Escape from Tarkov Arena Cleanup Crew Factory Event Guide
Icebreaker is live. No insurance, PvE only, boss Wedge. Here's every viable loadout from S to F: weapons, ammo, armor: for patch 1.0.5 Boreas map.
The 1.0.5 recoil system inherited the ballistics overhaul from 1.0 release: armor penetration values were rebalanced, and previously meta weapons got hit. M1A is garbage now. High-pen ammo matters more than rate of fire in most of these engagements. This list reflects that reality.
Hey... Pss... Need a Weapon for Icebreaker? Use CRINGEBLOG promo, and we'll enhance you almost free. works for every offer at Boostmatch, not only at Tarkov ;-)
Each entry covers weapon, ammo, armor class, and verdict. No padding. If it's not here, it's not worth discussing on this map.

On the Boreas map Tarkov ammo meta, armor penetration decides everything. Wedge's crew runs Tier-5. Bring rounds that punch it or don't board. Class 6 armor shrugs high-pen ammo once or twice before it degrades: stack your magazine front-loaded with pen, filler in the back.

Magazine top-loading: run 5–8 high-pen rounds first, filler behind. First burst matters most in CQB. The Boreas crew does not give you time to finish a magazine gracefully.
This is the part where you have to make peace with losing something. Tarkov Icebreaker armor choices are a risk calculus, not a fashion decision. No insurance means no recovery. On the other hand, underprepared armor gets you killed in the first corridor.

Not every raid on the Boreas needs a 500k kit. Budget Tarkov loadouts for Icebreaker are valid when you're completing Boreas questline steps or mapping the ship. The 400k transit fee is already painful. Losing a 350k kit on top is a full therapy session.

HK 416A5 with M995 or the SIG SPEAR with AP ammo. Both dominate Wedge's crew in CQB conditions.
First visit: no. Learn the map cheap. After you know every corridor, commit the serious kit.
M995, AP 6.8mm, M62, or BP 5.45. Anything below 40 pen is gambling against Tier-5.
With PBP ammo in CQB corridors it's genuinely S-tier. Without PBP, it's an expensive waste of space.
Class 5 absolute minimum. Class 6 is the difference between surviving one hit and surviving two.
