But if you swing a hammer or pickaxe for a living, the headline is Auxesia: the final FFXIV Cosmic Exploration destination, and the exclusive source of every single new mount this patch.

If your jobs aren't Disciples of the Hand or Land, you'll be buying these off the Market Board like the rest of the non-crafters. Which is fine. The Market Board doesn't judge. Much.

Auxesia: The Final Frontier (of Grinding)

Auxesia is the last stop on the Cosmic Exploration Auxesia tour. To unlock it, complete the quest "The Forests of Paradise": pick it up from Namingway on Oizys. Once there, speak with Drivingway at Mare Lamentorum (X:21.9, Y:13.2) to make the trip. Don't ask why an NPC named Drivingway is managing interstellar travel. It's fine.

Auxesia introduces Tool Mastery Missions, score-based challenges reserved for players who've fully completed their Cosmic Tool. Think of it as a boss rush for people who've already maxed their crafting obsession. High scores reward extended time limits, score multipliers, GP recovery: and most importantly, Auxesia Exploration Tokens, the currency that unlocks the two rarest mounts.

Warning: Starward Standings on Auxesia are calculated exclusively from Auxesia contributions. Your grind on Oizys means nothing here. Start over.

Token booklets and mounts are both marketboard-tradeable. So if you want the Cosmic Predator Mount FFXIV without touching a crafting log, open your wallet and cry in peace.

How to Actually Unlock These

The "Affordable" Two (Carbide Grey Warp Loader & Excavating Vacuum Suit)

Buy them. 20,000 Cosmocredits each from Mesouaidonque, available at any Cosmic Exploration field. Cosmocredits accumulate from daily successes across all stars, including Sinus Ardorum, Phaenna, and Oizys. These are not hard. They are just time. The difference is important.

Cosmic Armored Weapon Beta

A Cosmic Fortune drop. Meaning you complete missions, pray, and either get lucky or don't. The FFXIV Cosmic Fortune rewards system has never promised fairness, and it's not starting now. Buy it off the Market Board if your patience has limits.

Cosmic Predator (60 Auxesia Token Booklets)

Sixty booklets. Each earned from EX+ stellar missions and Tool Mastery Missions on Auxesia. This is a deliberate investment of time in exchange for a mount that looks considerably cooler than anything the other 59 booklets might have bought. The Auxesia Exploration Token mount is the endgame flex of this patch for non-raiders.

Interstellar Leafkin

Gold Auxesia Dronebit reward: meaning top-tier performance in Auxesia field content. This isn't RNG exactly, but it demands you actually be good at the content. A leafkin. That floats in space. For your effort. Sure.

Cosmocredit Farming: The Short Version

• Complete daily successes on any Cosmic Exploration star.
• After unlocking Auxesia, daily success credits convert to Auxesia Credits automatically.
• Auxesia Exploration Tokens come from EX+ stellar missions and Tool Mastery Missions only.
• Track standings via Scanningway at Auxesia (X:26.8, Y:28.7).
• Star Contributor rank gets you a hologram, monument credit, and visual effects. Mount collectors couldn't care less.

The fastest path to FFXIV 7.51 Cosmocredit farming is daily discipline. Log in. Do the missions. Log out. Repeat until mount. It's not a secret. It's a subscription service called "being an MMO player."

Skip the Grind: Market Board Reality Check

All five mounts are tradeable. Launch-week prices ranged from 1–3 million Gil for the common three and 30–40 million for Cosmic Predator and Interstellar Leafkin. Those numbers will shift dramatically within the first month. The FFXIV Patch 7.51 Market Board is a living organism that feeds on impatience. Wait two weeks and the commons will be under a million. The rares may stay painful for longer: Auxesia Token Booklets aren't infinitely farmable per day.

Where 7.51 Sits in the Bigger Picture

Patch 7.51 is the second content update in the Dawntrail patch cycle: one of the last before the Evercold expansion launches in January 2027. The Dancing Mad Ultimate FFXIV raid is the seventh Ultimate in the game's history, drawing from Final Fantasy VI's Kefka and the Stormblood Sigmascape tier. It requires clearing AAC Heavyweight M4 Savage to enter and has a 120-minute time limit. Only four people in your static will admit they haven't cleared the prerequisite. Everyone else is lying.

Future patches bring North Horn, Phantom Weapons in 7.55 and the Beastmaster limited job in 7.56. None of that matters to mount collectors right now. Focus.
