Palworld Sekhmet Guide: Stats, Skills, Location & Egg
Super Earth orders you back to work: TCS 2.0 construction is live in Helldivers 2. Defend it, survive the swarm, earn the new marksman rifle.
Super Earth has once again decided that the best cure for a bug problem is a bigger wall, and this time it's called Helldivers 2 TCS 2.0. Arrowhead announced the project through a campaign bulletin, sending you back to the meat grinder to babysit construction crews instead of just spraying chemicals and hoping for the best. Naturally, the propaganda promises it will be "bigger, better, and safer" than whatever failed the last time. It won't be. It never is. But you'll show up anyway, because that's the job.
The Terminid Control System 2.0 is the sequel nobody asked for after the original TCS quarantine network collapsed spectacularly, mutating bugs instead of killing them. This time the megastructures aren't spraying Termicide across the landscape; they're just standing there, defenseless, while you keep Terminids off the construction site. Democracy, it turns out, mostly involves guard duty.

There isn't a neat calendar date pinned to a wall somewhere, and that's on purpose. The TCS 2.0 release date arrived as part of the ongoing Galactic War rollout rather than a scheduled patch, dropping alongside the Frontlines of Freedom campaign bulletin. If you were expecting a countdown timer, Super Earth would like you to file a complaint with a Democracy Officer instead.
Reminder: campaign progress trackers reportedly still show "1 of 1," so nobody outside Arrowhead actually knows how many phases this event has. Enjoy the mystery.
Finish the defense missions and you're handed the R-4 Hyena Marksman Rifle, a permanent unlock for surviving Super Earth's latest infrastructure project. It's presented as a triumphant gift; in practice it's closer to hazard pay for volunteering to stand next to a construction site that bugs are actively trying to demolish.
The first Terminid Control System worked for about two months before the bugs adapted to Termicide exposure and started mutating faster than the scientists could write incident reports. The Termicide 2.0 formula was rushed into service afterward, marketed as "110% safe," which is the kind of statistic that should worry everyone who can do basic arithmetic.

TCS 2.0 isn't a standalone gimmick; it's folded into the newer Galactic Campaigns Helldivers 2 system, which replaced traditional Major Orders with shorter, 1-3 week story arcs that actually hand out usable rewards instead of vague gratitude. The current arc also references newly discovered "Voids" across the galaxy, a plot thread Super Earth has conveniently declined to explain in any detail. Consider it foreshadowing for whatever justifies the next expensive wall.
None of this happens in isolation, either — TCS 2.0 launched as part of the broader Helldivers 2 Update 6.3 rollout, which also brought a new Fall biome and the usual pile of balance changes nobody agrees on. If you're tracking a Helldivers 2 Major Order, this campaign currently is the Major Order, dressed up with a construction hard hat.

A megastructure defense campaign replacing the old Termicide towers, built to hold back Terminid advances galaxy-wide.
It launched with the Frontlines of Freedom campaign bulletin, no fixed calendar date, folded into ongoing Galactic War content.
The R-4 Hyena Marksman Rifle unlocks permanently once the community completes all five defense missions.
Termicide exposure mutated Terminids, boosting reproduction rates until the system was overwhelmed and decommissioned entirely.
Yes, it's the current centerpiece of the new Galactic Campaigns system that replaced traditional Major Orders.
