ARC Raiders Hidden Bunkers Guide: Spaceport Hidden Run
The viral ARC Raiders Rocketeer flip is real: but only if conditions are met. Our complete guide covers the anvil splitter combo, shot placement, Barr

A player shooting a Rocketeer with a specific loadout: the ARC Raiders Rocketeer flip loadout. The poster credited an Anvil equipped with the Anvil Splitter mod and an Extended Barrel attachment as the reason it was possible. The question everyone had: is this repeatable?
After thorough testing in Dam Battlegrounds, the answer is yes: but with specific conditions that must all be met simultaneously. It isn't a guaranteed one-shot trick, but mastering it gives you a legitimate edge against one of the game's toughest airborne threats.

Rocketeer Flip |
Simply equipping the combo is not enough. You must meet the four key conditions below to flip the Rocketeer instead of it just shrugging off your shot. |
|
Condition 1 |
Combat Mode Active |
The Rocketeer must be in attack mode: not cruising with its blue search beam. Combat mode adds thruster velocity, which combines with the anvil shot to create the flip. |
|
Condition 2 |
Shoot from Below |
Aim directly up at the underside of the thruster. Shooting from the side tanks the impact; vertical force from below is required to push the thruster into a flip. |
|
Condition 3 |
Close to the Ground |
If the Rocketeer is too high, it stabilizes before crashing. You need it low enough to ensure it lands on its back and explodes. Bait it toward buildings and elevated terrain. |
|
Condition 4 |
Armor Plating Removed |
The outer gray-black armor plating absorbs impact. Strip it first so the inner white ARC alloy is exposed—especially the unarmored thruster underside—for full effect. |
Pro Tip: Rocketeer triple rocket attack weakness
If you catch the Rocketeer during its triple rocket attack, it gains extra momentum and speed. A thruster shot during this window is far more likely to crash it violently. This is the Rocketeer triple rocket attack weakness you want to exploit.

The physics behind the trick are elegant. The Anvil Splitter mod replaces the single projectile with four: effectively multiplying the pushback force on the thruster by four points of impact at once. The Extended Barrel increases projectile velocity, and higher velocity is what allows weapons like the Aphelion and Osprey to affect flying ARC so effectively.
Together, the two attachments create a concentrated burst of momentum directed upward at the thruster. Combined with the Rocketeer's own thruster force in combat mode, the resultant flip is a real in-engine physics interaction: not a glitch.
The ARC Raiders unarmored thruster shot is the key. The underside thruster area is naturally unplated: aim there specifically. Even in the original viral clip, this is the exact point the player targeted.
Testing also confirmed a bonus mechanic: if you push the Rocketeer into any solid object: a lamppost, a wall, a railing: it takes massive collision damage. Two Rocketeers were killed in testing simply by pushing them into lampposts with this combo. Any surface contact while the thrusters are active causes huge damage.
The Anvil Splitter is a Legendary weapon mod exclusively for the Anvil pistol. It converts its single shot into four simultaneous projectiles. Its value is 7,000 Raider Coins, making it one of the highest-value mods in the game. The blueprint drop rate was also nerfed post-Cold Snap, making the mod rarer to find than before.

Run 2x raids and head straight to the pharmacy in Buried City (Plaza Rosa area, near extraction). Loot everything: drawers, trash cans, shelves. The ARC Raiders 2x raid loot boost significantly raises the spawn rate of higher-tier legendary attachments. Cold Snap gave better results than Hurricane in community testing. The door is locked, which traditionally boosts loot value behind it.
Even if you don't use the mod, recycling an Anvil Splitter yields Mod Components and a Processor. Salvaging yields Mechanical Components. Every duplicate is still useful.
The Trophy Display Project (added in Patch 1.13.0, Headwinds update) is a permanent five-stage project where you turn in ARC machine parts for rewards. Stage 3 rewards three Anvil Splitters as part of its completion bundle: making ARC Raiders Trophy Project rewards a guaranteed alternative to RNG farming.

Stage 4 requires Rocketeer Drivers: dropped by killing Rocketeers. Using the Rocketeer Flipper loadout to take them down faster directly feeds your Trophy Display progress.
Honest assessment: the Anvil Splitter is pretty poor in PvP. When comparing anvil splitter vs Toro PvP, the Toro wins. The multi-projectile spread reduces average damage per shot: exactly what you don't want from a pistol. The pellets divide your damage, and at mid-to-long range many miss entirely. The Toro, even post-nerf, remains the superior close-range option.
In SUS or PvP lobbies, keep the Anvil Splitter in your safe pocket and only equip it when actively targeting a Rocketeer. The mod is too valuable to risk losing in combat where it underperforms anyway.
For PvE lobbies, however, you can use the loadout freely without much worry. Even if you don't land the flip every time, pushing the Rocketeer into objects and applying consistent pressure speeds up the kill significantly compared to a standard Anvil setup.
Players who have practiced the Hornet Driver extensively will find it more efficient for consistent Rocketeer kills. That said, the Anvil Splitter combo outperforms a plain Anvil even without achieving the full flip: the combo still applies meaningful force and can deal bonus collision damage. It's a valid tool when the Hornet Driver isn't available.

No: all four conditions must align: combat mode, shot from below, low altitude, and armor stripped. Miss one and it usually won't flip.
The Buried City pharmacy in Plaza Rosa during Cold Snap or Night Raid is the community's top pick for consistent drops per run.
The 2x map condition raises the spawn rate of higher-value items in containers, making legendary mods like the Anvil Splitter more likely to appear.
Yes: Stage 3 of the Trophy Display rewards three Anvil Splitters alongside a Kinetic Converter and Shotgun Silencer Blueprint as guaranteed loot.
Generally no: the spread reduces average damage per shot and hurts long-range accuracy, making the Toro a better shotgun-style option overall.
