Where Is Xur This Week: May 15–19, 2026 Inventory Guide

Since The Final Shape, Xur has a permanent weekend address. You do not need a tracker, a Discord bot, or a Reddit post to find him. Fast travel to either Tower node, walk toward Ikora and Hawthorne, find the Ramen Shop on the back wall, and take the right alley. Xur is there looking judgmental, as always.

He arrives with the daily reset on Friday and vanishes at the Tuesday weekly reset. Four days. Plenty of time: and yet, every week, someone misses him. Those people know who they are.

Exotic Weapons

This week Xur brings four exotic weapons. One of them is worth your Strange Coins. One is conditionally interesting. Two are D2 exotic service.

Where Is Xur This Week: May 15–19, 2026 Inventory Guide

Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon is the only Destiny 2 exotic that drops with random rolls, which means Xur is your weekly opportunity to gamble with pocket change. Paracausal Shot is the exotic perk: land precision hits and final blows to stack Paracausal Charge, and the last round in the magazine deals disgusting bonus damage based on your stack count. Seven stacks can one-tap a body shot. One stack does almost nothing. The weapon rewards accuracy and punishes everyone else.

For a Hawkmoon god roll, you want Hammer-Forged Rifling for range, Eye of the Storm in the third column (accuracy and handling as your health drops: perfect for PvP duels), and Smooth Grip for handling and stability. The Exotic Catalyst, Hunter's Trace, adds magazine size plus stat bonuses scaling with your Paracausal stacks. In PvE this gun is close to useless for high-end content. In the Crucible, with the right roll, it is one of the most effective hand cannons in the game: provided you can hit heads. If you cannot hit heads consistently, the Queenbreaker also sitting in this week's inventory will not save you either.

Hawkmoon verdict: Inspect the roll before buying. Hammer-Forged Rifling + Eye of the Storm is the standard to match. A bad roll is 23 Strange Coins wasted on a weapon that will demotivate you for a week.

SUROS Regime

The SUROS Regime is Golden Age technology that has somehow survived every sandbox patch Bungie has ever deployed. SUROS Legacy gives the bottom half of the magazine bonus damage and a chance to return health on kill. Spinning Up increases fire rate the longer you hold the trigger. It is a consistent, reliable auto rifle that does exactly what it says it will. Not flashy. Not broken. It is, as one community reviewer put it, "strong, consistent, and reliable." The kind of weapon you equip without shame and never discuss in content creator tier lists.

Lord of Wolves

Lord of Wolves peaked years ago. Its Volatile Light perk: shots with reduced damage falloff, overpenetration, and ricochet: sounds more impressive than it performs in the current meta. Skip it unless you have a specific reason, a matching sentimental attachment, or have not logged in since before The Final Shape and are collecting backlog exotics.

Exotic Armor

Xur sells one piece of exotic armor per class each week, with randomized stat distributions. Before purchasing, equip a Ghost Armorer mod matching the stat you want (Discipline, Recovery, Strength, etc.) and preview the piece: you can sometimes shift the stat allocation on one of his offered exotics. Not all pieces respond to the swap, but at least one per week usually does. Do not skip this step. Overpaying Strange Coins for a useless stat roll is an avoidable mistake.

Note

An Insurmountable Skullfort

Titan

Arc melee kills restore health and melee energy. Strong for melee-heavy Arc builds.

No Backup Plans

Gauntlets

Titan

Shotgun kills proc Void overshield. Niche but functional in specific Void setups.

Oathkeeper

Gauntlets

Hunter

Bows can be held at full draw indefinitely. Still doing exactly what it has always done.

Triton Vice

Gauntlets

Hunter

Strand grapple perks. Build-specific. You know if you need it.

Crown of Tempests

Helmet

Warlock

Arc kills extend Stormtrance. An Arc Warlock staple that keeps its usefulness quietly.

Cenotaph Mask

Helmet

Warlock

Void weapon kills generate heavy ammo for the fireteam. Genuinely useful in endgame.

Cenotaph Mask deserves a mention this week. Void weapon final blows generate heavy ammo for your entire fireteam, which makes it a legitimate asset in raids, dungeons, and GMs. If you run Warlock and do not own it, this is a buy. For Titan players, Skullfort is the better of the two options if you are running any Arc melee build.

Exotic Class Items

Xur sells all three exotic class items this week: Relativism (Hunter Cloak), Stoicism (Titan Mark), and Solipsism (Warlock Bond). Each costs 41 Strange Coins and drops with randomized dual-perk combinations from two separate exotic perk pools. There is no cap on purchases, which means you can spend every Strange Coin you own chasing a double-god-roll and statistically, you probably will. The exotic class item system is RNG-gated in a way that would be considered aggressive if the game did not have so much other content to distract you from noticing.

Class item note: Check current community tier lists for desirable perk combos before spending 41 coins per roll. Knowing what you are hunting before you start hunting it is, apparently, optional information that many players discover only after the third or fourth purchase.

Exotic Catalysts

This week Xur carries two catalysts: the Lumina Catalyst and the Heir Apparent Catalyst. Lumina's catalyst improves its healing-adjacent loop, useful if Noble Rounds are central to your support build. Heir Apparent's catalyst improves its Arc Shield mechanic. If you use either weapon and do not own the catalyst, these are straightforward purchases. If you do not use the weapons, catalysts for exotic weapons you do not run are effectively decorative.

Exotic Armor

Strange Gear: Legendary Weapons

Xur's legendary inventory rotates weekly and occasionally surfaces worthwhile rolls. This week's offering skews heavily toward hand cannons, which is either convenient or a personal attack depending on your loadout preferences.

Weapon

Worth Checking

Vulpecula

Hand Cannon Legendary

Inspect the roll. Aggressive frame HC with potential.

Targeted Redaction

Hand Cannon Legendary

Check perks. Situational depending on the week's perk roll.

Warden's Law

Hand Cannon Legendary

Double-fire burst HC. Niche, notable. Worth a look for PvP experiments.

Interference VI

Grenade Launcher Legendary

Inspect for wave-frame GL perks.

Berenger's Memory

Grenade Launcher Legendary

Area denial GL. Check for Spike Grenades + Ambitious Assassin combo.

First In, Last Out

Shotgun Legendary

Aggressive frame shotgun. Standard inspection applies.

Whistler's Whim

Combat Bow Legendary

Roll-dependent. Bow players know what they need.

Aberrant Action

Sidearm Legendary

Rapid-fire sidearm. Inspect for Aggressive Tracking or Perpetual Motion.

Heretic's Fervor

Rocket Launcher Legendary

Check for Bipod or Demolitionist. Skip otherwise.

How to Farm Strange Coins

Strange Coins are Xur's currency since The Final Shape, awarded from all ritual playlist activities. Every time you complete a Vanguard Op, Crucible match, or Gambit game, you earn a handful. The word "handful" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.

The fastest reliable farm for solo players is Devil's Lair in the Cosmodrome. Short strike, roughly seven minutes per run, four coins per completion. It is not inspiring. Nothing about Strange Coin farming is inspiring. For those who can field a competent fireteam, Grandmaster Nightfalls pay approximately nine coins per 15-minute run: up to 36 coins per hour when you are efficient about D2 Trials of Osiris carry.

One important efficiency mechanic: after spending 47 Strange Coins with Xur, grab Favor of the Nine from his More Strange Offers tab. It is free and grants a bonus coin chance on every subsequent drop. The effect lasts 11 days and stacks up to three times. Not grabbing it every week is leaving coins on the floor. Xur's reputation track also rewards Enhancement Cores, Prisms, and Exotic Engrams as you rank up: so spending coins is never purely transactional.

Ghost Armorer tip: Before buying any exotic armor from Xur, equip an Armorer Ghost mod for the stat you want: Discipline, Recovery, Strength, etc. Re-inspect the item. On at least one piece per week, the stat distribution shifts to favor that mod. This does not always work, but when it does, it saves you from buying a 45-stat piece with most of it dumped into Strength on a build that does not melee once.

Where Is Xur This Week: May 15–19, 2026 Inventory Guide FAQ

Where exactly is Xur this week in Destiny 2?

Tower Bazaar, alleyway right of the Ramen Shop. Same place he has been since The Final Shape. Every week.

Is Hawkmoon worth buying from Xur this week?

Inspect the roll first. Target Hammer-Forged Rifling and Eye of the Storm. A bad roll is 23 coins wasted.

What is the fastest way to farm Strange Coins before Xur leaves?

Devil's Lair solo or GM Nightfalls with a fireteam. Grab Favor of the Nine first if Xur is still active.

Should I buy an exotic class item from Xur this week?

Only if you know which perk combo you want. Blind-buying at 41 coins per roll gets expensive faster than expected.

When does Xur leave this week in Destiny 2?

Tuesday at the weekly reset, May 19, 2026. Set a reminder or accept the consequences of not setting one.
