Spin the wheel, win with only one mythic. Full DC Hot Bat Summer boss guide: locations, weapons, loot, and the Battle Bus escape trick.
A wheel decides your fate. You land on one of four Gotham City villains from the Fortnite Hot Bat Summer event, and from that second on you are only allowed to fight with that villain's mythic weapon. Nothing else counts. Land on Batman and you're stuck grappling and ramming people with a beach buggy while everyone else sprays you with an assault rifle. The challenge only ends once you win two full matches using two different mythic weapons, so one lucky victory means absolutely nothing.
The four targets are Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Batman. Each Siren stands in a fixed beach spot every single match, so the location problem is solved before the game even starts. The real problem is that everyone else already knows the map too, and you cannot fight other players until you actually win your duel and collect the mythic. Until then you're just a tourist with a pump shotgun, hoping nobody notices you.
| Boss | Location | Mythic Weapon | Fight Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Catwoman | Beach south of Wonkeeland, near the Bat Cave | Rapid Fire SMG, bigger magazine | Easy, low health, jumps around a lot |
| Poison Ivy | Shoreline north of The Battlewoods, Bus Stop landmark | Ranger Pistol, faster fire rate while aiming | Easy, throws stink grenades and heals herself |
| Harley Quinn | Beach south of Sinister Strip | Warforged AR, ramps up fire rate on hold | Easy, tosses grenades, dies fast up close |
| Batman | South of Wonkeeland, sells items instead of dueling | Grapnel Gun and the Batmobile only | Brutal, no real weapon exists |
Every single one of these fights hands you the same consolation prizes on top of the unique gun: a chance at the new Batman Sprite, roughly a thousand gold, and a random heal item. So yes, the "random" boss challenge is mostly random in name, since three quarters of the roster gives you a functioning gun and one quarter gives you a car and a rope.
Catwoman patrols the beach south of Wonkeeland, conveniently right on top of the new Bat Cave, so loot up before you even talk to her. She has less health than the other Sirens and her only trick is jumping around to dodge fire, which stops mattering the second you get close with anything that fires fast. Her Catwoman Mythic SMG is a rapid fire weapon with a larger ammo pool than the standard version, and it eats through ammo like it's on a diet plan that failed.
You cannot damage another player with anything except your assigned mythic weapon. Land near a boss with three other squads doing the same thing and your loot run becomes a hostage situation. Grab a real gun before the duel starts, because after the duel starts the mythic is all you're legally allowed to use.
Once she's dead, farm the Bat Cave for ammo crates and materials before pushing anywhere else. The gun is technically weak per shot, so volume of fire is the only thing keeping you alive, and running out of bullets mid fight is how you lose to somebody with a default pistol.
Poison Ivy sits north of The Battlewoods on the Bus Stop shoreline, and her Poison Ivy Mythic Pistol is widely considered the best reward in the entire event. The gun fires faster the longer you aim down sights, which turns it into a laser beam that somehow still counts as a sidearm. She throws stink grenades and heals through tick damage during the duel, but her health pool is small enough that none of it matters if you rush.
Everybody lands near her beach, which means the fight for loot is often worse than the fight against her. Grab a car, a slurp truck, anything that keeps you alive before you even challenge her, because arriving with zero shield against a full lobby of Ivy hunters is a great way to skip your turn entirely.
Harley Quinn stands south of Sinister Strip and fights exclusively with an assault rifle plus the occasional lobbed grenade. Her Harley Quinn Mythic weapon, the Warforged AR, increases fire rate the longer you hold the trigger, rewarding players who just hold a button and pray. She has no special defensive gimmick, so a shotgun or SMG rush ends the duel before her rifle range becomes a problem.
Batman does not duel. He only sells you the Batman Grapnel Gun, a mobility item with zero damage output, which means landing on Batman during the spin turns your entire match into a survival exercise wrapped in a joke. Your only offensive option becomes ramming people with the Batmobile Beach Buggy, a beach themed variant of the Batmobile that spawns at normal vehicle points and inside the Bat Cave itself.Winning a full match on Batman rules means avoiding every close range gunfight, farming mobility items, and treating the buggy like a battering ram with wheels. It is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, and also the only way the challenge earns any bragging rights at all.
The Bat Cave location sits directly beneath Wonkeeland, reachable through the beach entrance or a hidden zipline tunnel, and it holds several chests, ammo crates, and a guaranteed vehicle spawn. Since Catwoman spawns right next to it, this is the natural first stop of any run regardless of which boss you land on. Do not skip the Batman Sprite chase either, since collecting one lets you deploy a Bat Cape mid air, giving you free extra mobility that has nothing to do with your assigned mythic and everything to do with staying alive long enough to use it.
There is a second, sneakier win condition running through the current season called the Battle Bus Victory Royale. Find the actual battle bus near the end of the match, climb aboard, and surviving as the last player on it wins the game outright, mythic weapon or not. This matters enormously for the Batman spin, since a laughable weapon loadout stops being a problem the moment you can just outlast people and jump on a bus instead of shooting anyone.
Combine a rough mythic like the Grapnel Gun with this bus strategy and suddenly the worst possible spin becomes just another checkbox instead of a lost match. That is the entire trick behind clearing this challenge without losing your mind.

South of Wonkeeland, right next to the Bat Cave entrance, spawning in that exact spot every match.
Poison Ivy's Ranger Pistol, thanks to its rapid fire rate while aiming down sights.
Only with a normal weapon. Once the duel starts, you're locked to the mythic for the rest of that challenge run.
No, he only sells the Grapnel Gun, making his challenge the hardest by far.
An alternate win condition where surviving as the last player aboard the battle bus wins the match instantly.
