Warzone Season 4: Fortune's Keep Guide

Fortune's Keep has been in the game twice already: first in Vanguard (2022), then repackaged for Modern Warfare 3. Now it's back for a third lap with a fresh coat of paint, two updated POIs, and a marketing label that says "Refresh" so nobody calls it recycled content. The island sits in the Adriatic Sea and is built for Resurgence: tight alleys, rooftop sightlines, and a layout that punishes you for landing at the wrong building.

The practical changes are two updated points of interest. The area behind Winery got a research laboratory replacing some generic storage boxes. Near the lighthouse, the old gas station became a diner. Neither change will make you rethink your drop spot. The ring behavior is the same circular island logic: expect someone to roll up behind you from the water with a sniper. It will happen. You won't expect it. You'll deserve it.

Fortune's Keep Season 4

The key addition exclusive to this map is the Shadowlink Contract: a Recon variant that spawns only on Fortune's Keep. Complete it and your squad gets a satellite phone acting as a mobile Black Market Buy Station, callable from anywhere on the map. You can upgrade it further by completing tasks, unlocking better inventory tiers. In ranked, this becomes a target. Whoever controls the Shadowlink controls resources. Congratulations, that's now the most important contract on the map.

RANKED MAP POOL (Season 4): Rebirth Island / Haven's Hollow / Fortune's Keep: 48 players, 16 squads.

Playlists

The updated playlist includes Battle Royale Solos on Avalon and Verdansk, Trio Ranked, Resurgence Squads on Fortune's Keep, and the returning Clash mode (52v52). Clash exists because the game needs to look populated. If you load into Black Ops Royale Solos right now you will find bots: actual bots, not bad players, bots. Season 4 adds the Warzone Resurgence ranked play mode with Fortune's Keep in the competitive map rotation for the first time, complete with Placement Challenges that track your finish positions across playlists and reward the least-embarrassing performers.

Buy Stations on Avalon jumped from 49 to 64. Verdansk went from 49 to 51. The Avalon change is substantial: coverage across the full map is now consistent, meaning you no longer get punished for landing in a quadrant with no nearby station. On Verdansk, three extra stations just iron out the distribution. Nobody asked for this on Verdansk.

Advanced Self Revive

The new Advanced Self Revive is a rare-tier item exclusive to Resurgence. When activated, it grants you Active Camo during the revive animation. Complete the revive successfully and the camo persists for two extra seconds: unless you shoot, punch, or do anything aggressive, which cancels it immediately. It also cancels if a teammate interrupt-revives you mid-animation.

This only applies to Resurgence modes, which is the correct call. On a large map with no second-chance mechanics, invisible self-revives would be a different kind of problem. Here it buys you two seconds to crawl behind something before the enemy reacquires you. Whether those two seconds matter depends entirely on the enemy's aim. Manage your expectations.

Champions Quest arrives mid-season. A high-difficulty squad contract with exclusive rewards. Build up to it. Most lobbies won't.

Balance Patch

The Warzone weapon tier list is about to shift. The dominant change: Monolithic Suppressor nerfs across the board. Bullet velocity bonus cut from 20% to 12%. Effective damage range bonus reduced. The entire attachment slot was a monopoly, and Raven Software killed it. In exchange, all suppressors on ARs now grant 10% bonus range, and the old recoil suppressor no longer penalizes bullet velocity. The meta was "build for maximum bullet velocity at all costs." That era is ending.

MXR-17 (AR)

+range on medium damage, suppressor meta benefits it

Confirmed meta. First range up to 60m.

AK-27 (AR)

Reduced horizontal recoil, larger mag

More usable. Still not a must-pick.

DS20 Mirage (AR)

Reduced vertical recoil, new recoil suppressor synergy

Worth revisiting with new muzzle options

Dravec 45 (SMG)

Higher fire rate, +headshot multiplier

~544ms already; this drops it further. Real option.

FGM Soviet (Barrel)

Bullet velocity 14% → 18%

Compensates partially for Monolithic loss

Warzone Season 4: Fortune's Keep Guide FAQ

Is Fortune's Keep actually new or just the same map renamed?

Same map. Third time in the game. Two POI updates. Raven calls it a "Refresh." Make your own judgment.

Is the Advanced Self Revive broken or overpowered?

Two seconds of active camo after reviving. Aggressive action cancels it. Resurgence only. Probably fine.

What replaces the Monolithic Suppressor in every build?

The recoil suppressor (now without bullet velocity penalty) or the FGM Soviet barrel. Build accordingly.

Is the CBRS-3 SMG worth using at launch?

Unknown. The cylinder rotation delay decides everything. Test before committing a loadout slot.
