SoD Fake Fresh EU Event Guide

Season of Discovery is not getting an actual fresh server. Blizzard won't do it. So a handful of EU content creators did it themselves, branding it the SoD Fake Fresh event. On June 19, 2026, at noon CEST, five streamers roll new Horde characters on Wild Growth (EU) and drag thousands of people with them. The unofficial Season of Discovery community revival nobody asked Blizzard for.

Over 1,500 players had already signed up in the Fake Fresh Discord before the event launched. A Spanish Alliance bloc of 350 organized to oppose the Horde flood. This is already chaos. Good.

All characters created for this Classic WoW community event must carry a specific suffix in their name, announced minutes before launch. If you miss it, you play in the sister guilds like some kind of observer. Touching.

The Guilds

Five guilds, five personalities. Pick the one whose dysfunction matches yours.

Guzu's Guild-Found Rules

This is the hard mode option. No Auction House. No trading with players outside the guild. Every piece of gear your character wears was found or crafted within the guild. Guzu also locks XP at three level brackets mirroring the original SoD phase cadence: 25, 40, and 50, each lasting roughly ten days. When the bracket lifts, you resume leveling like a responsible adult until the next wall.

Lmgd's Raid Schedule

Lmgd's approach to the Scarlet Enclave speed clear is logistical overkill on purpose. The plan is a single 20-man spike raid targeting Caldoran, supplemented by multiple 30-40 man no-gatekeeping raids as more people hit 60. Loot rules follow a tiered system: Need before Greed for older content, Soft Reserve for Naxxramas and Scarlet Enclave. Raids run every day. All day. He will also have four or more level 60 alts within the first few days, because apparently sleep is optional.

Scarlet Enclave: The Target

The Scarlet Enclave is the first raid built entirely for Season of Discovery, located at Tyr's Hand in the Eastern Plaguelands. It contains 8 bosses and is tuned for max-level (60) players. Every character inside receives the Resilience of the Dawn buff: a 5% bonus to damage, healing, and health that stacks every two weeks up to 25%. The longer your guild takes, the easier the bosses get. The raid has no attunement requirement.

The final boss everyone is racing toward is Grand Crusader Caldoran, who wields the Corrupted Ashbringer. Killing him is the unlock condition most guilds have set as their primary milestone. The Ashbringer questline is tied to this encounter.

Key Bosses

• Balnazzar: First major encounter. Defeating him also drops a Level 85 Character Boost item tied to the Mists Classic launch.
• Beatrix: Former Argent Dawn operative, now a double-crosser. Interrupt-heavy fight with reinforcement waves.
• Lilian Voss: Pre-undead version. Stealth mechanics, martial brutality.
• Grand Crusader Caldoran: The final target. Corrupted Ashbringer, high coordination required.

Before walking in, bring Greater Holy Protection Potions, Greater Fire Protection Potions, and fire resistance gear. Install DBM. Gather 30-40 players if your guild lacks 3.5-tier sets. If you go in undergeared with 20 people, you will find out why that was wrong.

How to Join

The simplest path: make a new Horde character on Wild Growth (EU) on June 19th. Add the name suffix when it's announced. Find a guild. That's it. This is a WoW Classic server restart requiring zero special access, no payment, and no approval from Blizzard. The server already exists.
