15 June, 2026

BSG activated a Tarkov bonus XP event for the weekend of June 12, 2026. Every raid you survive: or die in: pays out 25% more experience than normal. It applies in both PvP and PvE modes. It is not stackable with your edition bonus; it replaces it. Your Edge of Darkness premium perk is sitting in the corner, irrelevant.
This is a flat buff. There is no activation step. No quest. No code to redeem. You log in and the bonus is already running. The EFT XP weekend event is about as turnkey as Tarkov gets, which is to say it still requires you to not get headeyeshot by a Scav in the first 40 seconds.
Event Window Active from June 12, 2026. Check the Steam page for the exact end timestamp: BSG does not believe in precise scheduling.
The Escape from Tarkov raid XP boost is applied server-side to every raid completion: survival, run-through, or death. You get 25% more on top of the base XP from kills, loot interactions, quest objectives, and extraction. Survival bonuses also get the 25% treatment.
Owners of "The Unheard" edition bring an additional 25% XP buff to every member of their party. During this event, that benefit still applies on top of the base event multiplier. If your friend paid the premium price and you squad up with them, you are financially riding on their back. They know. Everyone knows.

The Tarkov leveling weekend guide answer is the same as any other weekend: survive, do quests, loot efficiently. The 25% just makes your existing good habits 25% better. Your bad habits also scale.
Quest completions give significant XP on handoff. Chain them back-to-back. Every quest objective completed in-raid also ticks XP. Stacking objectives with kills and loot interaction is how you make the Tarkov XP farming method pay out during bonus windows.
Headshot kills against NPCs give 100% bonus XP per kill. That stacks multiplicatively with the event bonus. Scavs become walking XP dispensers if you aim. You probably won't. But the option is there.
Use Grizzly kits to heal in stash. You get medical XP and save roubles. Then spend those roubles on better ammo. Better ammo means more headshots. See above.
Icebreaker was everyone's pick during the May 29 bonus weekend: the map is dense with objectives and AI, which means high kill counts and fast quest tick-off. Community players were reporting 100,000+ XP raids with the 25% applied. The best map for Tarkov XP grinding depends on your quest tier, but Icebreaker, Customs, and Streets top the list for objective density.

No. BSG has been running EFT double XP weekend schedule events with increasing frequency in 2026: the May 29 weekend was the previous instance. The roadmap confirms special events every weekend as a stated goal. Do not treat this as rare. Do treat it as an excuse to grind quests you've been postponing.
The Tarkov prestige system XP requirements make these weekends genuinely useful for veterans pushing Prestige milestones. For new players grinding toward level 15 (Flea Market unlock, requiring 161,139 XP), the bonus shaves meaningful time off an already brutal early progression curve.
Theoretically: everyone. Practically: players who are online, alive, and completing objectives. If your typical raid ends in a bush-Scav headshot at 00:30, the Tarkov PMC level boost event gives you 25% more XP on the 12 XP you earned before dying. Congratulations.
The veterans pushing toward Prestige 2 have the most to gain in raw numbers. New players approaching the Flea Market unlock benefit in terms of wall-clock hours saved. Casual players benefit by feeling better about their weekend than they probably should.
Reminder Playing as a Scav generates zero PMC experience. You are not leveling up. You are running errands for a fictional crime boss. Different activity entirely.
Yes. Confirmed active in both PvP and PvE. BSG said so explicitly. No asterisks.
No. The event bonus replaces your edition XP perk for the duration. EOD owners break even.
Yes. Squad with an Unheard owner and your party receives their 25% bonus on top of the event.
No. Scav raids never give PMC XP. The event changes nothing about this fundamental rule.
Check the official Steam page. BSG publishes end times there, usually expressed in BST and EST.
