Midnight’s first Delves Bonus Event activated at weekly reset! Run 5 delves for Champion gear, earn extra Undercoins, and level Valeera 25% faster thi
The servers have reset, the calendar has flipped, and Blizzard has graciously seen fit to reward your compulsive dungeon-crawling with a 25% bonus to things you were already grinding into dust. The first Delves Bonus Event of World of Warcraft: Midnight is now live as of the March 24, 2026 weekly reset, running until the next reset rolls around and kills your productivity all over again.
The buff in question is Sign of the Explorer: a passive, server-wide aura that sits silently in your buffs bar judging you for not running more Bountiful Delves. It does exactly three things, all of them delightful to the specific kind of person who has a spreadsheet for their weekly Undercoin income.
Active This Week:Sign of the Explorer: +25% Delver's Journey progress, +25% Valeera Sanguinar companion XP, +25% Undercoin gains. Duration: the full week, no action required. You are welcome.
The Delves Bonus Event inflates three specific Delve reward tracks by a flat 25%. It does not give you free gear. It does not carry you through Tier 8. It does not make Nullaeus politely excuse himself. What it does do:

Faster progress on the 42,000-point seasonal track. Still takes 70 days if you only run Tier 8 Bountifuls. The math remains unkind. |

Extra currency for Naleidea Rivergleam's shop. That Elven Arcane Guardian mount won't pay for itself, sadly. |

Alongside the passive buff, Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: who is having a week, clearly: offers the weekly quest A Call to Delves from Silvermoon City. His demands are reasonable only because the alternative is more M+.
Quest:A Call to Delves
Objective: Complete 5 Midnight Delves
Reward: 1 piece of Item Level 246 Champion 1/6 gear
Where: Find Archmage Aethas Sunreaver in Silvermoon City, or simply open the Adventure Guide and tab over to the Bonus Event section like a civilized person.
Any tier, any Delve, any difficulty counts. Yes, that means you can run five Tier 1 Delves and collect your ilvl 246 Champion piece while an actual raider watches in quiet, judgmental horror. No minimum tier is enforced. Blizzard respects your time so little that they have chosen not to gatekeep this particular indignity.
Your operational hub for all things Delve lives at the Delver's Headquarters in The Bazaar district of Silvermoon City, approximately /way 52.4 78.2. This is where you will find the following cast of characters who have dedicated their professional lives to facilitating your obsession with small instanced scenarios:

The Delver's Journey is Midnight Season 1's progression track for Delves. It runs Warband-wide, caps at 42,000 points, and rewards you with boons, blessings, vendor unlocks, and the slow creeping sensation that you have made certain lifestyle choices. The Sign of the Explorer buff this week means every source of Journey XP is 25% more efficient. Here is where that XP comes from:

To finish the full 42,000-point track at Tier 8 Bountiful clears alone, you would need approximately 280 runs, or 70 days of running four per day. With the event bonus, that number dips slightly, but not to the point where you should feel relieved. The Cipher Key weekly turn-in is your single most valuable XP source and you should be treating it like a religious obligation.
Inside Delves you will encounter two categories of temporary power that most players either ignore or stumble into:
Boons are obtained from Mislaid Curiosities: small bags scattered on the ground throughout Delves. They grant short-term stat buffs and can also contain companion XP, profession reagents, and consumables. The six Boons currently available in Midnight Season 1 are listed below, none of which require a spreadsheet to evaluate:
Blessings are obtained from the end-of-Delve chest. They last 24 hours or until you complete your next Delve, and only apply inside Delves. An example is Blessing of Zeal, which causes your harmful abilities to occasionally trigger an explosion that splits Fire damage between nearby enemies: which sounds impressive until you realize you are in a Tier 4 Delve and everything is already dead.
Rare Elites inside Delves are marked on your map with a special icon. Defeating them grants a persistent power buff for the rest of your current run. In Midnight Season 1, four such powers are available. You will not always see all of them, but the ones you encounter are worth the detour:
|
Rare Elite |
Power Granted |
Effect |
|
Clever Saptor |
Cleverer Girl |
Clever saptors occasionally ambush your foes during combat. |
|
Paingolin |
Pan-GO-lin Time |
Increases movement speed the longer you keep moving. Breaks on entering combat. |
|
Wailing Spirit |
Banshee Wail |
Occasionally unleash a banshee wail in combat, freezing nearby targets in fear. |

Nullaeus is the Season 1 Delve Nemesis. He lives in Torment's Rise and takes genuine pleasure in reminding you that your gear level is a suggestion, not a guarantee. At Tier 4 and above, his Pactsworn-prefixed allies begin appearing across all Delves as named trash mobs with elevated stats. Consider it mood-setting.
You can also summon Nullaeus outside his lair by purchasing the Beacon of Hope from Naleidea Rivergleam for 5,000 Undercoins. Reaching the delve checkpoint, clearing the area, activating the Beacon, and bringing him to 50% HP spawns a gold pile containing a Delver's Bounty. This is the approved method for extracting your weekly Nemesis loot without entering Torment's Rise, and it works exactly as well as it sounds.
For the achievement hunters among you: Let Me Solo Him: Nullaeus requires defeating him on the highest tier without party members before Season 2 begins. The first 4,000 players to accomplish this receive the title Fabled Vanquisher of Nullaeus via Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Nullaeus. For those keeping score, the race for that title began the moment Midnight went live. You are likely not in the top 4,000. That is between you and your latency.
Midnight launched on March 17, 2026 with most Delves accessible from day one. Two were held back for a phased rollout that Blizzard described as intentional and players described as annoying. The second of those, The Darkway, becomes available today: March 24: coinciding conveniently with the Bonus Event. Parhelion Plaza follows on March 31.

All active Delves are eligible for the Bonus Event bonuses. The Darkway in particular features three rotating story variants set inside the Arcway tunnels beneath Suramar, now occupied by Twilight Blade cultists who apparently received no memo that Suramar was, canonically, liberated. Each story variant rotates daily. Mousing over the map icon on your UI will reveal which variant is currently active, a feature that exists to save you from discovering the hard way.
You have a 25% windfall. Spend it wisely. Or don't. We are not your accountant.
The primary use of the Undercoin influx during the Bonus Event is Naleidea Rivergleam's shop in the Delver's Headquarters. Notable purchases include:
Once you reach Delver's Journey Rank 5, a rotating trinket vendor named Zah'ran begins spawning at the end of Tier 6 and higher Delves. His stock refreshes on a five-day cycle. At Rank 9 he begins accepting Untainted Mana-Crystals from Tier 11 Bountiful Coffers in addition to Undercoins. This is the game telling you, gently but firmly, to keep running.
