Fortnite Hot Bat Summer Update Guide: Skins & More

The Fortnite Hot Bat Summer update went live on July 16, 2026 as patch 41.20, and it is the biggest DC crossover the game has ever bothered to make. Four new skins, a fully explorable Batcave, three new Sprites, a returning arsenal of gadgets, and a brand new win condition that can make you lose while you are the last person alive. Yes, that last part is intentional, Epic just enjoys watching you suffer.

Gotham City Summer Bundle

The new Fortnite Batman skin comes shirtless in swim trunks with a toggleable towel and belt, because apparently crimefighting requires abs now. The Fortnite Catwoman skin, called Coastal Catwoman, ships with a sarong, togglable glasses, and the Riptide Claws harvesting tool, and it is already being called the fan favorite of the bundle.

The Fortnite Harley Quinn skin, High Tide Harley, has togglable shorts and glasses in a red and blue color scheme. The Fortnite Poison Ivy skin, Chlorophyll Ivy, lets you swap between her green plant look and a plain human appearance, and it is expected to be the most purchased outfit of the entire event.

Both Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are locked behind modes rated T for 13 and up, since Epic decided these two finally earned an age gate.

The Batcave Location

The new Fortnite Batcave location sits inside Weeping Woods, with one entrance hidden behind a marked tree and a second entrance visible from across the area. Landing here drops you straight into a loot packed room stacked with chests, weapon spawns, and the unvaulted Heavy Impact Sniper and Rapid Fire SMG. Inside the cave proper you get the full Batman aesthetic: a Batmobile garage, a prison cell lined with barrels, a Poison Ivy room, a Joker and Harley Quinn room, and wall sized screens covered in bat logos. It is genuinely one of the better designed POIs Epic has shipped this year, sarcasm aside.

Batman's Beach Buggy

The new Batmobile variant, Batman's Beach Buggy, smashes through builds and terrain like they are made of wet cardboard, and it can boost off ramps and cliffs to glide through the air. Driving it into a cliff edge sends you airborne instead of into a respawn screen, which is more than most Fortnite vehicles can claim.

New Weapons and Items

The Fortnite Bank Shot Pistol looks flashy on paper but lands awkwardly in practice, since bouncing a shot off a wall into an actual player is closer to luck than skill. Carry it for the novelty, not for the kill count.

The Five New Sprites

Sprite chests were also buffed across the board, so you now pull Epic, Legendary, or Mythic rarity Sprites instead of the useless common water and fire ones that used to clog every chest.

The biggest gameplay change this patch is not a skin or a weapon. It is the Battle Bus Victory Royale rift anomaly: a Battle Bus spawns at a marked point late in the match, and at least one teammate must board it before it leaves. Multiple squads can win at once, but if your team misses the bus, you lose the match even as the last team standing on the entire island.

Consumable Rework

Supply boxes now guarantee one healing item, one small shield potion, and a stack of ammo every single time. Apples now heal for 15 instead of 5, peppers heal for 10 instead of 5, and the golden apple restores 50 HP while granting temporary low gravity, and you can carry up to three at once.

A Galaxy skin remix bundle is arriving as the first ever variant of the original Galaxy outfit, alongside a new Meowscles remix and King and Queen chest skins. Two Odyssey movie skins based on Matt Damon's Odysseus, a David Beckham outfit pair, an Addison Rae icon skin, and a Patrick sidekick are all confirmed. Leakers also point to a Spider-Man collaboration teased through a mural in Weeping Woods, plus the Simpsons map returning to Reload and a John Wick crossover hitting Blitz Royale.

Fastest Way to Farm XP

Search JOGO in the Discover tab, open the developer page, hit follow, then load the ranked in Meta Piece experience. Head to the aim training section, grab a fast firing weapon, select the one HP setting, and hold down fire on the spawning guard. It is mindless, it is repetitive, and it hands out daily quest XP faster than any actual match will.

Upcoming Power Hours
