This run is basically a Burning Crusade anniversary Karazhan key guide in quest form, since the player follows a fixed chain that ends with The Master’s Key. The opening part happens in the Master’s Cellar under Karazhan, and the transcript version says the player uses a quest item in two caves and farms 10 ghostly essences in the same zone. 

Archmage Alturus stands outside Karazhan in Deadwind Pass, and he offers Arcane Disturbances plus Restless Activity at the same time. Arcane Disturbances gives the Violet Scrying Crystal, and the player uses it near two underground water sources inside the Master’s Cellar.

• Enter the cellar by the ruined buildings near the tower, then push down to the well reading spot and use the crystal there.
• Move to the second entrance with the pond area and use the crystal again, then finish the 10 Ghostly Essence requirement while clearing out.

After both turn-ins, a follow-up sends the player into Contact from Dalaran, which moves the chain toward Shattrath and Khadgar. for WoW Anniversary gold boost

Contact from Dalaran is the next quest in the chain, and it exists mainly to move the report to the right NPC. Khadgar is the follow-up quest, and the objective is simply delivering Alturus’s report to Khadgar in Shattrath City.

• Travel to the Dalaran contact for the hand-in, then accept the follow-up that points toward Shattrath.
• Turn in Khadgar in Shattrath, then accept Entry Into Karazhan to start.

Entry Into Karazhan sends the player to Shadow Labyrinth to retrieve the First Key Fragment from an Arcane Container.

Clicking the object summons a guardian and the fragment comes from the kill. In chat, people call this moment shadow lab key fragment TBC, since the fragment sits behind the full clear and the click spawns trouble.

• Enter Shadow Labyrinth with access handled, then clear toward the end of the instance near Murmur.
• Click the , kill the guardian that spawns, loot the fragment, then return to Khadgar for the turn-in.

The next quest is The Second and Third Fragments, and it asks for the second piece from Steamvault and the third piece from Arcatraz.

• Clear into Steamvault until the water pool near the first boss area, then locate the Arcane Container in the pool.
• Click the container, kill the guardian event boss, then loot the Second Key Fragment and keep the quest active. 

Arcatraz entry requires the Key to the Arcatraz chain, which begins in Netherstorm and runs through Tempest Keep wings.

• Finish the Key to the Arcatraz access chain, then enter The Arcatraz in Netherstorm with the group ready.
• Clear toward the Arcane Container location, click it, kill the guardian, loot the Third Key Fragment, then return to Khadgar.

Khadgar sends the player into The Master’s Touch after the fragments, and the quest text points toward Caverns of Time.

Access to Black Morass uses the Caverns of Time quest chain, including the quest The Black Morass which asks the player to speak with Sa’at inside. People describe this whole part as black morass Karazhan attunement, since the key restore happens after Medivh survives the portal waves.

• Complete the Caverns of Time intro, then complete Old Hillsbrad related quests until The Black Morass becomes available at the hub.
• Enter Black Morass, speak with Sa’at to start, then defend Medivh through the portal event until the run completes.

Bosses show up after 6, then 12 portals, and the final boss shows after 18 portals, so the group plans cooldowns around those spikes. After the final portal, The Master’s Touch completes by speaking to Medivh, and Medivh offers Return to Khadgar for the last trip.

Return to Khadgar ends in Shattrath City, and the reward is The Master’s Key, which opens Karazhan for the raid.

This hand-in is the real TBC anniversary masters key quest finish, since the key sits in the bags after the turn-in.
