Fortnite And Looney Tunes Collaboration Guide

You survived another Fortnite season: a season so long that players were reportedly checking their birth certificates to confirm they hadn't aged out of the target demographic. Now, just as you thought the suffering was over, Epic Games has officially confirmed that Looney Tunes is coming to Fortnite with Chapter 7 Season 2, launching on March 19, 2026. Nothing says "cutting-edge battle royale" like a cartoon rabbit from 1940 holding a carrot.

After weeks of leaks from everyone and their grandmother: including a contractor Epic Games subsequently sued for $175,000: the crossover is no longer a rumor. Three characters have been confirmed: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny. The official Looney Tunes social media channels broke the news on March 16, 2026. The gaming community erupted. Parents felt deeply confused. Wallets began to weep preemptively.

Fun fact: The same contractor who leaked this collab also leaked Game of Thrones coming to Fortnite. Epic sued them into oblivion. The leaks were still correct. Justice is dead.

The season itself is called Showdown and centers on a rivalry between The Foundation (Dwayne Johnson, yes, that Dwayne Johnson) and The Ice King. Somewhere in between those two enormous fictional grudges, Bugs Bunny will be standing there, chewing a carrot, completely unbothered: which is honestly the correct energy for this game.

Characters Confirmed

Three beloved Warner Bros. icons have been graciously selected to have their legacy compressed into a 3D model for players to wear while doing the default dance. Here's who you're getting:

  • Bugs Bunny: The main event. Confirmed in the Battle Pass key art. A rabbit who has been outsmarting hunters since 1940 will now be outsmarted by 12-year-olds with aim assist.
  • Daffy Duck: Item Shop exclusive. Famous for his lisp, his rage, and his spectacular talent for losing. A fitting mascot for the average Fortnite progress help session, honestly.
  • Lola Bunny: Also Item Shop. Introduced in Space Jam (1996). Expected to arrive alongside Daffy shortly after Season 2 launches. She deserves better than this.

Leakers have further speculated that Road Runner and Elmer Fudd could arrive in later waves throughout the season, because Epic never lets a licensed collab die after just three skins when there are more V-Bucks to be extracted.

Editorial observation: Daffy Duck's entire personality is that he gets humiliated constantly and never wins. He was put in the Item Shop. This was not an accident.

How to Get the Skins

Wonderful news: there are multiple pathways to obtaining these skins, and every single one involves parting with money or a comical amount of free time. Choose your poison below.

Bugs Bunny: Battle Pass Route

Bugs Bunny is confirmed as part of the Chapter 7 Season 2 Showdown Battle Pass. Earlier leaks claimed he'd be at Tier 1: meaning the very first unlock: which would be a lovely gift if Epic's recent removal of the 500 V-Bucks completion bonus didn't sour the whole deal. That's right: starting this season, completing the Battle Pass no longer returns extra V-Bucks. You now spend 800 V-Bucks and that's simply that. Progress and be grateful.

  1. Purchase the Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass for 800 V-Bucks (~$8.99).
  2. Play the game. Acquire XP. Level up the pass.
  3. Unlock Bugs Bunny at the appropriate tier: likely early in the pass.
  4. Equip him. Go into a match. Get eliminated in 45 seconds. Repeat.

Alternatively: Buy the Battle Pack for 2,600 V-Bucks ($22.99) and skip straight to level 25. Because your time is worth $14 extra, and also you will definitely use that head start productively.

Daffy Duck & Lola Bunny: Item Shop Route

These two will be available for direct purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop. There is no grinding required. There is only the open wallet and the inevitable transaction.

  1. Navigate to the Item Shop from the Fortnite main menu.
  2. Locate the Looney Tunes section: it will be impossible to miss because Epic paid for the license and needs to recoup it immediately.
  3. Purchase individual skins or the full bundle.
  4. Accept that you have spent real money on a cartoon duck.
  5. Do not tell your accountant.

Pricing Breakdown

For the financially masochistic, here is exactly how much this particular joy costs. All prices are in V-Bucks, Fortnite rank help proprietary currency that Epic designed specifically so you never quite know what you're spending in real money.

  • Bugs Bunny: 800 V-BucksBattle Pass · ~$8.99
  • Daffy Duck: 1,500 V-BucksItem Shop · ~$13.99
  • Lola Bunny: 1,500 V-BucksItem Shop · ~$13.99
  • Full Bundle: 2,800 V-BucksItem Shop · ~$25.99

The Looney Tunes bundle is expected to include additional cosmetics: themed back blings, pickaxes, and likely a wrap or two with Acme Corp branding, because the licensing deal has a word count minimum. Individual additional cosmetics will naturally cost extra. The bundle price exists to make the individual purchases feel reasonable by comparison. This is called anchoring. You are being anchored.

For context: a community member on Reddit observed that the licensing costs for a franchise like Looney Tunes would be staggering, and another replied that Fortnite "can't afford this license, they're struggling to pay bills." That person was wrong: Epic Games generated billions in revenue: but the beautiful despair of that comment deserves to be preserved.

What Else Is in Season 2

In the event that cartoon rabbits aren't enough to justify your continued engagement, here is a partial inventory of what Chapter 7 Season 2 is bringing alongside the Looney Tunes cosmetics:

  • A new map location: Ice Citadel: a frozen fortress themed around the Ice King, which will almost certainly become the most contested drop on the map until everyone moves on in two weeks.
  • The Foundation returns: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is back with an updated skin, helmet-off edit style, and the same energy of someone who technically finished a Fortnite collab but did not technically enjoy it.
  • Jules remix skin: The Chapter 2 Season 3 character returns with a new look for those who enjoyed her the first time, which was apparently enough people to warrant a sequel.
  • New movement mechanic: Details remain vague but it will be either overpowered for two weeks or immediately nerfed into irrelevance. Patch 1.1 will fix it. Patch 1.2 will re-break it.
  • Rivalry / Factions system: Players align with either The Foundation or The Ice King. The losing side will feel bad about it. The winning side will forget within 48 hours.
  • Two new Seven weapons: More guns. There are always more guns. One will be meta-defining. The other will be silently removed in three weeks.
  • A leaderboard with physical prizes: Game consoles, graphics cards, and merchandise for top performers, according to HYPEX. The top performers are 14 years old and have no homework due. You will not win.
  • Classic Battle Bus drop returns: The surfing mode that launched with Chapter 7 Season 1 is being retired on March 18. In its place: the classic Battle Bus. A moment of silence for surfing.
  • Overwatch crossover: Tracer and D.Va are also arriving around the same time as Looney Tunes. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is essentially a holding facility for every IP that Warner Bros. and Blizzard own.
  • Three original Jam Tracks: The Battle Pass includes original songs, because Fortnite Festival exists and Epic would like you to remember that.

Survival Tips

You have decided to participate. Here, then, is practical guidance to minimize suffering and maximize the cosmetics you are clearly going to buy anyway.

  • Log in on March 19 immediately. Servers will be down for 3–5 hours during the transition. This is normal. This is expected. Fortnite STW help will still make you furious.
  • Complete daily and weekly quests for XP. This is the most efficient way to unlock Battle Pass tiers without paying the additional 2,600 V-Bucks for a head start that you absolutely considered for a moment.
  • The Looney Tunes bundle likely offers better value than individual purchases. "Better value" in this context means "slightly less bad." Both options are losses.
  • If you intend to collect all three characters: Bugs, Daffy, and Lola: budget approximately $40–45 total including the Battle Pass. This is the price of a normal video game. A full video game. Please sit with that.
  • Do not forget: starting this season, completing the Battle Pass no longer awards bonus V-Bucks. The 500 V-Bucks that used to partially fund the next season are gone. You will need to pay full price next time too. And the time after that.
  • Watch for possible Road Runner and Elmer Fudd skins later in the season. They have not been confirmed but the leakers who got Bugs right also mentioned them. Those same leakers were sued by Epic. Make your own conclusions.
  • Space Jam cosmetics may also arrive due to Epic's Warner Bros. basketball mode that has been in development for months. LeBron James was in Fortnite in 2021. He may return wearing a Tune Squad uniform. Time is a flat circle.
  • If the servers crash on launch day, and they might, Fortnite's own Status account on X will be the first to know. Following it costs nothing. The emotional damage of reading it costs everything.
