The Cursed Swamps are typically located in the southern area of the map. It's a mysterious and spooky biome, but once you know where to look, gathering your powder can be a fun and rewarding adventure. You have two excellent options for collecting it!

Option 1: Friendly Combat (Guaranteed Drops!)

If you enjoy testing your combat skills against the local level 12 plague enemies, you are in luck:

• Plague Hunters & Plague Thralls: These enemies have a 100% guaranteed drop rate for Quagmire Powder! Quick Tip: They are quite weak to ranged weapons, so keeping your distance with a bow or gun is a brilliant and safe strategy.
• Plague Warriors & Plague Witches: These formidable foes are also great targets, offering a very generous 75% drop rate.

Option 2: Peaceful Scavenging

If you prefer a stealthier approach without as much fighting, you can go on a treasure hunt! Explore the points of interest scattered around the swamp:

• Check the chests inside ruined swamp settlements and priestess huts.
• Keep a special lookout for swamp crypt tablet houses—these locations are incredibly generous and can reward you with up to 11 units of powder in a single trip!

Crafting with Your New Resource

Once your pockets are nicely filled with Quagmire Powder, you can head over to your Large Smelting Furnace to craft your Mire Metal Ingots.

Unlocking Mire Metal is an amazing breakthrough for your base and character progression. With it, you'll be able to:

• Access the wonderful Enchanting Table unlock.
• Upgrade your Jeweler's Workbench for even better accessories.
