Venomous Abyss Heroic Boss Guide: Midnight Season 2 PTR
Glowcap Festival returns May 27 in Zangarmarsh. Heal Fshoo, farm Sporeggar rep, buy Mycah loot. Full 2026 guide with verified Wowhead IDs inside
This is the wow glowcap festival 2026 edition of the guide, meaning the date, the mechanics, and the rewards are exactly the same as every year since 2017, because Blizzard reheats this one annually without touching a single number.

Micro-holiday, added Patch 7.1.5 |
Anyone calling this a zangarmarsh micro holiday and expecting a quest chain, cutscenes, or narrative closure will leave disappointed. There is a mushroom. It has a health bar. You heal it. That is the entire plot.
Fshoo spawns in the center of Sporeggar roughly every five minutes and immediately starts dying, because Blizzard decided health regeneration was for characters with better writing. Every stack of Fshoo Grow makes it bigger and tougher, but also flags it as one stack closer to the reputation payout you actually came for. This fshoo grow debuff is the only progress bar that matters here; everything else is decoration.
Bandages, food, and personal hope do nothing. Fshoo only accepts the four festival mushrooms below or a class healing spell. Sentimentality is not a valid heal.

Item |
Effect |
Currency mushroom. Grabbed off glowing nodes, spent at the quartermaster. |
Channeled heal on Fshoo. Your bread and butter. |
+2% healing done per stack, up to 100 stacks. |
Freezes damage and growth 3 seconds so healers can catch a breath. |
Instant 5% heal. The panic button. |
Pre-exalted: 24-hour sporeling transformation. |
Post-exalted swap: same disguise, upgraded ego. |
All of it drops off mushroom nodes scattered around Sporeggar, including the Glowcap node and the truffle-bearing Pungent Truffle patch, both of which respawn fast enough that fighting over them is a personal choice, not a necessity.
Mycah sells every festival mushroom for Glowcap if you'd rather buy your way through the healing minigame instead of farming it. Efficient. Slightly cowardly. Nobody will stop you.
This whole charade is a sporeggar reputation guide in disguise. When Fshoo finally dies, everyone present gets 50 reputation per stack of Fshoo Grow it was carrying, capped at 255 stacks, for a maximum of 12,750 reputation in one death. That is the entire economy of this holiday.

A dedicated group doing efficient sporeggar rep farming during the one-day window can realistically go from Revered to Exalted in an afternoon. Outside this day, you're back to killing bog lords for scraps.
Every glowcap festival rewards list boils down to reputation, two cosmetic achievements, and a disguise that makes you look like the thing you were just feeding. That's the entire prize wall. Manage expectations accordingly.
As far as any wow micro-holiday goes, this one is mercifully short: one day, one mushroom, one bar of reputation to watch climb. If you already have Sporeggar rep and no pets or bags left to buy, there is genuinely nothing else here for you, and that's fine. Go outside instead. Actually, don't — you're already this deep into a glowcap festival guide 2026 article, so at least log in and collect the free reputation before the day ends.

It happens every year on May 27, in Sporeggar, Zangarmarsh, for one in-game day, no exceptions, no mercy.
No. Bandages fail, food fails, hope fails. Only the four festival mushrooms and class healing spells restore Fshoo.
Reputation scales with Fshoo Grow stacks at death: fifty reputation per stack, capped at two hundred fifty five stacks.
Yes, permanently, once exalted. The mushroom simply swaps its loot table so nobody camps the same node twice.
Just two: the Czar of Sporeggar achievement and a recolored sporeling disguise nobody outside Zangarmarsh will ever notice.
