Legendary Marks in Destiny 2 are the primary currency introduced with Monument of Triumph. You earn them by completing Triumphs spread across the entire history of the game. You spend them at four Tenet vendors in the Tower Courtyard. That is the whole loop. Congratulations.
The vendors are named Tenets of Bravery, Devotion, Sacrifice, and Death. Bungie's naming department clearly went through something. Each vendor carries unique stock: shaders, Exotic ornaments, armor sets, emotes, finishers, weapon engrams, and more. Some rewards also require specific Triumphs on top of the Mark cost, because spending currency alone would be too easy.
Logging in at launch gives you 50 free Legendary Marks, 2 Bright Engrams, and the Toast to the Monument emblem. Collect them from Special Deliveries between Banshee-44 and Rahool. Don't leave those on the table.
The fastest path to farming Legendary Marks is finishing Triumphs in bulk. The game's full Triumph catalog is open. That means story, strikes, raids, dungeons, Crucible, Gambit, destination exploration, and everything in between all count. Pick what you can clear quickly and chain them.
Distorted Destinations Destiny 2 adds hourly patrol events to selected destinations. These events include Triumph-eligible encounters, harder enemies, and unique loot. Run them when they are active. They are not optional if you are optimizing.
No confirmed hard cap has been published by Bungie as of launch. Given the depth of the Triumph catalog, the practical ceiling is dictated by how many Triumphs remain in your account rather than an arbitrary wallet limit. Spend regularly on vendors rather than stockpiling, since uncapped currencies historically invite soft caps via diminishing sources.
The Power cap is NOT increasing. It stays at 550. Monument of Triumph does not change Power progression. Stop asking.

Dungeons are the sweet spot for solo boss encounters Destiny 2. They are designed with mechanics that do not require fireteam coordination to complete. Raids are not. Don't go into a raid solo expecting to progress Triumph objectives efficiently unless you have done it before and know the cheese.
Pantheon 2.0 launches with Adventure Difficulty for groups learning mechanics before committing to Standard or Custom runs. If your goal is Triumph completion, start on Adventure. The Marks still count.
The best loadout for solo bosses Monument of Triumph does not exist as a single answer because Armor 3.0 and the new Tier weapon upgrade system fundamentally changed stat interactions. That said, the principles have not changed: survivability over damage pace, consistent DPS over burst, and Exotic choices that patch your class's weaknesses.
Use DIM or the Destiny Companion App. The API remains fully supported. Inventory management without external tools in 2026 is a self-inflicted wound.
The Portal did not go anywhere. It was demoted. Where did the Portal go Destiny 2 is now answered by looking at the bottom of the Director screen. The Director returned as the primary activity hub with Update 9.7.0. Portal content moved to nodes at the bottom of the Director interface. Portal Ops remains accessible; it just no longer runs the show.
The Director now covers all destinations including Kepler and Lawless Frontier. Some playlists were merged or deprecated in the transition. If a specific activity is missing, check the Director nodes before assuming Bungie deleted it.
Here is what the Tenet vendors stock. Some items require both Marks and a prerequisite Triumph unlock.

Seasonal events are gone. Festival of the Lost, Solstice, Guardian Games, and The Dawning are permanently retired. Their weapon rewards were redistributed into Monument vendor engrams. The vendor engrams are endlessly purchasable, which is your new seasonal content replacement.
Chain easy Triumphs first: destinations, exploration, lost sectors. Then playlists. Save raids for last.
No confirmed hard cap. Practical limit is your remaining Triumph count. Spend regularly; don't hoard.
Survivability first. Use matching armor sets for bonuses, stack Weapons stat for Heavy uptime, save a dedicated DPS loadout.
Bottom of the Director screen. It still works; it just lost the main hub title to the Director.
