WoW MoP Classic Holy Paladin Guide
Phase 5 of Mists of Pandaria Classic arrives Summer 2026. Siege of Orgrimmar, Timeless Isle, Legendary Cloaks, and Garrosh. This is the end. Make it c
Blizzard confirmed Siege of Orgrimmar for summer 2026 during the State of Azeroth broadcast on January 29. The Phase 5 PTR went live in April, with raid testing beginning April 24 and additional tests continuing into May. Current third-party estimates place the Siege of Orgrimmar release date around May 25, 2026, though Blizzard has not locked in an official date as of this writing. Pattern-watchers note the Joyous Journeys XP buff is active for approximately 7 weeks ahead of a phase drop, which aligns with the late-May window. Do not book a vacation that week.

SoO, Timeless Isle, Legendary Cloak finale |

Fourteen bosses across four wings. The entry point is on the eastern edge of the Vale, below the Mogu'shan Palace stairs. Alliance fly southeast from the Shrine of Seven Stars; Horde do the same from the Shrine of Two Moons. The raid introduces Flexible Raid difficulty MoP — the lowest difficulty tier in this version of the game, since Raid Finder was removed. Flexible scales from 10 to 25 players and has a completely separate weekly lockout from Normal, meaning you can clear both in a single reset for double the Tier 16 token chances. This is not a loophole. This is the design. Use it.
Important: The Kor'kron Juggernaut drops at 100% from Heroic Garrosh Hellscream while Siege of Orgrimmar is current-tier content. When Phase 5 ends and the tier cycle closes, it drops to roughly 1%. Clear Heroic Garrosh before the window shuts. This is the single most time-sensitive item in the expansion.

The Timeless Isle is a sandbox endgame zone east of the Jade Forest that has absolutely no daily quests and zero obligation to be efficient. It is almost offensive in how well-designed it is. Players collect Timeless Coins from rare spawns, treasures, and events, which can be exchanged for BoA gear tokens that outfit your alts at item level 496. Nothing on the isle has a timer, a reset gate, or a reason to feel bad about taking it slowly. This is the only time MoP's endgame asks nothing of you, so naturally it's where everyone will complain about not getting their rare mount fast enough.
Five Timeless Isle world bosses await. The four August Celestials — Chi-Ji, Niuzao, Xuen, and Yu'lon — drop Tier 16 tokens and are open to everyone. Then there is Ordos, a fire deity in eternal agony locked behind the Ordon Sanctuary. He is accessible only to players who have completed the Legendary Cloak questline on at least one character on their account. His loot is higher item level than the Celestials. This is Blizzard's way of calling legendary cloak holders "special" while also making them watch their guildmates without cloaks hover at the gate looking pitifully excited.
If you have been following Wrathion's questline since Phase 2 and have not fallen behind, Phase 5 is the finish line. The cloak questline concludes here, rewarding a spec-specific legendary at item level 600. Choose wisely, though the game makes it reasonably clear which option applies to you — unless you play a hybrid, in which case congratulations on your ongoing identity crisis.

Note: Completing the legendary on any character on your Battle.net account grants access to Ordos on all your characters. The cloak itself must be equipped to enter the Ordon Sanctuary. You cannot swap it out, stash it in the bank, and pretend you earned your way in. Ordos knows.
The Proving Grounds arrive in Phase 5 as a solo challenge scenario accessible from the Temple of the White Tiger in Kun-Lai Summit. Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Endless difficulties test DPS, tank, or healer performance against escalating waves of enemies in a controlled, no-excuse environment. There are no teammates to blame. This is by design. Players who claim their role competence will now be invited to prove it against a system with absolutely no opinion on guild drama. Silver difficulty will become a dungeon requirement in later patches of the original game. In MoP Classic, it remains optional, which is a gift, and you should use it anyway.
On the Timeless Isle, pet battlers will find the Celestial Tournament pet battle — a weekly scenario requiring you to defeat ten legendary trainers and four celestial pets without healing between battles. This means bringing a deep roster of strong pets built for specific counters, not just your three highest-level companions and a prayer. The reward is a choice of one of four legendary celestial pets per week: Xu-Fu, Chi-Chi, Zao, or Yu'la. None of them will carry you through raid. All of them are excellent. The Tournament is harder than it looks and more rewarding than it should be.
Phase 5 opens PvP Season 14, running on the Grievous gear track. There were originally two PvP seasons in Patch 5.4 of the original game, with Season 15 arriving in a later sub-patch. Celestial Arena and Deepwind Gorge were added to MoP Classic ahead of schedule in Phase 1, so the MoP Classic PvP season 14 experience arrives with a reasonably mature map pool. Grievous gear offers competitive item levels for those who prefer their progression to come with explicit social conflict rather than the implicit social conflict of raiding.
Tier 16 set pieces are not direct drops. Bosses drop class-category tokens — Protector, Vanquisher, or Conqueror — exchanged at the Tier 16 set bonus guide quartermaster near the raid entrance for your specific class item. Getting the 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses is the primary gear objective of Phase 5. These bonuses are meaningful power increases for virtually every spec. Getting them quickly on both Flexible and Normal lockouts each week is the optimal path. Getting them on your alt via the Timeless Isle BoA tokens first is also acceptable, as it proves a commitment to suffering shared equally across characters.
Flex + Normal separate lockouts. Flexible Raid difficulty and Normal difficulty have completely separate weekly resets in MoP Classic. This is not a rumor. Both can be cleared in a single week for double token drops. Plan your raid schedule accordingly or watch your more organized guildmates gear in half the time while you discuss the loot rules for the third consecutive hour.
