BO7 Season 4 hits June 4. New Guild operator Leon Rook, a remastered Vertigo, Fortune's Keep Resurgence, the AN-94 revival, and a BlackCell dripping i
Black Ops 7 Season 4 launches June 4, 2026 at 9 AM PT. Treyarch decided the best marketing strategy was to announce it two days before it drops, presumably because they were busy watching someone else's trailer. The roadmap was confirmed to drop Tuesday, June 2. You are reading this instead.
CONFIRMED: Season 4 / June 4 / 9 AM PT across all platforms. No, it will not be delayed. All previous BO7 seasons shipped on schedule. Do not touch the panic button.
The season follows the Guild storyline introduced in prior seasons. JSOC's ongoing failure to stop an augmented paramilitary organization continues, this time starring a new antagonist named Leon Rook: a Guild soldier in full body armor with an animal-tooth helmet, which is either intimidating or a costume malfunction, depending on your threshold.
The Leon Rook operator is the headline face of Season 4's battle pass. Tier 1 gives you the casual version: ammunition chains as accessories, no helmet, dripped out like he looted a pawnshop. Tier 100 delivers the full armored edition: tactical gear, the full mask, the Guild aesthetic cranked to maximum. Treyarch confirmed him as "the Guild's deadly augmented soldier." The bar for "deadly" has clearly shifted since Black Ops 1.
Rook was briefly mistaken for Prophet from BO3 and BO4 by approximately the entire community. He is not Prophet. He is a new character built in the same mold: heavy armor, cybernetic implication, Guild branding. His role in the Season 4 cinematic involves squaring off against Karma. Whether Karma wins is left as an exercise for the person who actually watches the cinematics.
Nothing about the BO7 Season 4 battle pass structure is surprising. It follows the same page-based format introduced in Season 1: 14 pages of paid content, a free track, a Completion Page, an Instant Sector, and the BlackCell Sector for people who enjoy spending $30 on a game they already paid for.

BlackCell owners receive the exclusive operator immediately upon purchase, plus BlackCell variants of High-Value Target blueprints throughout the pass. If you buy the standard Battle Pass and then upgrade to BlackCell, Activision graciously returns your 1,100 COD Points. This is called "consumer-friendly." Previously it was called "paying twice."
Leaked artwork shows BlackCell Season 4 BO7 running a black-and-gold jewelry theme: not the space-tactical aesthetic of prior seasons but something closer to pirate loot. Given that Fortune's Keep is returning to Warzone the same day, this is either deliberate synergy or a coincidence Activision will retroactively claim was intentional.
Season 3's BlackCell featured the Valkyrie operator set: three sisters, neural-linked targeting suites, winged armor, the whole mythology department working overtime. Season 4 appears to follow the same three-operator structure for BlackCell, though official confirmation arrives with the battle pass blog. Based on prior seasons, expect an exclusive Mastercraft blueprint, tracers, Death FX, a clan tag, and a HUD theme nobody will ever look at after day two.
Do not burn Battle Pass Tokens on cosmetics before unlocking the new weapons. This is how you fall behind in Week 1 ranked. You will regret it. Someone else will not.
The confirmed multiplayer map for Season 4 launch is Vertigo remaster Black Ops 7: a Black Ops 2 map set on a skyscraper helipad that has apparently been sitting in the game files, visible out-of-bounds from other maps, for months. Treyarch saw no reason to rush. The remaster updates the aircraft from dated to graphically current, aligns the aesthetic with BO7's Guild-tech visual language, and places the combat in the helipad section where the futuristic plane sits.
Additional remastered maps in the pipeline include Launch (Black Ops 1), Dig (Black Ops 2), Frequency, and Arsenal. Not all arrive Season 4. Expect at least one more at the mid-season Reloaded update. Original maps also appear each season, though none have been named. At least one new original location is expected at launch.
Fortune's Keep Warzone Season 4 is confirmed. Raven Software prepared an updated version during the BO7 cycle and has been holding it like a hostage since. The map originally launched during Vanguard Season 4 in 2022, became the preferred Resurgence option for players who enjoy being punished from every vertical angle, and has been absent long enough that people started asking nicely.
Fortune's Keep rewards aggressive rotation and punishes anyone who attempts to ego-challenge the Castle without armor plates. Rooftops provide information, not invincibility. Grapples change the threat axis: positions that were safe behind ladders are no longer safe behind anything. Rotate before gas forces the issue. Do not cross open lanes without smoke. This is not a suggestion.
The AN-94 Black Ops 7 return was confirmed by Treyarch without being officially announced: it appears in Rook's hands in the Season 4 cinematic, which is either intentional teasing or props department negligence. The AN-94 is a burst-fire assault rifle from Black Ops 2 known for its unusual hyperburst mechanic and consistent mid-range dominance when used correctly. It will likely be tied to the Battle Pass.
Season 4 is also expected to add a new SMG visible in the Warzone key art: unnamed as of this writing: plus additional weapons distributed across battle pass tiers and challenge unlocks. Prepare XP tokens before launch. Level weapons the moment they become available. Week one is where prepared players establish the gap.
Treyarch confirmed two more Zombies maps remain planned for Black Ops 7. Neither arrives at Season 4 launch. A new round-based map is expected in the Season 4 Reloaded mid-season update, consistent with every prior season's delivery structure. Leaks from March 2025 referenced an ancient Japanese temple at the foot of an erupting volcano as a future setting: which fits the three remaining unaccounted locations from earlier file leaks. New Perk-a-Colas Widow's Wine and Cherry Fizz are expected to appear.
BO7 Season 4 operators will enter a Ranked Play environment receiving a meaningful overhaul. Skill Rating tracking is getting clearer SR visibility: meaning players will finally understand why they are stuck and stop blaming ping. Changes to Endgame mode are also locked in per DETONATED's leak, though specifics remain vague enough to be true of almost anything.

$29.99 for exclusive operator, 20 tier skips, Mastercraft blueprint, and 1,100 COD Points returned. Worth it if you would have bought points anyway.
A Guild augmented soldier, Season 4's Tier 1 and Tier 100 battle pass operator. Not Prophet. Different person entirely.
Yes. Black Ops 2 map, remastered to match BO7 visuals. Confirmed by Treyarch's own post before the roadmap dropped.
Rook wields it in the Season 4 cinematic. Battle Pass weapon unlock is the standard delivery method.
