Scavs stopped listening to Fence. They split into gangs, raided Jaeger's bolty stashes, and hauled everything to Woods. Now they shoot everyone, including each other. Fence, predictably, declared open season on his own people. Classic Fence.
This is a limited-time Tarkov event built around the Wild Wild Woods quest from Jaeger. Your job: collect 12 Silver Badges, extracted in-raid, and hand them over. The I Am the Law achievement is the only thing you'll have left after it ends.
Event window: June 25: June 29, 2026 (11:00 AM Moscow time hard stop).
Map: Woods. Nowhere else matters this week.

The Sawmill and Lumber Mill areas are now the densest combat and loot zones on the map. If you want Silver Badges, you want to be near Shturman at all times.

The Red Rebel barter alone makes this worth completing. Everything else is a bonus you'll probably ignore.
Inventory cap: 10 per raid
A 1x1 valuable. Weighs 0.1 kg. You need 12 total, extracted FIR. The 10-per-raid inventory cap means you need at least two runs to complete the quest. Plan accordingly. Don't try to stuff 12 into your rig on a single run like an idiot.
The item also has a pre-existing role in the Collector quest (1 needed FIR), and it's a reference to content creator SheriffEli. Touching trivia. Move on.

Two paths. Pick one based on your gear situation.
Shturman and his guards carry high-tier ammo during the event. Don't peek corners stupid.
If your Fence reputation is 6.0+, Scav bosses won't engage you on sight. Useful if you're running through Sawmill as a Scav without wanting a fight.
Optimal loop: Do Fence daily Scav tasks first (some reward badges directly or require bolt-actions / valuables in one raid). Then run PMC to kill Shturman. Two raids of 6-10 badges each. Hand over. Done.
The event has tanked Moonshine prices on the Flea Market. The Sawmill cabins are producing it in quantity, so don't bank on it for profit. The real value is in the boosted rare loot spawns: Marked Keys, Labs keycards, and valuables scattered across Woods in new locations.

Fence has added operational tasks for Scav players. Confirmed task types include: extracting with bolt-action rifles, collecting valuables before extraction, and eliminating Scavs using shotguns. Some of these directly reward Silver Badges or at minimum count toward Fence reputation, which you should be maintaining anyway.
If you prefer not to engage in Woods PvP as a PMC, the Scav route plus Fence dailies is a legitimate low-stress path to 12 badges. It's slower. You will die to a cowboy-hat Scav with a revolver at some point. Accept this.
