Thor Build Guide: Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt NM 300

The Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt Thor build that actually clears Nightmare 300 solo is not complicated, it is just unforgiving of laziness. Stack lightning damage until the number looks fake, add boss damage so bosses stop being a personality trait of yours, and swap your leftover points into survivability once the offense stat sheet stops moving the needle. This is the version of the build that stopped dying to trash mobs and started only dying to one specific map, which is progress by Blood Hunt standards.

Marvel Rivals Boost

This setup is commonly called the lightning aura Thor or awakening Thor build, and it leans entirely into the right side of Thor's Blood Hunt trait tree while ignoring the hammer-throw branch completely. You are not here to throw Mjolnir like some kind of primitive. You stand still, glow, and watch the horde evaporate.

Traits: Stop Reading Every Tooltip

Copy the trait layout, do not philosophize about it. The build lives entirely in the awakening branch, and the left tree is dead weight you never touch.

  • Put three points into immortal rune awakening because the extra uptime removes the awkward downtime window where you are just a man standing in a crowd.
  • Prioritize primary attack speed over ability cooldown since your damage source is the lightning aura itself, not your cooldown rotation.
  • Take crit damage over crit rate at the finishing nodes because this build already reaches crit rate comfortably through gear.
  • Skip Mjolnir bash damage entirely since it contributes nothing once your aura is doing all the actual work.
  • Skip ultimate storm as well because the payoff never justifies the point investment at these difficulty levels.

Gear: The Part Where People Waste Currency

Gear is where this build either works or you spend three weeks confused about why you cannot progress past Nightmare 240. You want one S-tier lightning domain, at least one high-speed shock or high voltage roll, and a rune onslaught somewhere in the mix. Once all four of those exist across your gear, the fifth slot can duplicate any one of them and it will not matter which.

SlotPriority StatsEnhancement Order
WeaponTotal damage bonus, lightning domainFirst
ArmorTotal damage bonus, damage reductionSecond
ExclusiveBoss damage, crit damageThird
RingHigh-speed shock or high voltageLast

Every serious high-damage setup in the mode, not just this one, needs total damage bonus on two separate gear pieces or the whole thing collapses under its own ambition. Do not compromise on this to keep a piece with a cute secondary stat.

You cannot reroll total damage bonus onto a piece that does not already have it, the odds are effectively zero, and burning your currency chasing it anyway is how people quit the mode angry. Farm for a base piece that already rolled it, then refine everything else around that piece.

Enhancement and Refining Order

Blood Hunt gear enhancement is what actually carries you from Nightmare 200 to 300, not new gear drops. Enhance your weapon to level ten first since it scales damage the hardest, then move to armor, then the exclusive, and leave the ring for whenever you have currency left over.

  • Refining a piece from level one to level ten costs roughly fifteen thousand currency, which sounds worse than it is once you are farming Nightmare difficulty properly.
  • Maxing a piece automatically upgrades one of its stats to S-tier, so do not panic-reroll a stat the moment you unlock the option.
  • A piece that is good but imperfect is still worth enhancing now, since a better drop later does not waste your prior investment much at all.

Blood Hunt refining exists specifically so you are not permanently punished for equipping a B-tier piece early, so stop hoarding currency like it is going out of style and actually spend it.

Arcana: Defense Beats Another Damage Card

Blood Hunt Arcana splits into offensive, defensive, and utility cards drawn between waves, and the instinct to grab every damage card is the exact instinct that gets you killed at higher floors. Once your total damage bonus is already sitting near sixteen hundred percent, another small percentage of damage does almost nothing, while a flat five percent damage reduction or a flat health bonus meaningfully extends how long you survive a bad pull.

Take defensive Arcana from the midgame onward, not because it is exciting, but because your armor is the only gear slot scaling your survivability while three other slots are busy turbocharging your offense. The math stops being close once you pass Nightmare 200.

Bosses and the One Map That Will Humiliate You

Blood Hunt boss damage rolls are non-negotiable at this point, since without them the boss phases at Nightmare 300 stop being a formality and start being a coin flip. Most maps still let you kite comfortably, with one exception that punishes anyone without an escape route.

  • The open grass map has no cover to kite around, so a bad boss roll there can end an otherwise flawless run.
  • The map near the cart is kiteable if you loop the cart itself, and it becomes trivial once your damage output is already overtuned.
  • Landing the Kingpin hidden boss instead of Dracula on a mediocre map is the easiest version of that encounter you will get.

General Blood Hunt PVE difficulty scaling means enemy density and boss aggression both climb hard past Nightmare 200, which is exactly why this build front-loads offense early and only pivots defensive once the numbers demand it. Start your climb on whatever gear you already have, enhance one piece to bridge you past the first wall, and let the aura do the rest.

Thor Build Guide: Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt NM 300 FAQ

What is the best Thor build for Nightmare 300 in Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt?

A lightning aura awakening build stacking total damage bonus, crit damage, boss damage, and defensive Arcana late game.

Do I need two lightning domain pieces for this build?

One S-tier lightning domain plus high-speed shock, high voltage, and rune onslaught covers the core requirement comfortably.

Should Arcana points go offensive or defensive at Nightmare 300?

Defensive, since offense scales far faster through enhancement, making flat damage reduction more valuable at higher floors.

What order should I enhance my gear in?

Weapon first, then armor, then exclusive, and finally the ring, since ring stats matter the least.

Can you reroll a total damage bonus stat on gear?

Essentially no, the odds are near zero, so farm new gear instead of wasting currency rerolling it.
