Here is a step-by-step guide to unlocking the right regions, finding your first corn and sugar cane, and setting up a flourishing agricultural base back home!

Step 1: Unlock the Foothills Region

Before you can start your farming adventure, you will need to move past the game's initial starting area.

• The Milestone: Challenge and defeat the Coastal Jungle Boss.
• The Reward: Besting this boss officially unlocks the beautiful Foothills region, which is where your agricultural journey truly begins!

Step 2: Locate the Ancient Farm

Once you arrive safely in the Foothills, open up your map and get ready for a little scouting trip:

• The Location: Travel toward the southwest (bottom-left) side of the map.
• Your Goal: Search the area for the Ancient Farm zone.
• Map Indicator: Don't worry about getting lost! As you draw close to the area, a specific resource icon will appear on your map and UI to let you know you are in the perfect place.

Step 3: Gather Your First Crops

When you reach the Ancient Farm, take your time exploring and keep a close eye out for these two primary resources:

• 🌽 Corn: Look carefully at the ground for green stalks. Because they are bright green against the natural dirt, they can sometimes blend into the grass, but they are scattered widely across this entire zone!
• 🪵 Sugar Cane: While you are exploring the farm grounds, make sure to step inside the stone ruins. Searching and looting the chests and containers hidden inside the structures is the most efficient way to stock up on sugar cane.

Step 4: Setting Up Your Home Farm

Relying entirely on wild foraging can be a bit tedious, so building a domestic farm at your base is the perfect way to secure a steady food and resource supply.

1. Collect Seeds: While harvesting wild crops or opening chests, you will occasionally acquire helpful crop seeds. Keep these safe in your inventory!
2. Gather Fertile Soil: Look for dirt mounds near the farm ruins. Mining these mounds will give you the Fertile Soil required for agriculture.
3. Build a Seedbed: Bring your Fertile Soil back to your home base to craft a cozy Seedbed. Now you can plant your seeds and watch them grow right outside your doorstep!
