ARC Raiders: Damage Leapers Trial Guide
The Nomadic Envoys have crawled underground in ARC Raiders 1.29.0. New trader Ermal is open for business in Speranza: but only for Level 25+ Raiders r
A new trader named Ermal has set up shop in Speranza. He is not here to be your friend. He is here to take your most valuable materials and give you things you probably need more than you think.
Key Requirement You must be Level 25 to access Ermal's trades. If you are not Level 25, close this guide, go back to looting lockers, and come back when you are ready to be taken seriously.
The Ermal trader location is inside Speranza, your underground hideout. He does not roam Topside. He does not spawn on the map. He is a vendor in your base, which means if you cannot find him, the problem is you, not him.
Navigate to the Traders section of Speranza. Ermal occupies a dedicated stall among the existing vendors. He stands apart from Lance (medical), Apollo (gadgets), Tian Wen (weapons), Celeste (materials), and Shani (security): this is a new lane entirely.
NOTICE: Ermal's stock resets weekly. Miss this week's offerings and they are gone until they rotate back. Embark has not published a fixed schedule for what returns when. Plan accordingly.
Ermal deals exclusively in ARC Raiders barter items: meaning you trade materials and rare weapons for rewards, not coins. The currency here is the junk you dragged off destroyed ARC units and refused to sell. It finally has a use.
His inventory is split into two categories: permanent offerings that are always available, and weekly rotating trades that reset and will cause you genuine grief if you sleep on them.

Yes, Rubber Ducks. Do not ask questions. Just trade them. |
Week one launched with one ARC Raiders stash expansion slot and 5 Expedition Vault spaces. Embark explicitly stated this is limited to gather feedback before they add more inventory. Read: they are watching whether you complain about prices before they commit to anything.

To make the most of ARC materials Speranza trade, you need to understand what Ermal actually wants. He is not impressed by basic recyclables you were going to sell for pocket change. He wants the good stuff.
Items that should be your lowest priority: basic Recyclables, common crafting junk like Oil, Duct Tape, and Volcanic Rock. Trade those only when specific deals demand them: or when Ermal inexplicably asks for Rubber Ducks.
The Expedition Vault ARC Raiders feature is the real reason to care about Ermal. For context: when your Raider completes an Expedition and resets, you lose your accumulated weapons, mods, and gear. Everything in your stash is evaluated for permanent bonuses, then your character resets.
The Expedition Vault breaks that rule. Up to 5 items placed in the vault survive the Expedition and come back with your next Raider. This is not a minor convenience. It is the difference between resetting naked and resetting with your best weapon already in hand.
Priority Order for Vault Slots 1. Highest-value weapon you own: preferably something you paid dearly for or crafted from rare blueprints.
2. Purple or higher weapon mods that took multiple runs to assemble.
3. Rare gadgets with cheap crafting replacements (so you get the item without crafting it again).
4-5. Whatever you consider most painful to re-acquire from scratch.
The stash expansion Ermal offers also resets post-Expedition: so it is a temporary buffer, not a permanent upgrade. Use the extra slots aggressively before your Raider departs. Dead storage is wasted storage.
The ARC Raiders weekly rotation system works similarly to Xur from Destiny 2: a comparison Embark definitely did not invite but which is accurate. Ermal refreshes his stock on a weekly cycle, liaises with fellow Nomads, and returns with something different. Items you miss can theoretically return in a later week. Theoretically.
Embark stated they will adjust prices and expand inventory based on early feedback. The first week's limited selection (one stash expansion, 5 vault spaces) was explicitly a controlled rollout. Expect more options as the system matures: and expect prices to follow.
Since Ermal is behind a ARC Raiders Level 25 trader gate, players not yet at that threshold need a direct path. No fluff here: this is what moves XP:

He is in the Traders area of your underground base, accessible from Level 25 onward. He does not appear on Topside maps.
No. Stash expansions purchased from Ermal reset when your Raider completes an Expedition. Buy them to use immediately, not to bank.
Up to 5 items. Those 5 slots survive your Expedition reset and carry over to your next Raider. Choose very carefully.
The blueprint may appear in his weekly rotation. The weapon itself drops from containers on Topside maps. No guaranteed source exists.
Embark says missed items may return in future rotations. No schedule has been confirmed. Assume nothing and check weekly.
