Diablo 4 Corrupted Reaper Guide: Season 14 Lair Boss
Diablo 4 Season 14 arrived. Here's the blunt guide to Paragon, mercenaries, gear breakpoints, glyphs, and Mythic Uniques so you stop being fodder.
This Diablo 4 Season 14 leveling guide exists so you stop wasting the first seven hours wandering into dead ends. No hand-holding, no filler, just the exact power sources you're supposed to abuse before everyone else figures it out. Read it, do it, thank me later, or don't: I don't actually care.
Here is the entire day compressed into one table, because paragraphs are for people who enjoy suffering.

Real Diablo 4 Paragon leveling in Season 14 is not complicated, it's just tedious, which is basically the entire genre. Path two points into Hell Tide, grab Hellmouth, then Writhe and Rot. Open a Helltide map, clear one rift to fill half the threat bar, and let the worms come to you. Kill the worms, harvest the maggots, harvest the XP orbs. Repeat until your eyes bleed or you hit the legendary nodes you actually wanted. Glyphs don't matter yet: they need level 25 minimum before most sockets even function, so don't waste early points babysitting them. Level for legendary nodes first. Everything else is a later problem, and later-you can deal with it.
Hire Raheir. He gives resistances, a bastion bubble that halves incoming damage, and an inspiration buff that multiplies damage for anyone inside his ground slam. Pair him with Alkin for Field of Languish, a flat 20% damage reduction on affected enemies. Together they let you push Torments while your gear is still embarrassing. Claim mercenary rapport rewards regularly for pale marks, and don't be precious about swapping mercs out to level the other two: the caches are worth the detour.
The moment you touch Torment 1, check every slot. Anything under 850 item power is a liability. Fix it at the blacksmith's Forge Equipment option: magic gear works fine, you don't need rares. This is the laziest, cheapest power spike available and there is no reason not to do it immediately. After that, dump every obol into weapon gambling; your weapon matters more than any other slot, full stop.
Don't masterwork anything on day one. It's gold-expensive and resource-starved: save it for gear you'll actually keep, not your placeholder trash.
Season Rank hands out skill points, Paragon points, ashes, and layer boss keys without asking you to do anything special: just play. Prioritize Earn of Death Awakening early for reputation, and keep it topped up whenever you turn in a whisper or level a glyph. At rank three you get a free RNG Mythic Unique. It might be perfect. It might be garbage you can't use for days. Either way, take it: it's still free power, and free power doesn't care about your feelings.
Diablo 4 Season 14 Torment progression gates the good stuff behind higher difficulty, so don't linger on Torment 1 out of fear. Complete the seasonal questline to unlock the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet, Hawezar: the Corrupted Reaper location everyone will be farming into the ground within a week. She requires Superior Lair Keys from Deathtoll Chambers, which drop after killing a Realmwalker or closing Ruptures inside a Nightmare Dungeon. Stockpile keys before you sit down to farm; running back and forth for one key at a time is a special kind of self-inflicted pain.

Season 14 rebuilt itemization so Mythic is a quality tier, not a separate rarity: any Ancestral Unique can roll into one with boosted affixes. Diablo 4 Mythic Uniques now come from three angles: the Corrupted Reaper's Hoard Cache, blacksmith crafting with resplendent sparks, or the jeweler's rune-crafting tab for a targeted slot. The jeweler option is the smarter spend of your sparks since you choose the item type instead of praying. Whatever drops from your first free Mythic, adapt your build around it instead of forcing your original plan: stubbornness is expensive in this game.
Diablo 4 Helltide farming is still the backbone of everything: Cinders, gem drops, and general XP all funnel through it, and gem sources got a straight buff this season so there's no excuse for empty resistance sockets. Check your lowest resistance stat and slap the matching gem in before you complain about dying. For aspects, gamble the cheapest gear slot that rolls the aspect type you need: chest pieces for 25 obols beat helms for 50, and cube-crafting a rare into a legendary is a free reroll on top.
Diablo 4 Season 14 glyphs come online once you're actually unlocking Torment tiers, so don't sacrifice early Paragon efficiency chasing them. Level them to 25 first, then 40, for the real legendary bonuses. For targeted gear, Diablo 4 Kurast Undercity runs reward legendary and ancestral armaments, occasionally a Mythic if the RNG feels generous, which it usually doesn't. Meanwhile Diablo 4 Season 14 tempering is the small, guaranteed win nobody skips: max life on defensive slots, flat duration or damage increases on offensive ones. It's scuffed early with weak recipes, but scuffed and free still beats nothing.
Picking the right Diablo 4 Season 14 best build for your class before you even start saves hours of unnecessary suffering: movement speed and AoE clear during leveling translate directly into faster Paragon farming and an earlier Torment 1 unlock. Whatever you pick, commit to it until your first real Mythic tells you otherwise.

Run Hellworm maggot farming in Helltides: kill worms for XP orbs, repeat until your Paragon board weeps mercy.
Immediately, at Torment 1. Forge magic or rare items at the blacksmith: cheap, fast, and shames your rares into relevance.
The Corrupted Reaper at Zarbinzet's Pandemonium Threshold, unlocked via Superior Lair Keys from Deathtoll Chambers: best Mythic drop rate around.
Raheir for survivability and damage buffs, Aldkin for Field of Languish's damage reduction: together they carry you through early Torments.
No. Masterworking is gold-expensive and resource-limited: save it for gear you're actually keeping, not your day-one placeholder junk.
