Black Ops 7 Season 4: Every Map, Weapon & Mode Explained

Black Ops 7 Season 4 multiplayer maps arrive in two waves. Three at launch, two more mid-season: because Treyarch knows you need a reason to keep the subscription running.

Map

Type

Premise

Available

Liminal

6v6 / 2v2

An unstable mind reshapes the layout mid-match. A gimmick until it isn't.

Launch

Primetime

6v6

Japanese game show. Jump pads, launch zones, and the dignity you left at the door.

Launch

Vertigo

6v6

Classic BO2 map, fully remastered. The nostalgia is doing heavy lifting here.

Launch

Zenith

6v6

Trap map. Navigate carefully. Or don't.

Mid-Season

Launch

6v6

The rocket map is back. Remastered. You know where the snipers are.

Mid-Season

The Vertigo remastered BO7 version keeps the original layout intact: Japanese rooftop theme, new Guild aesthetic layered on top. Veterans will remember every corner. That's the point.

Game Modes

Five modes drop this season. The standout is Black Ops Classic mode: no wall running, no Omni movement, no Overclock Abilities, no Perk Combat Specialty bonus. Just shooting people. Apparently this required its own dedicated mode in 2026.

  • Black Ops Classic: Boots on ground. TDM, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed. Movement mechanics stripped back to BO2-era fundamentals.
  • Blueprint Gun Game: No scorestreaks, no loadouts. Kill to advance. Lose a kill to go back. Pure skill, or whatever you have.
  • 6v6 Gunfight: Pre-set loadouts, no health regen, no respawns. An Overtime Flag spawns if nobody's dead. Consequences exist here.
  • Team Blueprint Sharpshooter: Everyone's weapon rotates simultaneously. Mid-Season
  • Knife Fight: Melee only. Self-explanatory. Terrifying. Mid-Season

Note: Classic mode still runs on BO7's engine. The map geometry, the audio, the animations: all modern. Only the movement rules are nerfed. Manage expectations accordingly.

New Attachments

Alongside the new weapons, four notable attachments expand existing guns: the kind that will immediately become mandatory in every meta loadout.

  • M10 Breacher: Argus Lever: Classic lever-action cycling. Satisfying. Slower. Pick your poison.
  • XR-3 Ion: Vulcan Minigun Kit: Turns a rifle into a spinning barrel monstrosity. CBRS-3 SMG Black Ops 7 players will hate whoever runs this. Probably getting nerfed.
  • DS20 Mirage: Dual Fire Kit: Adds a burst option alongside single-action. Situationally useful; mostly an excuse to re-use an old gun.
  • LTI Stentorian Brake & Velox 5.7 Carbine Chassis: Standard upgrades. The kind you slot in and forget.

Iron Rain Scorestreak

Cost: 825 Score. The Iron Rain scorestreak puts you in a high-altitude drone seat with a bird's-eye view of the map. You drop ordnance. People die from above. No dramatic flyover: just straight down, impersonal, efficient.

Two Overclocks available: Active Camo (the drone becomes harder to detect) or Tactical Radar Sonar (pings enemy positions for your team). One is selfish. One is altruistic. You will choose based on what kind of teammate you are.

Unlock it through the weekly challenge track: six completed challenges across any supported modes. Not the battle pass. You actually have to play.

Ranked Play: SR Overhaul

The BO7 ranked play SR system is rebuilt from scratch. Hidden MMR is gone. Every point gained or lost now has a written explanation in the post-match summary. A transparent breakdown of why you went up or down.

  • Minimum +20 SR guaranteed for a win, regardless of rank.
  • Scoreboard bonus on top: higher placement, better performance, bigger gain.
  • Opponent rank modifier: Beat higher-ranked players, earn more. Lose to lower-ranked players, lose more. As it should be.
  • Party size update: Crimson-rank players can now stack in parties of up to four. Previously locked out. Someone complained loudly enough.

Reality check: The system is more transparent, not more fair. You will still blame the matchmaking. It will still be partially correct.

Zombies

Rogue Run: New Permanent Mode

The new Rogue Run zombies mode is a roguelite layered over standard Zombies. You start with a pistol. You survive a wave. You pick one of three rewards from a pedestal. Then you do it again, harder, with whatever you picked.

Five different playlists with different boss types and objectives. Completing challenges grants permanent progression benefits: meaning unlike most of this game, there's actual long-term payoff. Wonder weapons appear at higher levels. Stronger enemies appear earlier than you'd like.

Nuked: Survival Map Launch

A hellish cul-de-sac set in a future version of Paradox Junction. Survival map, meaning: no Easter egg, no main quest. Mystery box, Pack-a-Punch, and progressively worse decisions. Completion challenges reward two new Weapon Camos, a Weapon Charm, and the "Crack in Space" REV-46 SMG Blueprint.

Kowakujo: Round-Based Map Mid-Season

Translated: "cursed castle." The Kowakujo zombies map is set inside Takeo Masaki's ancestral fortress, placed on an active volcano in the Dark Ether. Treyarch describes the Wonder Weapon as something "never experienced before": which either means genuinely novel or means they couldn't fit it into an existing category. New enemy types. Hellping Hound GobbleGum. More details arrive approximately one week before launch, which is mid-season.

Other Zombies Content

  • Totenreich Directed Mode: Main quest with assist mechanics enabled. For players who need help, or players who got lost the first time.
  • Totenreich Starting Room: Isolated starting area mode. Speedrunners and challenge hunters only.

Camos, Endgame & Battle Pass

Illicit Cargo: Camo Event

The Cherry Fizz camo BO7 debut arrives via the Illicit Cargo event: a set of remastered Black Ops 3 camos distributed through weapon class challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame. Some animated, some not. A Mastery Camo exists for completing all eight across all four modes. The grind is real and deliberate.

Endgame: Operation Wall Breaker

The Guild storyline continues. Karma's virus is ready; one Command Node is blocking deployment. You locate it, destroy it, defeat the Command Killer Glitch Boss. Earn skins, XP tokens, calling cards, weapon blueprints. Mid-season adds Act IV: Operation King Killer: the final Endgame chapter this season.

Battle Pass

Over 100 pieces of content. Two base weapons (KRS-7.62, CBRS-3) unlockable through pass progression. Headlining operator: Leon Rook, a Guild mercenary. Pass completion rewards the "Devastator" Ultra Skin for Rook and the "Archdevil" Legendary MK35 ISR AR Blueprint. BlackCell tier available separately, as always.

Operator Prestige

Season 4 introduces Operator Prestige to Endgame. Operators can now be upgraded beyond standard level caps for additional cosmetic rewards. It is the video game equivalent of polishing furniture you already own.
