To upgrade from your starting gear, your next big destination is the beautiful (but challenging) Foothills biome.

Instead of searching the beginner beaches, you'll want to head into the hills and locate the local mines. Deep inside these caves, you will find rich iron ore deposits. The area can be a bit perilous, so pack some extra snacks and health supplies for the trip—it’s a fun challenge, and the reward is absolutely worth it!

Upgrading to a Tier 3 Workbench

Once you've safely brought your ore back home, your cozy base is going to need a little love. To process advanced metals, you will need to unlock and build the Tier 3 Workbench.

Upgrading your base is a wonderful way to future-proof your survival. Once your new workbench is placed, simply interact with it, scroll down to the very bottom of the crafting list, and you will see the ironware recipe waiting for you!
