SWTOR 7.9 Weapon Tier List: Best Weapons Ranked
Tech Fragments running dry? This guide covers every meaningful source in SWTOR: from lazy heroic dailies to Dread Fortress speed runs: ranked by...

Tech Fragments are SWTOR's primary endgame currency. They buy Legendary Implants, Tactical items, rare crafting materials, and cosmetics. They do not fall from the sky. You will grind for them, and this guide exists so you don't grind stupidly.
The currency has a wallet cap. Hit it and any fragments you earn go into a void. Spend before you cap: specifically on OEM-37 or RPM-13 modules at the Spoils of War Vendor on Fleet (Supplies Quadrant), which you can then flip on the GTN for credits. This is not optional advice. It is math.
OEM-37 and RPM-13 each cost 4,000 Tech Fragments at the Spoils of War Vendor. Don't sit on 40,000 fragments doing nothing.

The SWTOR tech fragments farming methods below are ordered by fragments-per-hour efficiency. Subscriber status matters here. F2P players are second-class citizens at endgame; this is a documented fact, not an opinion.
Story Mode Dread Fortress is the gold standard for fast tech fragment income. A single full clear yields 2,000 Tech Fragments. Three runs per hour is realistic, putting you at 6,000 fragments before considering any OEM/RPM monetization. Requires a subscription, three Level 80 characters, and a group. If you can't form one, beg in Fleet chat like everyone else.
3x Dread Fortress/hr = ~6,000 Tech Frags. Convert to OEM/RPM: ~10.8M credits/hr.
Each daily quest here rewards 100 Tech Fragments. Six quests per character, completable in under a minute each using stealth. The optimal route: pick up all quests in Voss City, quick-travel to the Gormak Worker Camp, complete everything in one sweep. Stack across six or more characters for meaningful returns. This is the best SWTOR endgame solo grind available to non-raiders.
Unlock requires completing Legacy of the Sith on each character. Yes, that is annoying. Do it anyway.
Completing your weekly personal Conquest goal pays 500 Tech Fragments per character, plus 200 Conquest Commendations (exchangeable 1:1 for more Tech Frags at the Spoils of War Vendor). If your guild hits its goal, add another 300–500 on top. This rewards you for simply playing the game, which is the least humiliating method available.
Conquest weekly: up to 1,200 Tech Frags per character. Repeatable across all alts.
The "[WEEKLY] Searching for Allies" quest: three random Flashpoints with no filters: pays 300 Tech Fragments, repeatable three times per character per week. Veteran mode bosses drop 60–90 fragments each. The daily Group Finder bonus for Veteran mode pays 120. If you need a method that lets you watch YouTube while playing, this is it.
The Warzone weekly (12 matches, wins count 3x) yields 1,500 Tech Fragments. Arena weekly grants Tech Frags plus Legendary Embers (300,000 credits each). Each weekly is repeatable three times per character per week. The catch: you must tolerate PvP. Some people cannot. Respect yourself accordingly.
The GSF weekly pays 850 Tech Fragments for four matches (wins count double). Queue times vary from acceptable to insulting depending on server population. It is genuinely the most efficient method for people who enjoy pretending to fly in space.
Every heroic or daily mission gives 30 Tech Fragments. These are the least glamorous method on the list and also the most universally available. The correct use of daily heroic missions is as filler while working toward your Conquest goal, not as a primary income source. If this is your main grind, the game is waiting to reward you for doing more.

If you are serious about SWTOR Tech Fragments weekly farming, follow a fixed priority stack. Improvising is how you end up doing heroics for three hours and earning less than a single operation.
Tech Fragments have a direct path to credit wealth that most players ignore. The SWTOR Spoils of War Vendor converts them into tradeable OEM-37 and RPM-13 modules at 4,000 fragments each. Those modules sell on the GTN for roughly 3.6 million credits per unit. Three Dread Fortress clears generate around 6,000 fragments: enough for one module with change, translating to approximately 3.6 million credits for an hour of raiding.
Legendary Embers, which drop from PvP weeklies, are worth 300,000 credits each on the GTN. Stack your weeklies and sell them all. This is not a secret. It is just the economy, described plainly.
SWTOR solo tech fragments farming is possible but slower by design. The game is structured to reward group content. That said, Voss dailies on multiple alts plus Conquest plus GSF weeklies can produce a respectable haul without ever touching an Operation or Warzone.
The key multiplier is alts. Every character is a separate weekly reset. Three characters doing Conquest and Voss dailies produces more fragments than one character doing operations twice a week. This is the solo player's revenge: sheer volume of resets.
Alt army strategy: run Conquest + Voss dailies on 6+ chars. Total potential: 6,600+ frags/week before Flashpoints or PvP.

Story Mode Dread Fortress. Three clears per hour, 2,000 fragments each. Requires a sub and group.
Yes, but slower. Conquest, Voss dailies, GSF, and PvP weeklies are all available without a subscription.
Legendary Implants first. They provide the biggest stat gain. Then Tacticals. OEM/RPM only after that.
There is a wallet cap, not a weekly earn cap. Keep spending before you hit it or you lose fragments.
Buy OEM-37 or RPM-13 (4,000 frags each) at Spoils of War Vendor, then sell on GTN for ~3.6M credits.
