WoW Patch 12.0.7 Revelations Release date & Overview

Patch 12.0.7: officially titled Midnight: Revelations: is currently on the PTR and expected to go live the week of June 16, 2026. It is a mid-cycle patch, which in Blizzard's current vocabulary means "more content than you were probably expecting, still smaller than a .1." The WoW Midnight patch 12.0.7 continues a roadmap that promised single-boss raids at every X.0.7 interval. Blizzard delivered.

Sporefall Raid & Rotmire

Situated inside Harandar, the Sporefall raid Midnight pits you against one boss: Rotmire, a fungal giant who would benefit from a serious conversation about personal space and spore management. Rotmire cycles Awaken Fungi, spawning add types called Shroomlings and Funglings, then detonates everything with Fungal Bloom at full energy. On Mythic, corpses that get too close to the wrong add type create Doom Shrooms. Doom Shrooms are exactly what they sound like.

Mythic Flex This is the first WoW raid where Mythic scales between 15 and 25 players. Blizzard is testing whether "you need exactly 20 warm bodies or your progression night dies" is still a good policy in 2026. Jury is out.

Loot from Sporefall is currently labeled "Sporefused": gear that carries a higher base item level without requiring further upgrades, pushing ceilings to item level 298. That matters for anyone who has been bouncing off the Voidcore grind. Completing the introductory quest Sporefall: Rotmire rewards a Void-Twisted Sporbit, convertible to one Nebulous Voidcore: so the bonus-roll economy is directly fed by the new raid.

Omnium Folio & Runes

The Omnium Folio is the new gear upgrade system WoW 12.0.7 that does not actually occupy a gear slot: which is exactly the kind of sentence that used to be called "a promised feature" before it became standard design. Magister Umbric and Grand Magister Rommath have awoken the Sunstrider Omnium, an ancient elven relic built by Dath'remar to catalog schools of magic. It has reawakened at the least convenient possible time, as is tradition.

Once unlocked, the Omnium Folio grants access to Runes, which can be imbued and customized via weekly activities. They function as passive power additions: the sort of thing that will feel mandatory four weeks after launch and completely invisible before that.

Patch 12.0.7 introduces two new Void worlds accessed through a single rotating portal in Voidstorm. The portal switches destinations every few days, which means if you need a specific world boss kill, the game will ensure it is not your week. This is not a bug.

Naigtal

A fungal, arcane-rich world now occupied by the Hal'hadar, an insidious ethereal faction. Its aesthetics share DNA with Harandar and Zangarmarsh: think glowing spores, arcane contamination, and the distinct sense that the previous tenants left in a hurry. The thematic overlap with Sporefall is deliberate: Naigtal feeds into the raid's lore, and Nexus-Captain Leth'ir serves as the zone's world boss and gatekeeper for the Heroic World Tier unlock.

Val

An icy wasteland formerly occupied by the Burning Legion, now claimed by the Domanaar under Imperator Pertinax. He has built a bastion of power here, which is the sort of ambition that never ends well for imperiators in this game. Both zones feature world quests, rare spawns, events, and rotating zone bosses accessible only while the portal points your direction.

Heroic World Tier Defeat Nexus-Captain Leth'ir as a group, then exit and re-enter via the Heroic tier entrance. Heroic World Tier adds difficulty and danger to both Naigtal and Val for players who feel the standard world content lacks sufficient opportunities to die.

Zul'jan Campaign

The story of Zul'jan storyline patch 12.0.7 picks up when the Haranir call all Elf and Troll factions to a diplomatic summit. Zul'jan, Amani Troll representative and grandson of Zul'jin, attends alongside his companion Kinduru. The summit does not go as planned: an ancient Amani mystery involving Zul'jin, Hexlord Malacrass, and an entity called Ula'tek pulls the two trolls in before anyone gets to finish their appetizers.

This storyline is labeled "Part 1 of The Curse of Ula'tek," which soft-confirms Patch 12.1's subject and likely points to Atal'Utek as its setting: an island that has been teleporting players away from it since launch. Blizzard built the hint directly into a loading screen. Subtlety has been retired.

Troll Lorewalking arrives alongside the campaign, featuring storylines around four tribes and empires: Darkspear, Drakkari, Gurubashi, and Zandalari. Loa Lorewalking is guided by Assistant Lorewalker Li Li. No lore crimes are committed in its delivery, for once.

Turbulent Timeways

Turbulent Timeways Dragonflight Timewalking returns for another rotation, this time with six Dragonflight-era dungeons added to the pool. The headline mount reward is Spawn of Vyranoth: a spiky, frost-themed dragonkin for players who want their mount to look like a bad mood with wings.

Completing the achievement Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV rewards Ta'readon's Mount Voucher, redeemable for one of four bronze Shadowlands covenant mounts. Collecting them all remains entirely optional and emotionally dangerous.

Egg Hatching with Jan'alai

Jan'alai, the Loa of Fire, has returned to Zul'Aman and apparently needs a babysitter. Players team up with Loa Speaker Brek to guide hatchlings safely out of their eggs and into a world that is actively on fire in multiple directions. Exact mechanics and rewards are still being finalized on the PTR: Blizzard noted "more information coming soon," which is PTR-speak for "we haven't broken it in an interesting enough way yet."

Darkspear Dash

What began as a community-organized charity run becomes an official Darkspear Dash micro-holiday WoW in Patch 12.0.7. Darkspear Dash runs June 27–28 and arrives with new rewards. It is the first official WoW Pride micro-holiday, which the game's creative team managed to frame around trolls, which is either inspired or hilarious: probably both.

UI Updates

The WoW 12.0.7 UI improvements in this patch represent one of the largest interface passes Midnight has seen. The Personal Resource Display (PRD) now allows size, spacing, padding, opacity, and visibility adjustments: health bar, resource bar, and class resource bar can be toggled independently. New PRD artwork ships alongside it, because the old one apparently offended someone.

• Damage Meters: lower minimum window size; shift-clicking a row now opens a persistent details window
• Damage Meter bars are color-coded by faction in PvP when "Show Class Colors" is active
• Boss Timeline: vertical orientation now supports left/right text positioning
• Raid frames: adjusted colors for gaining-threat and high-threat states

• Single Button Assistant: new toggle for spell alert glows on special procs
