Valorant 13.00 Tier List: Agents, Weapons & Maps Ranked
The Division 2 Expertise Surge is live. Exotic components doubled from dismantles, DZ vendor, and caches. Max your gear expertise before the window cl
The Division 2 Expertise Surge event is a limited-time multiplier that doubles exotic components from every source in the game. Dismantling exotics, buying Dark Zone vendor caches, opening global event caches: all of it yields twice the output. It exists because hitting Expertise Level 30 on your gear without it would require a number of weekend sessions your social life cannot absorb.
Prototype blocks do not double. Field Intelligence resources and Gunner Watch materials do double. Read slowly.
This is not a damage event, not a story event, not an excuse to run PvP and pretend the anti-cheat works. It is a material farming window. Treat it accordingly.

The exotic component farming Division 2 loop during Surge is straightforward: collect junk exotics all week, dismantle in bulk while the event is live, never dismantle outside of it unless you enjoy suffering quietly.
Run Countdown. Set targeted loot Countdown to a weapon type (assault rifles, SMGs). Collect exotic caches from bosses and Countdown Credits from the vendor outside the Base of Operations. Buy more caches. Repeat. It generates Proficiency XP and exotic components simultaneously, which is the only reason it sits at the top of every list including this one.
Every Heroic Retaliation clear guarantees an exotic cache. Faster per run than Countdown if you know what you're doing. Slower if you don't. Also works toward reconstructed caches and named blueprints, making it the most efficient single activity in the 2026 meta for players who can execute it.
The Dark Zone vendor exotic cache at DZ South sells a container that normally yields four components. During the Surge event it gives eight. Spend everything. The vendor resets weekly. There is no reason to save DZ currency when you are sitting on a 2x multiplier.
Landmark Chests in the Balanced Dark Zone also have increased exotic component drop rates since the "Into The Dark" season patch. Hunters in the Toxic DZ guarantee one exotic component on kill. Your chosen Dark Zone variant matters more than it did before.
Free exotic cache on a weekly timer. Donate standard materials, receive a cache. Takes three minutes. No reason to skip it, ever, in any week, event or not.
Level 3 and 4 control point supply room chests have a chance to drop components. Priority Objectives give quick exotic drop chances. Neither is primary farming: both are ambient income you collect while doing everything else.
While you are farming, these are worth checking. Some are for your build, most are for your Division 2 gear expertise library.

The Tuning Kart from DZ South gives +1 skill tier. If you run any skill build and do not buy it, that is a personal decision the author refuses to understand.
Expertise Level 30 Division 2 gives weapons up to +30% bonus damage and adds base armor to every gear slot. It is the largest power gap in the current 2026 meta. Every piece of gear requires roughly 90 exotic components to fully expertise. Multiply that by a full loadout and understand why there is an event dedicated entirely to acquiring these components faster.
April 2026 brought a 50% reduction in exotic component costs across the board. That reduction is already baked in. The Surge event doubles your yield on top of that reduced cost. There has never been a cheaper time to push Expertise and there may not be again before Prototype Gear becomes a baseline requirement.
Do not push past Expertise 12 aggressively before you have a stable farming rhythm. Levels 1–12 are cheap. 12–30 drains components fast. Get your Countdown loop running first.
Rotate your skills and weapons constantly. Nothing sitting at zero proficiency is acceptable during a Surge week. Every slot that isn't leveling is time wasted.
District Union Stadium. Go do it or don't. The loot is there either way.
The Escalation mission rewards Division 2 now grant +1 exotic component per tier starting at Tier 5. That stacks with the Surge doubling. Farm Escalations this week.
The Division 2 Recon Task weekly requires: complete open-world activities against enemies, transfer items at Georgetown Safehouse (likely the DZ West shelter or the vendor near the main entrance), and complete an extraction in any Dark Zone. Georgetown Safehouse location is unconfirmed in community: try the DZ West shelter first, then the main entrance merchant.
Holster prototype and SMG prototype available from Escalation containers. Take both for your library.
The promised Division 2 anti-cheat update appears to have been aimed at the wrong game. Conflict has not improved. Cheaters have expanded their territory into PvE Dark Zones. When honest players do show up, balance in Conflict has marginally stabilized: the six-battery Gunner corselet with 2M armor is now rare in Conflict rather than mandatory. That is the extent of the good news.
Delta errors returned to their baseline frequency after server maintenance fixed the infrastructure issue. An Imunka passive modifier bug with Medkits was introduced in the same patch. It is known, it is being fixed, there is no timeline. Adjust your build accordingly or file your complaints in the expected location.

Yes. A cache normally giving 4 components gives 8 during the Surge. Spend your DZ currency now.
No. Prototype blocks are unaffected. Only exotic components and Expertise-related materials double.
Roughly 90 per gear piece after April 2026's 50% cost reduction. Budget accordingly before upgrading aggressively.
Heroic Retaliation for guaranteed exotic caches. Countdown for passive, consistent volume and vendor purchases.
Community believes it is the DZ West shelter. Try the main entrance merchant as a second option. Unconfirmed.
