WoW 12.0.7 Omnium Folio Guide
Mythic Sporefall skips the traditional instance lock: bonus roll Rotmire all week with Nebulous Voidcores. Full guide: lockout, loot, and Flex...
The Mythic Sporefall lockout does not behave like every other Mythic raid in the game's history. Instead of locking you to the instance ID after a kill, it works like a Heroic lockout: you're barred from direct drops, but you can re-enter, re-kill, and help other groups all week on the same character. No alt-swapping required.
Whether this is intentional or a side effect of Mythic Flex raiding: the experiment letting groups of 15 to 25 players enter Mythic instead of a fixed 20: is not confirmed. Blizzard hasn't said a word. Enjoy it while it lasts, or until a hotfix quietly kills it.
Status: Not officially confirmed as intended. Treat it as live until it isn't.

Here is where it gets interesting. The Voidforge bonus roll window opens every time you kill Rotmire on Mythic: even after your direct loot is locked. Kills two, three, and four this week will all prompt the roll screen. If you have Nebulous Voidcores sitting around unused, Mythic Sporefall is exactly where you should spend them.
At 298 item level, Sporefused loot is the highest-ilvl gear in Midnight Season 1. No upgrade currency, no Ascendant Voidcore grind. One kill, max ilvl: the same ceiling it takes weeks of upgrade farming to reach through any other route.
Voidforge raid bonus rolls cost 2 Nebulous Voidcores per attempt. Stack your cores before burning them on re-kills.

The quest reward is one Void-Twisted Sporbit per week, converting to one Nebulous Voidcore. That covers half a raid bonus roll. Pair it with a second core from the Great Vault or M+ and you have one full Voidforge attempt on Sporefused loot. Thrilling math.
Sporefall is the first raid in WoW history to run Mythic Flex scaling. Groups between 15 and 25 players enter Mythic, with boss health, damage, and add counts adjusting dynamically. This is a PTR experiment: not a permanent format change: but it is almost certainly why the Mythic raid lockout behaves like a flexible difficulty rather than a traditional instance lock.
The practical upside: guilds that perpetually sit at 17 or 22 players and cannot hit exactly 20 finally have a Mythic option. Rotmire Mythic does not require bench decisions or emergency recruitment. You bring who shows up, within the 15–25 bracket, and the boss scales to match.
15-player Mythic: boss health is lower, but every mechanic targets a higher proportion of your raid. You will be the soaking target more often. This is not easier: it is differently punishing.
Rotmire drops Sporefused gear across 11 armor slots covering all four armor types, plus a neck, a ring, and a trinket. No weapons. Weapon upgrades for Season 1 still come from March on Quel'Danas, the Voidforge, and Mythic+. If you came here for an axe, leave.

The Luminous Sporeglider mount comes from a weekly quest: kill Rotmire on any difficulty, collect a Delicious Sporesnack. Four weeks of this. LFR counts. Difficulty is irrelevant. Do not run Mythic for the mount.
The fight is an energy timer with stacking raid damage. Rotmire fills to 100 energy and casts Fungal Bloom: heavy Nature damage, 16-second DoT on the entire raid, and any adds alive at the time get fully healed and empowered via Fungal Frenzy. That is your wipe condition. Not DPS. Not healing. Add cleanup before every Bloom.
Meanwhile, Rotting Pustules stacks on the entire raid all fight and does not fall off. Your HPS requirement climbs continuously. The longer the pull runs, the worse it gets. Kill the boss before your healers run out of mana. That is the entire mechanic.
Burst AoE priority: Classes with strong cleave and reliable defensives perform best here. The fight rewards add-control, not single-target throughput.
In order of efficiency. Don't overthink it.

Unknown. Blizzard has not commented. It may stem from Mythic Flex tech. Assume it stays until a hotfix says otherwise.
As many times as you have Nebulous Voidcores for. Two cores per attempt, no hard cap on attempts per week.
Yes. The Voidforge roll window appears even when you are locked out of direct drops. That is the entire point.
No. Any difficulty counts. LFR gives the same weekly Sporesnack. Run the lowest difficulty available and save time.
No. Weapon upgrades remain tied to March on Quel'Danas, Mythic+, and the Voidforge. Rotmire only covers armor and accessories.
