BO7 Season 3 Reloaded: Every Free Skin, Camo & Blueprint
Season 4 is live June 4. Vertigo, returning maps, new weapons, Zombies volcano temple, Widow's Wine, Cherry Fizz.
The Black Ops 7 Season 4 roadmap drops on June 4, 2026: give or take Activision's usual habit of announcing "surprises" the night before. Season 3 wrapped every planned piece of content across all game modes, which means the usual two-week content vacuum is fully in effect. Enjoy the silence. It won't last.
Historically, Season 4 is where COD goes from "playable" to "they're clearly running out of ideas before the next game drops." Black Ops 6's fourth season was so dry it constituted a public health emergency. Treyarch knows this reputation and presumably doesn't want to repeat it: at least not with two full seasons left before Modern Warfare 4 devours everyone's attention.
Official blog post and roadmap are expected around May 27–28. If Treyarch misses that window, assume internal chaos or a very large EA announcement stealing the calendar.
The in-game Battle Pass timer is the only honest employee at Activision. It currently points to June 4, 2026 as the Season 4 start date, consistent with the roughly nine-week cadence BO7 has maintained so far: a scheduling discipline the franchise last exhibited sometime around the Obama administration.

Treyarch confirmed two returning maps during the Season 3 dev talk, because apparently the future involves recycling the past at full price. The two candidates are Frequency (Black Ops 4, beloved by anyone with functioning taste) and Arsenal (also BO4, remembered mostly for the Arsenal Sandstorm incident where the community voted with its feet so hard the map got quietly removed from rotation).
The smart money is on Frequency. BO7's wall-jump movement system fits Frequency's verticality far better than Arsenal's rigid lane structure, and Treyarch seems aware that shipping Arsenal again would be a PR event nobody wants to write about.
Additionally, Vertigo has been visible out-of-bounds from both Express and Gridlock: the game's way of leaving a Post-it note saying "yes, we know, it's coming." It was confirmed in person at the BO7 COD Next event months before launch. The wait has been inexplicably long for a map that was apparently finished before the base game shipped.
The Black Ops 7 Season 4 maps are expected to include at least one brand-new original location alongside the remasters. Original maps have appeared in every prior season. There is no confirmed name yet, which will not stop anyone from speculating.
Based on leaked weapon codename lists published before Activision's legal team started sending letters, Black Ops 7 Season 4 weapons will likely include two to three new weapons in the Battle Pass with additional unlocks spread across challenge events. The AN-94 from Black Ops 2 has been rumored by leaker Crash: though "rumored by a leaker" is a confidence tier roughly equivalent to "a guy at the gym mentioned it."
At least one weapon per class should still be incoming before BO7's lifecycle ends. Season 4 and 5 are the last realistic windows. Plan accordingly.
Unless Black Ops Royale has been silently dying in a data center somewhere, BO7 Warzone Season 4 will expand the mode that spent Season 3 suspiciously quiet. The going theory is that the team needed the extra season to add camel support, additional operator missions, and map expansions: the kind of update that takes six months and launches to a changelog that lists "various bug fixes" in size-6 font.
A Fortune's Keep resurgence map refresh has been expected for some time and Season 4 is the latest plausible window. A third resurgence map in rotation would give players actual choice between fast-paced options, which would be genuinely useful and therefore slightly surprising coming from this franchise's live service team.
A mid-season crossover event pass is standard by this point: 1,100 COD Points for the premium track, operator skins, tracer blueprints, the usual. The Robocop event pass set the template. What the Season 4 IP will be is unconfirmed. Given the June–July window, something tied to a summer film release is the obvious bet.
Treyarch confirmed during a Season 3 developer segment that "pretty exciting changes" are coming to Endgame in Season 4: a statement specific enough to acknowledge the mode exists and vague enough to mean anything. Based on the previous two seasons, expect a new Act (Act III), a new operation, a guild strike, and a glitch fracture with free cosmetic rewards including operator skins and animated camos. None of this is officially confirmed for Season 4 specifically, but the pattern has held every major drop so far.
This is the one people are actually here for. Black Ops 7 Zombies DLC 4 is set at a Japanese temple beside an erupting volcano, timed to Takeo Masaki's arc: a character explicitly described as a disgraced ronin from 1591 feudal Japan. The lore pipeline has been building toward this since the Totenreich ending, which referenced a "place of fire" as the next destination. Subtle.
The map is confirmed to still be on track per insider Ghost of Hope, before said insider stopped leaking following Activision's continued enthusiasm for litigation. It was not cut like New York was. Consider that the floor, not the ceiling.
The Widow's Wine BO7 perk machine has been sitting in game files since December 2025. The augments are leaked. The machine model is leaked. Treyarch is apparently waiting for the thematically appropriate moment, which a Japanese temple map: with its cave systems and potential "drink something ominous in the dark" energy: arguably provides. If it doesn't arrive here, it arrives never, and someone at Treyarch will have to answer for it at the next creator call.

Survival maps are smaller, quest-free zones. Don't expect an Easter egg. Expect a mystery box, a Pack-a-Punch, and an hour of your life you'll spend productively.
The Cherry Fizz camo from Black Ops 3 was confirmed in the Season 3 dev talk as coming to BO7. No confirmed delivery method. Candidates include: event pass free track, standalone challenge event, weekly challenge reward, or a max prestige unlock on a specific weapon. It's a summer camo. It will arrive in the summer. This is the full extent of what is known, and also somehow the most information anyone has been able to extract from Treyarch on this topic in two months.
Beyond Cherry Fizz, the mid-season event pass will likely follow the Robocop template: free track with unlocks, premium track at 1,100 COD Points featuring operator skins and tracer blueprints. The crossover IP is unconfirmed.
Season 4 is where the Modern Warfare 4 reveal marketing machine starts its engine. The Xbox Games Showcase lands June 7: three days after Season 4 launches: making a reveal or at minimum a teaser trailer plausible. During the BO7 lifecycle, pre-order bonuses for MW4 will almost certainly appear inside BO7 and Warzone, likely cosmetic content (camos, blueprints) to give the audience a reason to care before the next game is in their hands.
Activision has taken legal action against major data miners since BO6, which means the leak ecosystem for MW4 is considerably thinner than it was a year ago. Expect in-game Easter eggs rather than Twitter leaks to carry most of the marketing weight in the early going.
Season 4 is Treyarch's last major showcase window before marketing gravity shifts to MW4. They are aware of this. The incentive to ship something memorable rather than something adequate is, for once, non-zero.

June 4, 2026 at 9AM PT, per the current in-game Battle Pass timer: subject to the usual caveat of "unless something breaks."
Vertigo is effectively confirmed via out-of-bounds visibility. Frequency or Arsenal returns per dev talk, plus likely new originals.
No. The feudal Japan volcano map arrives at Season 4 Reloaded, estimated early July 2026, same as every prior round-based map this cycle.
Files have been in the game since December 2025. The volcano map is the most thematically logical moment. Still unconfirmed officially.
The Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 is the most realistic single window. Pre-order bonuses in BO7 will follow whenever the reveal happens.
