Arc Raiders Search Computers Trial

The Arc Raiders Search Computers Trial is a Season 4 challenge: find and interact with Computer objects scattered across surface maps. Each computer pays 120 points. You need roughly 3,000+ points for 3 stars: meaning approximately 25 lootable computers in a single raid. Not 10. Not 15. Twenty-five. That number will either motivate or destroy you.

Reality check Computers are everywhere. Lootable containers inside them are not. Out of 100+ visible computer terminals on Spaceport, expect roughly 20–25 to actually have anything inside. The rest exist to waste your time and test your emotional stability.

There are multiple computer types visually. Not all count. Breachable server cabinets: do not count. Wall-mounted panels: do not count. Only the freestanding desktop-style terminals with a container prompt count. If it doesn't give you an interaction prompt, keep moving.

Best Map: Spaceport

Spaceport is the only viable map for a solo 3-star attempt. Every other map either lacks density or punishes you with PvP before you collect enough. Buried City Space Travel and Research has 60 potential computer spawns: sounds great, until you learn the average lootable count is 3 to 7 per run. That range includes the lucky runs. Spaceport has bad spawn rates too, but more total spawn points means more actual loot.

Special mention: the Hidden Bunker map condition on Spaceport is the only time this trial becomes tolerable. Eight computers in one interior, higher spawn rates, potentially 1,000+ bonus points. It rotates once every 24 hours: timing varies by region. If it lines up, play it. If it's at 4 AM, that's a personal decision.

Spaceport: All Spawn Locations

Here is every location on Spaceport where Arc Raiders computer spawn locations have been confirmed. Average lootable count per location is noted. Actual results will differ because RNG is a design philosophy here.

Arrival Building ~7 avg

The best single location on the entire map. Consistently yields the most lootable computers per run. Do this building methodically: ground floor first, then up via zipline. There is a secret upper room most players miss; it has low spawn rate but worth checking when you have time. Do not skip Arrival. If you only have 10 minutes left, go here and nowhere else.

Departure Building ~6 if lucky

Second best. Multiple floors with computer clusters. Spawn rates are inconsistent: some runs you get 6, some you get 2. Together with Arrival, these two buildings form your guaranteed point base of ~13–15 computers. The rest of the map fills the gap to 25.

East Plains Warehouse (Djangu) ~3 avg

Underrated. Two warehouse buildings of the same layout in this area. Up to 3 computers each if spawns cooperate. Upper floor and a small back office hold most of the potential spawns. The Djangu Warehouse Arc Raiders cluster is worth a detour early in the run when you're sweeping the outskirts.

Control Tower ~1–2 avg

Seven potential spawns across two floors including a breachable room. In practice, expect 1–2 to actually appear. Bring a hole cracker if you want the locked room: though statistically it probably won't matter. Still worth hitting if you're passing through.

Communication Towers 2 each, decent rate

Two computers per tower, and: unusually: a higher-than-average spawn rate compared to the rest of the map's outer areas. If towers are in your path, always check them. They're fast to clear and occasionally generous.

Container Storage + Vehicle Maintenance low spawn

These exist. They have computers. The spawn rate is abysmal. Hit them during the outskirt sweep only: don't reroute specifically for them.

Maintenance Hangar low spawn

Several computer positions across the interior. Expect mostly empty frames. Include in your route when passing south of the map, but do not expect results.

Fuel Control small selection

A handful of computers at the back of the building. Low spawn chance. Worth a brief loop on your way to Arrival: confirmed at least two terminal types count here.

Skip Entirely

  • Rocket Assembly: zero computers. Not one. Move on.
  • Service Buildings: two computers total. Time cost not worth it.
  • Raider Depots: computers are present but lootable container never observed spawning.

Fastest Route to 3 Stars

You need the full 40-minute raid timer to hit 25 computers. This is not a quick run. Pack accordingly: stims, ziplines, and a Hatch Key for the Trench Hatch West extract near Arrival Building.

  1. Drop on the outskirts: Communications Tower, East Plains Warehouse, Djangu Warehouse. Sweep fast, low expectations. This buys extra points while you travel toward the center.
  2. Work toward Container Storage and Vehicle Maintenance in the south. Check quickly, don't linger.
  3. Hit Maintenance Hangar on the way through. Same energy: fast check, move on.
  4. Sweep Control Tower and any towers in range. Towers have better odds: don't skip them.
  5. At the ~10-minute mark: stop the outskirt grind. Head directly to Departure Building. Clear it floor by floor.
  6. Then Arrival Building. This is where your score lives. Ground floor first, full circle of the upper floor via zip, secret upper room last.
  7. Extract via Trench Hatch West: have that hatch key ready. You will be cutting time close.

Timing reality One documented run hit exactly 3 stars with under 30 seconds to spare: after mapping every spawn, memorizing every route, and running the full timer. This trial does not reward casual play. It also barely rewards serious play. Budget accordingly.

The outskirt sweep exists only for supplemental points. If the RNG is bad out there, do not chase it. Arc Raiders Season 4 Trial scoring is 120 points per computer: running an extra 400 meters for a single maybe-spawn that probably won't appear is a time crime.

What Actually Counts as a Computer

This needs its own section because the game enjoys visual deception. Not everything that looks like a computer contributes to your arc raiders search computers tips-level score:

What Computers Drop

Computers are electrical loot containers: they drop tech and electrical materials. The trial isn't generous but at least the loot is useful.

Advanced Electrical Components also drop from Buried City's Space Travel area during Night Raids if you need them outside the trial context. Alternatively, craft them: upgrade Refiner Workshop to level 2 using three Toasters, five ARC Motion Cores, and eight Fireball Burners. Either path requires commitment.

Map Conditions Worth Caring About

  • Hidden Bunker (Spaceport): 8 concentrated computers, reportedly higher spawn rate. Once per 24 hours. The correct time to play this trial if available.
  • Night Raid: Elevated loot density in Buried City Space Travel. Useful if doing a multi-map run. Visibility becomes your problem.
  • Locked Gate (Blue Gate): Extends raid to 40 minutes. Extra time for the outskirt sweep if you're on Blue Gate for another reason. Not a reason to go to Blue Gate.

What to Bring

The Arc Raiders computer farming loadout is entirely about mobility and survival, not combat:

  • Ziplines / snap hooks: mandatory for Arrival Building's upper floor and cross-map travel. Save at least one for Arrival.
  • Stims: bring as many as inventory allows. You are running constantly for 40 minutes.
  • Hatch Key: Trench Hatch West is the closest extract to Arrival Building. Without it, your extract route adds dangerous minutes at the end of a tight run.
  • Hole Cracker or breach tool: for the Control Tower locked room. Low yield but included in thorough runs.
  • Combat loadout: secondary priority. You'll encounter ARC. Keep your primary indoor-friendly (SMG, shotgun). Wasps love Spaceport. Seekers handle them.

Arc Raiders Search Computers Trial FAQ

How many computers do I need for 3 stars?

Around 25 lootable computers in one raid. Each gives 120 points; 3 stars needs ~3,000+.

Does map choice actually matter?

Yes. Spaceport only. Buried City averages 3–7 per run across 60 possible spawns. Math is not in your favor elsewhere.

Do all computer-looking objects count?

No. Server cabinets and wall panels are confirmed non-scoring. Only freestanding terminals with a container prompt count.

Can I 3-star this in one run?

Yes, but it requires the full 40-minute timer, the complete Spaceport route, and luck. One documented run barely made it with 30 seconds left.

Is Hidden Bunker necessary?

Not required, but it is the most efficient scenario. Without it, expect to hit the timer wall on every run.
