Warframe Prime Parts Farming Guide: Relics & Fissures

Prime Warframes and weapons are the gilded, marginally superior versions of base gear. Better stats, better looks, and a build cost measured in your remaining free time. The Warframe Prime farming loop is simple in concept: crack Void Relics in Void Fissure missions, collect 10 Reactant from Corrupted enemies, and pray to whatever deity oversees drop tables.

Each relic contains six possible rewards: Common, Uncommon, or Rare. The part you need is always Rare. This is not a coincidence.

Reality check: A full Prime set requires blueprints spread across multiple relic tiers. You will farm all four tiers. You will get duplicates. You will question your choices.

Relic Tiers and Where to Get Them

Relics come in four tiers, each tied to a mission difficulty band. Before running a single Void Fissure mission, know which tier you need: otherwise you're just burning relics for the aesthetic.

For Lith relic farming, Hepit is so fast that losing a run hurts less than finding out it dropped Aya instead. Accept this.

How to Actually Open a Relic

1. Open Navigation, find an active Void Fissure matching your relic's tier.
2. Select your relic at the mission start screen.
3. Kill Corrupted enemies until you have 10 Reactant.
4. Complete the mission objective.
5. At end screen, pick your reward: or steal a teammate's if it's better.

The squadmate reward system is the one genuinely clever mechanic here. In a group of four all running the same relic, you effectively see four rolls and pick the best. This is called a Radshare: everyone refines their relic to Radiant using Void Traces, maximizing rare drop chances, then shares results. Don't farm Axi relics solo unless you enjoy suffering on principle.

Void Traces farming is the meta-layer nobody warns you about. Traces drop from Reactant collection during Fissure missions: 6 to 30 per run. You spend them at the Void Relic Refinement station to upgrade relics from Intact to Exceptional, Flawless, or Radiant.

Radiant doubles your raw rare chance versus Intact. Combined with four-person Radshares, your effective rare pull rate climbs to around 57%. Still not guaranteed. Still humiliating.

Your Trace cap scales with Mastery Rank. Hit the cap and excess Traces vanish. Plan accordingly or donate them to the void.

Vaulted Primes and Varzia

Some Primes are Prime Vault Warframe residents: their relics no longer drop in standard missions. Their parts become expensive on the trade market because scarcity is a universal language. The fix is Varzia, a vendor in Maroo's Bazaar on Mars.

• Aya: farmable in-game from Void missions and Bounties. Buys vaulted relics.
• Regal Aya: real money. Buys the full Prime set directly. Digital Extremes thanks you.

Rotations update periodically. Check before farming: nothing worse than grinding for a frame that isn't available yet.

Selling Duplicates for Platinum

You will get duplicates. Lots of them. This is the game's way of giving you something to do with a trade chat that never sleeps. Warframe.market is the fastest way to price your junk accurately: check sold listings, not asking prices.

The practical loop: farm relics, crack them, sell duplicate Prime parts for Platinum, buy the exact parts you need from other players. This is arguably faster than farming for specific drops. It is certainly less demoralizing, which may be the same thing.

Trade tax: You need both Platinum and Credits for trades. Running out of Credits while sitting on 500p is a uniquely Warframe experience.

Alternative Relic Sources

Syndicate relic packs let you convert Standing into packs of 3 relics for 20,000 Standing each. Teshin in any Relay sells them for 15 Steel Essence, capped at 25 packs per week: a meaningful top-up if you're running Steel Path anyway. Endless Fissure missions also grant pre-refined relics on rotation milestones: Exceptional at the 5th rotation, Flawless at the 10th, Radiant thereafter. This is the endgame player's relic funnel.

What Frame to Bring

Speed matters more than damage in most Warframe relic run scenarios. Fast missions mean more runs per hour.

• Volt: Speed ability makes capture nodes trivial. The Hepit mascot.
• Gauss: Faster than Volt with a better argument for why.
• Saryn / Mesa / Wisp: For endless missions where enemies need to cease existing immediately.
• Rhino: Newbie-proof. Iron Skin means you don't die before collecting Reactant.

Bringing a frame that can't survive level 30 Corrupted enemies to a Void Fissure is a valid choice. Just know what you're doing.
