WoW Patch 12.0.7 Dragonflight Timewalking Guide

Dragonflight Timewalking enters the permanent rotation with Patch 12.0.7. Six dungeons, scaled down, back in your life whether you liked them the first time or not. The event is called Turbulent Timeways V: the fifth iteration of Blizzard's recurring nostalgia slot machine. It runs ten weeks and the headline reward vanishes the moment it ends.

Event window: June 16 – August 25, 2026. Five weeks of active participation required for the mount. You have five buffer weeks. Use them wisely or waste them. Either way, the clock doesn't care.

The Dungeons

Six instances from the WoW Midnight patch 12.0.7 dungeon pool. All scale to your item level via standard Timewalking mechanics. Minimum entry: level 60, item level 180.

The Turbulent Timeways achievement requires accumulating a buff called Mastery of Timeways across five separate calendar weeks before August 25. Here is the formula:

1. Week 1: Complete 4 Timewalking dungeons to build the Knowledge of Timeways buff, which upgrades to Mastery of Timeways.
2. Weeks 2–5: Log in, run a single dungeon each week to maintain and re-register the buff.
3. After five tracked weeks: achievement auto-completes, mount delivered by mail. No vendor visit required.

Weeks do not need to be consecutive, but the event ends August 25. Miss more than five weeks and the math no longer works. Plan accordingly or don't: it's your mount.

Mounts 5,000 badges each

Two Timewarped Badge mount purchases at the Dragonflight Timewalking vendor (Xydan, Bronze Enclave, Valdrakken: eastern platform overlooking Spark of Ingenuity), plus one achievement mount.

The Spawn of Vyranoth is a frost dragonkin with spiked shoulders. It is account-wide. It is not available after August 25 by any other means. The Magma Slug and Bakar remain on vendor after the event.

For those whose collection obsession has metastasized into battle pets: the Shadowflame Remnant pet is a fire elemental remnant of Fyrakk's assault on Amirdrassil. Tiny. Haunted. 2,200 badges.

The WoW transmog farming crowd gets a solid haul. All ensemble and weapon prices are in Timewarped Badges from the Dragonflight Timewalking vendor. Note: the Earthwarden ensemble is shoulders and helm only: the rest is Neltharion's model and apparently too much work to detach. Players are, predictably, furious.

Weapons

Badge Math: Worst Case

If you want everything: both vendor mounts (10,000), the pet (2,200), all three toys (2,250), all weapons (7,600), and all ensembles (15,500): you are looking at roughly 37,550 Timewarped Badges. Ten weeks, roughly 75 badges per dungeon run. You do the arithmetic. Then you cry. Then you run Ruby Life Pools again.

The Timewarped Badge farming fastest path: four Ruby Life Pools clears equals roughly 60–90 minutes and satisfies Week 1's buff requirement. Subsequent weeks need one run. Gearing alts is a secondary benefit: the weekly quest cache scales to current Heroic track item level.

About Dragonflight Timewalking: Permanently

After Turbulent Timeways V ends, Dragonflight Timewalking dungeons remain in the standard Timewalking rotation permanently. The vendor and its rewards do not go anywhere. The Spawn of Vyranoth does. This distinction is worth tattooing somewhere visible before June 16.
