Maisara Caverns: The Dungeon That Hates You Personally
Midnight Season 1 is live! Four new World Bosses are roaming the zones – each dropping Champion 4/6 Warbound gear. Find out where they are and how not
You've made it to Midnight Season 1, which means Blizzard has once again decided that what you truly needed was a set of absolutely enormous creatures stationed across the world with the singular purpose of ruining your Tuesday. Four World Bosses now prowl the lands of Zul'Aman, Eversong Woods, Voidstorm, and Harandar: each rotating weekly, each dropping a single piece of Warbound-until-equipped Champion 4/6 gear per Warband per reset, and each apparently personally offended by your existence.
This guide will walk you through where to find them, what they do to you specifically, and what scraps of loot they grudgingly vomit onto the ground after you finally, mercifully, kill them. Good luck. You're going to need considerably more than that.
In a display of breathtaking generosity, all four bosses share the exact same four pieces of armor. Because why would you want boss-specific flavor when you can have four nearly identical characters wearing the same hat? These drop from any of the four bosses: which is Blizzard's way of saying "it doesn't matter which one you kill, you're still getting the wrong slot."

Wow Midnight Cragpine Guide
📍 The Stump, Zul'Aman /way 45 48
Ancient as the cliffs themselves, Cragpine slept peacefully for centuries until you showed up. He was minding his own business beneath a comfortable canopy of towering pines, and now he's awake, furious, and armed with a literal tree. You did this. You walked into his forest. You woke him up. Congratulations on your contribution to the local ecosystem.
Cragpine is essentially a walking nature documentary gone wrong: he commands treants, summons roots from the earth, and beats people to death with botanical weaponry. The real tragedy is he was napping just fine, and some adventurer with nothing better to do decided to "explore." Hope the ilvl 256 neck was worth it.

Wow Midnight Lu'ashal Guide
Eversong Woods /way 45.2 60.0
While the Lightbloom devastated most of Eversong's wildlife: you know, normal animals with the basic decency to simply die: Lu'ashal decided to absorb all that Holy energy and grow to gargantuan size. She is described as "as dangerous as she is beautiful," which is the WoW equivalent of saying "she will murder you, but gracefully."
Lu'ashal rains radiant energy from the sky, splits the ground open into blinding fissures, and unleashes waves of Radiant Embers across the battlefield because she clearly has strong opinions about personal space. Standing in her general vicinity is actively bad for your health. Standing still is worse. Existing in the same zone is frankly inadvisable.

WoW Midnight Predaxas Guide
Predaxas does not rest, does not reason, and devours with a hunger as insatiable as the void itself. That's the lore description. The practical description is: a massive creature that has eaten so many things it regurgitates them at you during the fight. As a mechanic. Intentionally. Blizzard designed this on purpose.
The Gorging Pit: a name that should have been your first warning: is Predaxas's home turf, and it thrashes around ejecting the contents of its multiple stomachs in your general direction. The adds that emerge from its vomit will then attack you. The fight is, in a word, disgusting. In two words: therapeutically challenging.

Once docile. Once. Thorm'belan used to peacefully roam Harandar's southern wilds, presumably minding its own enormous business, until the Lightbloom infected it and drove it into a state of permanent, irredeemable fury. The solution, as is tradition in this game, is to kill it. Not cure it. Not relocate it. Kill it. We are the heroes.
Thorm'belan wields the corrupted power of the Light like a blunt instrument, hurling crystallized shards that will stun your entire raid if ignored, yanking everyone toward it with vine tendrils, and embedding motes of searing light into players that then explode on nearby allies when they expire. It is, mechanically, an argument for staying far away from your friends in every possible scenario.

Only one boss is active per week: they rotate on the weekly reset. You don't get to pick your suffering; suffering picks you. Check your map for a skull icon marking the world quest, then drag yourself over to whatever corner of Midnight is currently trying to kill you. Next week it'll be someone else's problem.
Each boss drops Champion 4/6 gear at item level 256: Warbound-until-equipped, meaning you can mail it to an alt. For one piece per Warband per weekly reset, it's a reliable low-effort upgrade that costs you approximately five minutes and one group wipe. Compared to Mythic+ and raiding, it's not your ceiling, but it's a fine floor to stand on.
World Bosses are open-world encounters with no lockout on participation: anyone can tag along and contribute. In practice, the more the merrier, since these bosses hit like cargo wagons and spawn adds with feelings about your continued existence. A full group of 20-plus players is comfortable. Attempting this with a group of four friends is a biography, not a strategy.
The Lightbloom is Midnight's expansion-wide corruption event, a surge of aberrant Holy energy that has swept through Eversong and surrounding zones. For most wildlife it's catastrophic. For creatures like Lu'ashal and Thorm'belan, it was more of an unsolicited power boost. Blizzard's storytelling philosophy of "the cure is somehow also the disease, and also a boss fight" is alive and well.
Once per weekly reset, per Warband. The reset rolls over on Tuesdays in North America and Wednesdays in Europe, which means you have approximately 168 hours to contemplate the item slot you didn't get. On the bright side, the boss will be back. On the less bright side, so will the RNG, completely indifferent to your needs.
