Command Killer Glitch Fracture Guide
Black Ops 7 Endgame Season 4 Reloaded drops June 25 with Act IV: Operation King Killer, the final Glitch Fracture, Operator Prestige up to Combat...

The Black Ops 7 Endgame post-launch story is wrapping up with Season 4, a full season earlier than Black Ops 6 managed. Act IV arrives June 25 as part of the Season 4 Reloaded update. You get one final operation, one final Glitch Fracture, and a handful of new mechanics Treyarch clearly had sitting in a drawer. Enjoy it. MW4 is coming in October and nobody at Activision is pretending otherwise.
Release: June 25, 2026: 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST: all platforms simultaneously.
The free-to-play trial via Warzone continues through Season 5, ending sometime around early September. After that, you pay or you leave. Season 6 will be Halloween reskins and bundle pushes. That is not a prediction, it is a tradition.
The Guild storyline concludes here. Karma's virus is ready; one Command Node is blocking deployment. You locate it. You destroy it. You face the Command Killer Glitch Boss on Nightmare Difficulty across waves of enemies that exist specifically to waste your time. Completing this earns skins, XP tokens, calling cards, and weapon blueprints: the usual participation trophies.
This is also the final Glitch Fracture. If you haven't done the previous ones for your Nightmare Skill slots, now is your last obligatory window before the mode coasts on fumes into Season 5.
Act III required finding weaknesses in Guild's defensive line on Avalon. Act IV is the "we're done writing" version: go to Command Killer, win, roll credits.
The BO7 Operator Prestige system is Season 4's headline endgame addition. It is the video game equivalent of disassembling furniture you already own and reassembling it slightly better. Here is exactly what it costs you and what you get back.

Prestige 3 |

Base max is CR 66. Prestige 3 max is CR 88. The bar is not metaphorical.
Critical warning: Skill tracks are randomly assigned. You cannot choose which tracks your operator receives after each prestige. If you want a specific combination like Warband + Bulldozer + Eagle-Eye, you are at the mercy of an RNG system that does not care about your preferences. Do not prestige your best operator before finishing Act IV unless you enjoy self-inflicted suffering.

The new Guardian skill track arriving June 25 turns your operator into a frontline tank. It rewards being hit, staying near downed teammates, and generally absorbing punishment that other players are too precious to absorb themselves.

Payback |
Enemies that damage you receive damage in return. |

Battle Cash |
Killing enemies spawns ammo or armor resupply packs with increased probability. |

Picking up resupply packs also recharges equipment. |

Fortified |
Damage reduction scales with how many armor plates you currently have equipped. |
|
Iron Grip |
Reduces hipfire spread and flinch when taking damage. |
|
Rescue Pulse |
Revives downed allies and yourself by proximity: no interaction required. |
Rescue Pulse is lifted directly from Near-Death Experience in Zombies. Whether you call that inspiration or asset reuse depends on your current relationship with Treyarch. Fortified is the standout tier for nightmare content, scaling harder the more plates you maintain.
Unlocked by completing any 6 of the weekly challenges. High-damage minigun, high fire rate, large ammo pool, reduced movement speed. The Death Machine performs well against Nightmare Zone enemies including Dr. Faulner. Whether it replaces Crash Car or Ballistic Shell depends entirely on how good your lethal skill tracks are. Experiment or don't.
Explodes on impact and releases a hallucinogenic gas cloud that brain-rots Guild enemies. Functions identically to its multiplayer counterpart. It is a grenade that makes enemies confused. Temper your expectations accordingly.
The Possessed Convoy is a new Endgame activity added at Season 4 launch: destroy a Possessed Guild Convoy and eliminate the Zursa. It exists. Weapon adjustments included a 36% direct impact damage increase for the A.R.C. M1 and a 50% damage buff to an unnamed Special weapon. Two new weapons joined Endgame: Kilonova (full-auto SMG, Graviton Round affinity) and Infraradiance (semi-auto shotgun, Photon Round affinity).
Restore Tokens now appear in Endgame loot starting Season 4. They allow you to reset a Skill Track without losing your Combat Rating: a quality-of-life addition that arrived roughly three seasons after people needed it.
Season 5 starts approximately July 23. Free trial remains active through Season 5's end, estimated around September 3. After that, full game purchase required.
The post-launch narrative is finished after Act IV. What Endgame receives in Season 5 is unconfirmed but likely includes limited-time world events, no new operations, and no new Glitch Fractures. Season 6 is the Haunting. Every CoD Season 6 since 2019 has been a Halloween content push: expect a reskinned Avalon, a limited-time mode, and approximately forty new bundles. Nothing permanent.
The broader reason Endgame is being wound down early isn't the mode's popularity: it's that Modern Warfare 4 launches in October and Activision's budget priorities have already shifted. Black Ops 7 underperformed on sales. The content it received was still better than BO6 Season 4. That is a low bar and also true simultaneously.
No. Complete Act IV and the final Glitch Fracture first. Prestige resets your Field Acquisitions and loadout weapon rarity, which will make Nightmare difficulty content actively worse. Once the story content is cleared, prestige as many times as you're willing to rebuild your operator from zero. If you plan to only prestige once, Prestige 3 is the only one with a genuinely impactful reward: the fourth skill track slot increases max Combat Rating from 75 to 88 and meaningfully changes how your builds function.
Prestige after Act IV. Not before. This is not a debate.
