Spawn of Vyranoth

Blizzard, in their infinite mercy, decided the Turbulent Timeways V reward should be a Spawn of Vyranoth: a spiky, icy proto-drake offspring of the Dragonflight Primal Incarnate of frost. The mount is account-wide, flying, and time-limited. After August 25, 2026, it's gone. No vendor. No catch-up. Gone.

There is no vendor fallback for this mount after the event ends. Miss the window and you get to watch other people fly past you on it. Congratulations.

How to Get the Spawn of Vyranoth

The Spawn of Vyranoth is the exclusive reward for completing the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement. The achievement requires earning the Mastery of Timeways buff during five separate weeks of the Turbulent Timeways V event. Not five dungeons. Five weeks. This is intentional cruelty dressed as a cadence.

Step-by-Step

1. Log in during any week of Turbulent Timeways V (June 16 – August 25, 2026).
2. Complete 4 Timewalking dungeons to stack the Knowledge of Timeways buff four times. Each dungeon adds a 2-hour stack.
3. At 4 stacks, the buff upgrades to Mastery of Timeways: a 30% XP bonus that lasts 3 hours and refreshes on dungeon completion. Week one counted.
4. Repeat across 4 more separate weekly resets. Non-consecutive weeks are fine. You have 5 buffer weeks.
5. After 5 separate weeks with the buff: achievement completes, mount lands in your collection. Account-wide. You're done.

Minimum grind per week: 4 dungeons (roughly 60–90 minutes during a Dragonflight Timewalking rotation week). Five weeks total. That's under 10 hours for a flying mount. Stop complaining.

The event runs 10 weeks, giving you 5 buffer weeks in case you miss a reset. Starting from Week 6, you've exhausted your buffer: every remaining week becomes mandatory. Plan accordingly or explain to your future self why you don't own this mount.

The Dragonflight Timewalking component debuts in this patch and is tied directly to the Turbulent Timeways event. Six Dragonflight dungeons rotate into the pool for the first time, bringing DF-era transmog, the fastest badge-per-hour in the event, and at least one dungeon guaranteed to destroy a random pug on the first pull.

Fastest Grind Path

The event is not designed to punish you, which makes it unusual. Here is the optimal path through Turbulent Timeways V if your time is finite and your patience is a resource:

• Week 1: Run 4 Timewalking dungeons to earn Mastery of Timeways. Also complete the weekly quest (5 dungeons) for the gear cache. That's 5 dungeons total, under 90 minutes.
• Weeks 2–5: 4 dungeons each week to re-earn the buff. Queue for Dragonflight Timewalking weeks first: dungeons clear faster and badges-per-hour peaks here.
• Buff maintenance: Run dungeons before the Knowledge of Timeways timer expires if you want the 30% XP bonus active for alt leveling. Irrelevant if you're only chasing the mount.
• Alt strategy: Progress is per-character for the achievement. The mount, once earned, is account-wide. One character. Five weeks. Done.

The Turbulent Timeways V event is also one of the better times to power-level alts in Midnight. The Distilled Knowledge of Timeways XP buff stacks to 30% and refreshes with every dungeon completion. If you have alts to level, run extra dungeons during the event window.
