WoW 12.0.7 Tier List: Best M+, Raid & PvP Specs
Turbulent Timeways V is live in Patch 12.0.7. Six Dragonflight dungeons, a new frost drake mount, and ten weeks to pull it off. Your calendar is alrea
Turbulent Timeways is a multi-week Timewalking meta-event where a different expansion's dungeons rotate in each week. Every dungeon you finish stacks the Knowledge of Timeways buff: five percent XP per stack, refreshable, and it converts into the Mastery of Timeways buff at four stacks, granting a full thirty-percent XP bonus. You need that Mastery buff active in five separate weeks to complete the achievement. Not five consecutive weeks. Five weeks within the event window. Blizzard is being almost reasonable about it.
In patch 12.0.7, this is the fifth iteration: Turbulent Timeways V: and it debuts Dragonflight Timewalking for the first time, as if Dragonflight ended years ago rather than last expansion. Enjoy the nostalgia, or whatever this is.
The event ends August 25, 2026. Week 6 is your absolute last entry point. Start after that and the mount achievement becomes mathematically impossible. Blizzard does not care.

Ten weeks total, five needed. That is a five-week buffer. Miss a week to vacation, skip a week for raid prog, take a week off because Ruby Life Pools is in rotation and you have feelings about it: you can absorb all of that and still get the mount.
The system rewards you with an XP buff for running dungeons and then holds your achievement progress hostage for five weeks. Here is the exact loop, stripped of any pretense that it is complicated:
Minimum-Effort Route
Week one: four dungeons to earn Mastery. Weeks two through five: one dungeon per week to refresh the buff before weekly reset. Total investment across five weeks: roughly eight dungeons. An evening split over five weeks. Painful only if you dislike dragons.
The Timewalking Dungeons queue for each week features whichever expansion is currently in the rotation. Running Dragonflight Timewalking dungeons counts. Running any expansion's Timewalking dungeons during their week counts. Progress is not locked to a specific expansion's week.

Each dungeon yields roughly 15–25 Timewarped Badges. The weekly quest rewards a Heroic-track gear cache: scaled to Midnight Season 1: useful for alts that need a floor lift before the next season. Running five dungeons for the weekly quest takes about forty-five minutes. Badge math for a single vendor mount at 5,000 badges: expect twenty to thirty dungeon clears, achievable across two or three event weeks.
The weekly Timewalking quest cache now rewards Hero-track item level gear: upgraded from the Champion track used in previous iterations. Five dungeons, one cache, one piece of gear per character per week. Unspectacular for a geared main; genuinely useful for an alt climbing into Season 2 prep.
The XP buff is the most underrated part of the event. Four dungeons earns a thirty-percent Mastery of Timeways buff lasting three hours, refreshable by completing more dungeons. Leveling an alt during Turbulent Timeways V: particularly during Shadowlands or Mists Timewalking weeks, which have historically been the most XP-dense: is faster than at any other point in the patch.
Push the four dungeons on your alt during the Mastery window. Thirty percent XP on top of any rested bonus and other active buffs compresses leveling time significantly. Finish quests while the buff is active. Log off before it expires to avoid wasting it.
Turbulent Timeways represents the highest badges-per-hour window in the entire expansion cycle. The event participation bonus stacks with the standard dungeon completion reward. If your goal is clearing the vendor backlog: say, four or five mounts at 5,000 badges each: budget this out now rather than panicking in week nine.

One vendor mount costs 5,000 badges. At 200–250 badges per efficient session (weekly quest plus six to eight dungeon clears), that is roughly two sessions per mount. Ten weeks of the event gives you room for three to four mounts if you play consistently. Prioritize the new Black-Furred Bakar first: it is a new addition. The Shadowlands bronze mounts have been available before and will likely return.

Any five weeks within the June 16 – August 25 window. No streaks required. Miss two weeks in a row and nothing breaks.
The achievement is account-wide. Earning Mastery on any character during a given week counts toward the meta-achievement progress for your account.
Week one requires four dungeons to earn Mastery. Subsequent weeks require just one dungeon to refresh the buff before the reset.
No. August 25, gone. Previous iteration mounts moved to vendors post-event; this one does not have a confirmed vendor path.
Hero-track, scaled to Midnight Season 1 item levels. Exact ilvl floor may shift if Blizzard adjusts mid-event.
