Destiny 2 Weekly Reset June 16 – Patch 9.7.0.1 Fixes & Loot

This is a post-Monument-of-Triumph hotfix: Destiny 2 patch 9.7.0.1 dropped June 16 alongside weekly reset and addresses a list of problems that ranged from mildly annoying to "this armor set is murdering the player wearing it."

The Shattered Throne 4-piece set bonus Truth to Power was increasing incoming damage on the wearer. Bungie fixed it. Welcome to the club where armor sets no longer kill their owners.

Activities & Dungeons

The Destiny 2 exotic armor fixes in this patch are extensive. Pre-Monument exotic armor could ship with less mod energy than intended: now corrected. Hazardous Propulsion exotic rockets refused to fire more than once per life without Shieldburst. Fixed.

Abilities

• Howl of the Storm: now applies correct Stasis Freeze type on bosses.
• Heat Rises: was failing to give directional acceleration to Strafe/Balanced Glide. Fixed.
• Weakened Clear artifact mod: was overheating blasters instead of clearing heat. Fixed.

Quests & Rewards

• Eris weekly Slow-Wave Disruption bounty: now rewards a guaranteed Tier 5 Moon weapon instead of the obsolete Hymn of Desecration. Hymn description updated: safe to dismantle.
• Xenophage quest (The Journey): players with full consumables inventory were locked out of receiving the Strange Hive Tablet. Fixed.
• NLS Courier ship from Spider: was incorrectly gated. Now requires Renegades campaign completion. Been broken since December. Better late than never, I guess.
• Arena Ops bonus focus: was sometimes guaranteeing holofoils. Corrected. Holofoils remain appropriately miserable to obtain.
• Sparrow Racing League: power level of base SRL reward gear increased.

World Pool Engram: Armor sets available changed to Tech Swordmaster and Bashid sets.

The Destiny 2 featured raids this week reward farmable Tier 5 gear. Desert Perpetual is always up: it's the newest raid and Bungie knows it. For the rest of the rotation:

Vanguard Ops Alerts

Complete all three activities in the Vanguard Ops featured weapon alert chain and you earn Punching Out. Bonus focus this week is Mint Retrograde: updated version, perks may have changed from the original Renegades drop.

Pantheon

Single-boss reprise rotations are now featured alongside full Pantheon playlists. This week: Gahlran (Reprise) and Consecrated Mind (Encore). Yes, the same Consecrated Mind that had broken enemy spawns. Patch fixed that. Probably fine now.

Arena Ops

Black Armory weapons remain in the pool and are worth farming. Holofoil exploit patched: back to suffering for them the normal way.

Vendors

Zavala – Featured Weapon

This week's Zavala vendor weapon is the Oxygen SR3 Scout Rifle. Tier 5. Perks include Burning Ambition and Meganora; Incandescent may be available on rolls. If you've been waiting for a reason to talk to Zavala, this is the best one in weeks.

Ada-1 – Shaders & Armor

Featured armor this week: Noble Constant, Terra Concord, Retrograde, and Devastation Complex sets. Multiple tabs available: no weekly lockout timer visible on them. Shaders rotating daily: check before assuming they're gone.

• Refurbished Black Armory: 10,000 Glimmer. Solid shader, possibly new to Ada's rotation.
• Vanguard Magnus Gloss: 10,000 Glimmer

• Kyros Black: from Curse of Osiris, back again
