punish her positioning. She cannot handle a clone-based targeting problem without burning significant resources.

Hawkeye

Low-Medium

Punishes static positioning with precision. Keep moving. Doppelgangers create the targeting dilemma that negates his damage. His value drops sharply when the target pool includes two non-Loki Lokis.

The Short Version

Max Mischief Amplified and Mirror Fidelity first. Prioritize Mind Dominance Output in Arcana. Deploy clones before every engagement, not during. Use Deception as a survival tool, not an offensive opener. Drop Mind Stone Field on clustered targets through chokepoints. Deny the Hulk summon above every other objective priority. Save the Ultimate for the moment the Avengers have already committed their most dangerous cooldowns. The Loki God of Mischief Marvel Rivals kit does not reward aggression. It rewards patience dressed up to look like aggression.

Loki Path to Doomsday PvP Build Guide FAQ

Is Loki playable against all six Avengers simultaneously from the start?

Yes. One Loki player queues directly against six Avengers from round one. No build-up phase.

What does the Mind Stone ability actually do in this mode?

It deploys a field that briefly mind-controls any Avenger caught inside, forcing them to attack their own teammates.

Can Hulk be prevented from spawning, and is it worth the effort?

Yes, by interrupting Hulk-summon objectives. It is mandatory, not optional. Hulk severely tilts the match.

Does this mode affect regular Loki on the standard roster?

No. The Path to Doomsday kit is exclusive to this event. Standard Loki remains unchanged in all other modes.

What is the single most important mechanic to master as Loki?

Deploying Doppelgangers before every engagement. Playing without active clones is voluntarily playing at a fraction of your kit.
