Destiny 2 Pantheon 2.0 Guide — Monument of Triumph

Pantheon 2.0 is part of Monument of Triumph, Destiny 2's final live-service update. Unlike its 2024 predecessor, it is now a permanent game mode — not a timed event you missed while touching grass. The activity is a raid boss gauntlet: you and your fireteam fight several iconic raid bosses back-to-back, each with escalating power handicaps and modifiers designed to remind you that your build is bad.

PERMANENT. Not seasonal. Not a limited window. No excuse to skip it anymore.

At launch, two activities are immediately available with a curated boss lineup each. The third activity — the full gauntlet — unlocks the first Saturday after June 9. Weekly rotators with individual bosses begin the following Tuesday at reset. Bungie structured the Pantheon 2.0 rollout schedule precisely so you cannot complete everything on day one. Deliberate cruelty dressed as pacing.

Boss Roster

Pantheon 2.0 features reprised raid bosses. Each boss encounter operates under its own power handicap, stacking higher as you progress through the gauntlet. The Destiny 2 Pantheon raid encounters confirmed for 2.0 include Atraks Sovereign, Oryx Exalted, Rhulk Indomitable, and Nezarec Sublime — enhanced, renamed versions of bosses veterans have already killed a hundred times, now politely asking for a rematch with extra modifiers.

Rewards

Completing a Pantheon boss encounter rewards three items: one Adept weapon (once per week, from the Bonus Timer), Spoils of Conquest, and a Trophy of Bravery. The Pantheon 2.0 loot pool has been updated alongside Monument of Triumph's broader loot overhaul — raid and dungeon weapons now have Tier parity, set bonuses, and new perks. Crafted raid weapons gain a Tier 1-5 upgrade path. In other words, the gear is finally worth farming again.

For exotic weapon farming, players must complete the Divine Weaponry quest. It is available from Arcite 99-40 in the Hall of Champions after finishing the gauntlet. Two quests exist, so choose carefully which raid exotic you want. Picking wrong and starting over is your problem, not Bungie's.

  • Per boss completion: Adept weapon (weekly) + Spoils of Conquest + Trophy of Bravery
  • Platinum score: Adept weapon (once per week, per boss)
  • Emblems: Atraks Dethroned, Exalted Beyond Oryx, Rhulk Subdued, Elevated Above Nezarec
  • Divine Weaponry quest: Raid Exotic weapon of choice
  • All triumphs: Godslayer title

Godslayer Title: 10 Triumphs

The Godslayer seal is Pantheon's bragging-rights currency. It consists of 10 triumphs split between completion triumphs and Platinum score triumphs. Platinum requires defeating each boss within the bonus timer. There is no tutorial. Kill it fast or do not kill it at all.

How to Access Pantheon 2.0

Open the Destinations tab in the refreshed Director — Bungie finally reversed the Portal after everyone made their displeasure known. The Into the Light icon is on the right-center of the Destinations screen. Select it. Do not ask your fireteam if they are ready. They are not. Go anyway.

Shot Caller modifier is active: landing multiple precision hits boosts damage. Precision builds are not optional, they are the answer to a question you did not know you were being asked.

Build Preparation

Each Pantheon activity uses a weekly Surge element — if your build is fighting the Surge, wait for the next weekly reset and relaunch. The power handicap scales from +5 at Atraks to +20 at Nezarec, meaning your effective power decreases as the gauntlet progresses. Monument of Triumph added new Aspects for Solar Hunter, Void Warlock, and Solar Titan, bringing all subclasses to equal aspect count. The sandbox is the most complete it has ever been at the end of the game's live service life. Spend five minutes in the character screen before complaining in chat.

  • Check the weekly Surge before committing to a loadout
  • Prioritize builds with consistent DPS over burst-only setups — the gauntlet is long
  • Anti-Champion mods are now artifact-based (Anti-Champion 2.0 overhaul in Monument of Triumph)
  • Crafted raid weapons now support a Tier upgrade path — invest in them if you plan to farm seriously

What Changed from Pantheon 1.0

The original Pantheon ran from April to June 2024 as a limited-time event. Pantheon 2.0 is permanent. The boss roster has been renamed and modified. The loot pool has been overhauled to match current Tier parity standards. Weekly rotators were added for sustained farming. The entire thing is now embedded as a structural pillar of the game in maintenance mode — meaning it will exist exactly as it ships today, indefinitely, with zero further changes. Do not expect Bungie to fix anything you dislike about it.
